Template defaults

In case you guys didn't know, you can set defaults to the values a template can take. That will let you (for instance) set the default on this template to "-" so that you don't have to specify that you don't have any values for Monks and Savants, it'll just fill them automatically. - Ildran 19:30, 30 March 2006 (PST)

Categorization

Oh, you also can make a template automatically add articles its added to to a category by putting <includeonly>[[Category:Skills]]</includeonly> in it. The <includeonly> tags tell it that it shouldn't add itself to the category, only stuff that includes it. It might be useful in this case, so that you don't have to explicitly mark every skill as being in the category. - Ildran 19:32, 30 March 2006 (PST)

Two rather good suggestions. I've used them both in the past, specifically in Template:Weapon table entry and Template:Delete, respectively. -Belathus 19:44, 30 March 2006 (PST)
News to me, thanks for the info! *SammichKing*..who?..wha? 21:06, 30 March 2006 (PST)
