Summary

 • Plague continues to sweep the Landing as Thadston meets adventurers outside Moot Hall with a report on the disease. Though only temporary for some, sixteen townspeople are confirmed suffering long-term effects of the plague and two militia members passed in the morning.
 • Thadston says he's putting together plans to get rid of the bleakstone statue of Mayor Lylia, having deemed it a threat. Lylia says the ultimate cause of the blight is Raznel and Thadston says he merely wishes to rob Raznel of a tool. Later in the evening he says perhaps by week's end.
 • Thadston adds that says they're no longer moving townspeople, as they're being turned away at the Imperial border now.
 • Balley asks if Raznel's in hiding and having her minions do work so she doesn't have to show herself; Thadston says clearly yes and suggests decorating Moot Hall with the corpses of Rhayveign and her crew. Captain Stormyrain says some of them are citizens and thus protected under the laws; Thadston says that's the problem, citizenship and laws protecting evil people; Stormy says people have different definitions of evil; he says he leads the militia and can help decide on the response to threats; she acknowledges him as the interim marshal; he calls her an interim captain; she says that's incorrect given her appointment by Thrayzar; he says they're all interim in a sense.
 • Darcena takes umbrage to Thadston, saying he waltzes in, hides things, insults and threatens her pack, and gets Stormy ruffled. Thadston says he never waltzes, Darcena's not a wolf, asks who he threatened that she feels endangered by, and says that since she's militia, maybe she should redirect her temper. She sarcastically says he put her in her place; he says he won't have his hand bit twice.
 • Thadston says he's spoken with Breshon and he's bringing aid from Bourth, as they hope the supplies survive; Lylia adds that it's in addition to supplies from the port.
 • Thadston says we may need to discuss quarantine, but it might be beyond that, as they've recovered two dozen townspeople showing signs of the rot that killed two militia members. Ysharra says a quarantine much not do much with something that spreads from plants to animals and people; he agrees with her that it might not, but says doing nothing is a fool's errand. He says he'll discuss it with the captains and mayor shortly.
 • Thadston asks Magister Raelee about his request for a glass coffin; she says the request has been made and will see what she can do. He asks about Dennet's notes and work; she reminds him he never came to see her and discuss them as he said he would; he says they'll do such.
 • Thadston goes back to what Darcena said earlier, asking what she thinks he's hiding; Lylia steps in to say the purpose of the coffin isn't hidden, but also isn't clear and she doesn't see the reason for it since Raznel isn't likely to be surprised. Thadston says that it's not for Raznel since he intends to end her one paragon at a time.
 • Thadston says he needs to speak with the captains and mayor briefly, but before they leave, he apologizes that he can come across rude. He reiterates that Raznel's murdered his wife, worn her face, corrupted his son Disean, and damaged the town and its people. He says no one here is his enemy and wishes all a good night.

Idle Chatter

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see an herbal remedy donation bin and some stone benches with some stuff on it.

Also here: Kleef, Lyrna, Gypsy Scribe Balley, Zosopage, Shinann, Chaoswynd, Conquerer of Reim Darkkstormmer, Giocoso, Sir Cryheart, Eyona, Jennora, Echonar, Lord Tanndrill, Visions, Hallbjorn, Musix, Lord Zatixx who is kneeling, Event Planner Leafiara, Saireth who is sitting, Journeyman Enderr, Snoobie who is kneeling, Ysharra, Magister Raelee, Aeleth who is kneeling, Faennian who is kneeling

Thunder rumbles in the distance.

Balley softly says, "I just saw lighting."

Speaking suspiciously to Cryheart, Leafiara says, "If I don't see Pukk soon, I'll have to take his job."

Zosopage says, "Now the real hard stuff to do."

Leafiara recites:

"In the absence of Pukk... join Cryheart!"

Cryheart says, "Perhaps too early."

Speaking adamantly to Cryheart, Leafiara exclaims, "Never too early!"

