Tilamaire is the patron of music and dance.

The servant of Cholen, it is said that he gained his position by singing a song so full of joy and laughter that Cholen knew this mortal must work to further his immortal designs. Tilamaire frequently travels in the guise of a wandering minstrel to seek out new musical talents. Upon finding one worthy of his time, he offers to stay and tutor them, greatly increasing their skill and often bestowing magical abilities.

Tilamaire's form is that of a young man with tawny hair, wide eyes, and full lips. He often dons a cloak like that of his master, and is seldom without several musical instruments on his person. In manner, he is carefree and exuberant. His symbol is a yellow note on a field of blue.

Shrines, Statuary, and Holy Places

Cleric Guilds

Displayed in the Prayer Rooms of each Cleric Guild is a state of Tilamaire. These prayer rooms are considered a holy shrine to multiple deities.

Although not classically handsome there is a youthful exuberance about this young man that makes him powerfully attractive. A flute is stuck in his belt and in his hand he holds a small harp. His head is cocked to one side and his eyes are half closed, as if listening to some soft, distant music.

You reach out and touch the statue of Tilamaire.

A soft wave of magic flows over you, making your skin tingle with Tilamaire's energies.

Wehnimer's Landing Cleric Guild

Located in the Antechamber of Others is a statue of Tilamaire. This area is not considered a holy shrine.

In bright contrast to some of the others here, this figurine portrays a vital, vibrant young man with tawny hair, wide eyes, full lips, and a pleasing countenance. A multi-color patchwork cloak covers most of his attire, but his distinguishing characteristic is the number of musical instruments he wears on his person. A lute is slung over a shoulder, a small harp is clasped under one arm, a flute is clasped in one hand, and a small drum hangs at his waist. His symbol is a yellow note on a field of blue.

Kharam Dzu Cleric Guild

One of the Halls of Lessons in the Kharam Dzu Cleric Guild is dedicated to Tilamaire. The statue is identical to that in the other Cleric Guilds. It is considered a holy shrine.

Several narrow, angled openings are cut in straight lines into the rock high overhead, each trickling water down the walls. Every few moments, bursts of hot steam rush through each opening, creating a simple tune in a deep thrumming bass amidst the surroundings. The floor is adorned with intricate tilework depicting various musical instruments, all rendered in a fanciful manner. A small altar stands to the south, directly in front of a statue of an exuberant young man holding a harp.

Crafted from sturdy vultite, the altar stands a little taller than the average halfling, its silvery blue color gleaming softly in the light. Across the front of the altar is a golden note, polished to an immaculate shine. A small open book lies upon its surface.

In the Common language, it reads:
"Bawdy songs, boisterous tunes. They make a dwarf happy, and Tilamaire too."
