Vaalorian Medals and Decorations is an Official GemStone IV Document, and it is protected from editing.

Military

Following is a list of service medals and their criteria, as issued by House Vaalor. All medals are applicable to both the active Crimson Legion and the Crimson Legion Reserves.

A bronze wyvern - Hammer-forged in bas-relief, this circular bronze medal bears the image of a wyvern in flight. Affixed is a tapered crimson ribbon.

  • Issued for distinguished service in battle.
  • Criteria: Undertaking activities that exceed the call of duty pertaining to combat, while at no risk to self.

A silver wyvern - Hammer-forged in bas-relief, this circular silver medal bears the image of a wyvern in flight. Affixed is a tapered crimson ribbon with a single gold stripe.

  • Issued for distinguished service in battle with personal risk.
  • Criteria: Undertaking activities that exceed the call of duty pertaining to combat while at substantial risk to self.

A golden wyvern - Hammer-forged in bas-relief, this circular gold medal bears the image of a wyvern in flight. Affixed is a tapered crimson ribbon with two gold stripes.

  • Issued for bravery in battle.
  • Criteria: Undertaking actions in battle at great personal risk that directly benefit the safety/security of one's bandon, fellow Legionnaires, or residents of Ta'Vaalor or the fortress itself.

An eahnor wyvern - Hammer-forged in bas-relief, this circular eahnor medal bears the image of a wyvern in flight. Affixed is a tapered crimson ribbon with three gold stripes.

  • Issued for heroism.
  • Criteria: Undertaking actions in time of war at great personal risk that directly benefits the safety/security of one's bandon, fellow Legionnaires, or residents of Ta'Vaalor or the fortress while not involved in active combat.

A mithril wyvern - Hammer-forged in bas-relief, this circular mithril medal bears the image of a wyvern in flight. Affixed is a tapered crimson ribbon.

  • Issued for good conduct.
  • Criteria: Two years continuous active service with substantial positive contributions to the Crimson Legion. (OOC NOTE: Multiple warn interacts, warn harassments, or substantial legal violations within the two year period will cause potential recipient to be deemed ineligible)

Civilian

Following is a list of service medals and their criteria, issued by House Vaalor. All medals are achievable by both citizens and non citizens. These are the civilian equivalents to the Legion medal.

A bronze dragonstalk (civilian) - Hammer-forged in bas-relief, this diamond-shaped bronze medal bears the image of a dragonstalk in full bloom. Affixed is a simple gold ribbon.

  • Issued for distinguished service in time of war.
  • Criteria: Undertaking activities that exceed the call of duty during time of war, while at no risk to self.

A silver dragonstalk (civilian) - Hammer-forged in bas-relief, this diamond-shaped silver medal bears the image of a dragonstalk in full bloom. Affixed is a simple gold ribbon with a single crimson stripe.

  • Issued for distinguished service in time of war with personal risk.
  • Criteria: Undertaking activities that exceed the call of duty during time of war while at substantial risk to self.

A mithril dragonstalk (civilian) - Hammer-forged in bas-relief, this diamond-shaped mithril medal bears the image of a dragonstalk in full bloom. Affixed is a simple gold ribbon.

  • Issued for Good Conduct.
  • Criteria: Two years of continuous residency in which the recipient has exhibited substantial positive influence to Vaalorian society without negative impact.
  • (OOC NOTE: Multiple warn interacts, warn harassments, or substantial legal violations within the two year period will cause potential recipient to be deemed ineligible)

Achievement

Following is a list of decorations issued by House Vaalor for specific achievements.

A copper drake (an achievement medal) - Cast in copper, this medal is shaped in the form of a long hollow tube atop a columnar pedestal scattered with tiny orbs. Affixed is a rectangular fire red ribbon of silk.

  • Issued for excellence in utilization of town defenses.
  • Criteria: Show exceptional skill and dedication to the operation of town defenses.

A tiny silver handaxe (an achievement medal) - Cast in brushed silver, this medal is shaped in the form of a handaxe lying across a fallen tree. Affixed is a simple forest green ribbon.

  • Issued for harvesting lumber to restock the ballista.
  • Criteria: Significant sacrifice of personal time in pursuit of harvesting lumber to restock the town's ballista.

Campaign

Following is a list of decorations issued by House Vaalor for participation in specific campaigns.

A black griffin (a campaign medal) - Hammer forged in bas relief, this square black vaalin medal bears the image of a war griffin in flight. Affixed is a narrow white ribbon.

  • Issued for the battle for Old Ta'Faendryl.
  • Criteria: Participation in the battle for Old Ta'Faendryl and a minimum of fifty percent of preceding engagements.