Speaking to Leafiara, Zosopage says, "Doesn't work for you either."

Speaking softly to Raelee, Ysharra says, "At least the blight isn't accompanied by a drought."

Speaking to Ysharra, Raelee says, "It would have been a clever addition, however."

Balley softly says, "Well at least the crops are not dry."

Darcena says, "The decaying crops."

Speaking suddenly to Raelee, Leafiara asks, "Wait, does Raznel -have- control over the weather?"

Darcena says, "Good thing I don't eat plants much."

Cryheart asks, "But ye do eat fish and such?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Raelee says, "Leafi I do not know, however... it is not difficult."

Darcena says, "No, no, no fish."

Cryheart says, "Ok."

Leafiara relents, "Fair enough, I suppose."

Plague

Thadston: "Eve."

Boils suddenly break out all over Zosopage, who takes a deep breath and appears to be suffering a great deal of pain.

Zosopage: "Good eve, Thadston."

Madmountan says, "Thadston."

Leafiara: "Evenin'!"

Madmountan says, "On the amulet."

Balley softly says, "That does not look good."

Ysharra: "Hello, Thadston."

Avalera: "Good evening to you, sir."

Cryheart: "Good evening, Lord Thadston."

Speaking to herself, Darcena grumbles, "Not him again."

Speaking suspiciously to Zosopage, Leafiara asks, "You alright there?"

Timoen quietly says, "I'm gonna go..."

Lyrna says, "The weather was more of Daukhera's thing."

Speaking bemusedly to Razanetika, Leafiara says, "Remind me to get the dress back at some point."

Speaking to Leafiara, Zosopage says, "Ya just had something in my eye."

Lylia: "Good evening."

Timoen hoots at Leafiara.

Speaking slowly to Zosopage, Leafiara says, "...right."

Shinann: "Evening, Thadston."

Timoen quietly says, "I'm an owl now."

Boils suddenly break out all over Zosopage, who takes a deep breath and appears to be suffering a great deal of pain.

Balley softly says, "You sure you ok Zoso."

Darcena: "Thadston."

Speaking dubiously to Zosopage, Leafiara says, "I mean, really."

Balley softly says, "You are covered in boils."

Wolfloner's neck swells up. That can't feel good.

Darcena: "Thadston."

Speaking tentatively to Zosopage, Leafiara says, "Ya sure don't loo--"

Leafiara glances at Wolfloner.

Zosopage asks, "I am?"

Red spots appear on Eledryn's skin suddenly. The edges are slightly raised and seem to be spreading rapidly.

Speaking to Wolfloner, Leafiara concernedly asks, "Are -you- alright...?"

Leafiara thoughtfully says, "I'm going to go with no."

Lyrna's neck swells up. That can't feel good.

Darcena slowly says, "I don't think that's something I can provide immediate help on."

Leafiara suddenly asks, "Wait. -Do- you all feel alright?"

Zosopage's skin suddenly becomes bright red. Scratching at it fiercely, he breaks the skin and causes it to bleed.

Balley softly says, "Be careful Zoso may be contagious."

Leafiara curiously says, "Because if you do feel alright, maybe this is just an illusion."

Wolfloner's neck swells up. That can't feel good.

Kipara's neck swells up. That can't feel good.

Lyrna says, "Er..."

Zosopage says, "I can feel it pouring through my veins."

Avalera says, "Oof."

Leafiara slowly says, "But none of you are looking too good right now--Eledryrn, Wolf, Lyrna, Zoso."

Cryheart says, "Hmmm."

Scale-like, shiny blebs begin to appear on Eledryn's skin, growing with frightening rapidity.

Razanetika softly asks, "Why does everyone have red spots and itchy skin?"

Leafiara says, "And Kipara."

Lyrna's neck swells up. That can't feel good.

Lyrna says, "I'm not sure what's happening."

Razanetika softly asks, "Where'd everyone go?"

Kipara hoarsely says, "The Eidolon itchy curse is better than this."

