The Unarmed defense factor (UDF) is a measure of a target's defensive strength against unarmed attacks. It is one of the elements that make up the unarmed combat system's (UCS) combat resolution formula. Its function is similar to defensive strength in AS/DS combat and most of the components that determine DS are also UDF factors. However, there are a few differences. Most notably a (Level * 2) UDF bonus. Also room lighting conditions which affect DS are factored into UCS combat by increasing/decreasing the multiplier modifier.
