Upon receiving a successful physical attack ([[melee]], [[bolt]], and [[maneuver]]), the [[wizard]] can 'snap' back in time to immediately before the attack occured. Having knowledge of the inevitably oncoming blow allows the wizard to face the attack with an increase of +200 to their generic [[defensive strength]] as well as an increase in maneuver defense. The base chance for this to occur is 10%, and is increased by 1% for every 30 skill bonus in [[Elemental Mana Control]] (max 20%).