Balley softly says, "This is not looking good."

Darcena slowly asks, "Do you feel okay?"

Leafiara slowly says, "That would be the plague."

Zosopage's skin begins to crack and peel, bleeding from the fresh wounds, pus oozing out disgustingly.

Kipara hoarsely says, "Shoulda stayed in Sol Haven."

Lyrna says, "I don't feel.. bad."

Wolfloner's neck swells up. Looks painful.

Kipara's neck swells up. That can't feel good.

Wolfloner says, "I feel fine."

Red spots appear on Eledryn's skin suddenly. The edges are slightly raised and seem to be spreading rapidly.

Lyrna says, "Odd, more than anything."

Wolfloner says, "So far."

Lyrna's neck swells up. Looks painful.

Darcena says, "That doesn't smell very good."

Lyrna says, "That didn't feel good."

Speaking wryly to Darcena, Leafiara says, "...yeah."

Eledryn asks, "I don't suppose your magics can help with this, can they?"

Darcena grabs a bone-lined collection bag from a small pocket inside of her black leather coat.

Darcena removes a short iron lancet with a finely honed edge from in her collection bag.

Shinann says, "No, it is magical."

Darcena asks, "Maybe with this?"

Darcena gives her lancet a little prod with the tip of her finger.

Zosopage says, "I feel better than I look that's for sure."

Eledryn says, "I'll just... stand over here."

Kipara's neck swells up. Looks painful.

Lyrna asks, "Can you undisease...?"

Speaking tentatively to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "Well, if it's anything like past plagues, it's going to hurt, but it'll end in time..."

Darcena murmurs, "I have leeches, too..."

Zosopage's skin begins to dry up and flake off, leaving scabbed up wounds that must ache with their contained pus. Zosopage gasps for breath as the disease wracks his body.

Speaking to Zosopage, Leafiara says, "There's the hurt part."

Wolfloner's face becomes flushed and he breaks out in a sweat.

Darcena says, "I'm not sure that my spell is strong enough."

Scale-like, shiny blebs begin to appear on Eledryn's skin, growing with frightening rapidity.

Lyrna's face becomes flushed and she breaks out in a sweat.

Balley softly says, "This is not good."

Speaking to Leafiara, Eledryn says, "I hope it passes quickly, because that's going to kind of put a damper on my love life."

Lyrna says, "Hearing a voice."

Thadston: "I'll be along shortly."

Zosopage says, "I won't be hugging anyone, anytime soon."

Speaking tentatively to Eledryn, Leafiara says, "Well, in the past her plagues have passed through in a few minutes."

Kipara's face becomes flushed and she breaks out in a sweat.

Speaking to Lyrna, Shinann asks, "What are you hearing?"

Spasms wrack Zosopage's body as a cluster of boils erupt over his neck and face, causing him to choke and fight for air.

Leafiara unhelpfully adds, "But that's no guarantee of the same thing now."

Speaking to Grel, Zosopage says, "Thank you."

Lyrna says, "There was a sound of irritation..."

Wolfloner's body is wracked painfully by his disease!

... 3 points of damage!

Wolfloner's ribs warp and crack violently.

Dark, yellowish nodules erupt from Eledryn's skin. Some of the nodules ooze or bleed, others seem to make it difficult for him to move in certain places.

... 10 points of damage!

Eledryn's stomach muscles jerk uncontrollably.

Buboes suddenly erupt over Beldannon's body. Definitely painful.

Lyrna falls and rolls around as if in a stupor, laughing for no apparent reason.

Speaking to Razanetika, Eledryn says, "Please, for your own good, don't touch me."

Madmountan says, "You folks got some yuckies goin' on."

From nearby, you hear Gutstorm yell, "Brin me alcheehol!"

Speaking to Razanetika, Eledryn says, "As much as I'd enjoy it in any other circumstances."

From nearby, you hear Cryheart yell, "Raznel!"

Beldannon darkly says, "Who gave me a disease."

