Smooth black basalt forms a squat cone, taller than many giantmen. The rock looks almost to have been molded or poured into shape, lacking any sign of having been worked. The top is apparently open, allowing the wasps access to the interior. A deep hum radiates from the nest, implying a feverish level of activity inside.

Other information

It is incredibly unwise to attack a wasp nest through physical and bolt attacks, as there is a chance that a horde of wasps could exit the nest and sting you to death, leaving minor wounds all over your body if you do so. There is no chance to avoid this maneuver should it trigger.

The stinging maneuver is as follows:

You gesture at a wasp nest.
You hurl a roaring ball of fire at a wasp nest!
AS: +310 vs DS: +150 with AvD: +22 + d100 roll: +6 = +188
The wasp nest scoffs at the heat!
Suddenly a swarm of wasps erupts from the wasp nest, filling the air with the dreadful droning of their wings! The enraged wasps block out the sky as they swoop down to defend their nest!

The great swarm descends upon you! Their glistening stingers hammer into you over and over, and you feel your life slipping away as you collapse.

It seems you have died, my friend. Although you cannot do anything, you are keenly aware of what is going on around you...

If you can manage to take one down, they drop reticulated orbs of various colors, which sell for about 1500 silvers at the local gemshop.

If the nest takes damage, wasps may spawn of whatever kind is in the area. An area with cinder wasps will therefore have cinder wasp nests, and an area with mud wasps will have mud wasp nests.