Beldannon suddenly shouts a well-rounded series of truly redolent expletives about broken lines and lost fish.

Kipara looks very confused and falls over.

Leafiara musingly says, "The symptoms are oddly similar to the black blood curse, just... without the black blood part."

Lyrna says, "That..."

Thick boils sprout up along Zosopage's body, erupting a thick, clear liquid that runs along his skin disgustingly. Zosopage gasps for breath just as a boil erupts from the tip of his nose, the liquid running into his open mouth.

Wolfloner looks very confused and falls over.

From nearby, you hear Cryheart yell, "Owly keep flying..folks are getting sick!"

Faennian asks, "We have trouble incoming?"

All of Eledryn's hair begins to turn white, some of it falling to the ground in clumps. He looks extremely weak.

... 10 points of damage!

Eledryn's vertebrae vibrate causing extreme pain.

Beldannon's neck swells up. That can't feel good.

Lyrna looks very confused and falls over.

Some townspeople wander by, itching at scabs along their necks and arms.

A pale-faced coppery barn owl flies in.

Beldannon darkly says, "Very odd nothing happened to me yet I am having these problems and I just awoke, how strange."

Eledryn says, "Vibrating..."

Lyrna says, "How close does she have to be..."

Speaking to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, Leafiara agrees, "I'm with Cryheart, keep on flying."

Lyrna asks, "To do this?"

Wolfloner's body is wracked painfully by his disease!

... 15 points of damage!

Minor muscle tearing on Wolfloner's left leg.

Zosopage says, "See if that helps."

Speaking to Lyrna, Leafiara admits, "It's unclear, truly."

Kipara looks very confused and falls over.

Lyrna asks, "Is it worth looking for her?"

Scabs cover Zosopage's skin, thick and dark with his blood. Boils break constantly, leaking a clear liquid that runs oil-like over him.

Wolfloner says, "Wounded now."

Speaking frankly to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "...nope."

Beldannon's neck swells up. That can't feel good.

Lyrna looks very confused and falls over.

Wolfloner says, "May not be safe to heal."

Zosopage says, "Starting to feel better."

The blebs on Eledryn's skin swell and expand, some bursting and horribly disfiguring his skin.

... 15 points of damage!

Strips of flesh flayed from Eledryn's back.

Beldannon yells, "Kill her in all the time periods!"

Faennian asks, "Is healing these folks safe?"

Faennian asks, "Anyone tried?"

Speaking to Zatixx, Eledryn says, "In time, perhaps, but unless you have a cure for the disease yourself ... I already wouldn't wish this on anyone."

The lesions on Wolfloner's skin disappear.

Leafiara cautiously says, "It has been safe in the past."

Kipara hoarsely says, "I was already on death's door. Least I need is an express pass."

Lyrna says, "Yes."

The lesions on Lyrna's skin disappear.

Lyrna says, "It has been tried again."

Wolfloner says, "Herbs work."

Lyrna says, "And I am getting better a bit..."

Zatixx says, "Oops."

Speaking relievedly to Lyrna, Leafiara notes, "Ah, looking better already, love..."

Faennian says, "If anyone gets in trouble, let me know."

Leafiara hugs Lyrna, who wraps her in a warm embrace.

Beldannon darkly says, "They won't help me though."

The lesions on Kipara's skin disappear.

Lyrna says, "I'll still refrain from kissing until I'm better."

All of Eledryn's hair begins to turn white, some of it falling to the ground in clumps. He looks extremely weak.

... 20 points of damage!

Major bones in Eledryn's right leg crack loudly!

Dry skin flakes off of Wolfloner leaving the new, healthy skin that was underneath.

Dry skin flakes off of Lyrna leaving the new, healthy skin that was underneath.

Beldannon's face becomes flushed and he breaks out in a sweat.

Eledryn weakly says, "I think."

Beldannon darkly says, "Very odd."

From nearby, you hear Cryheart yell, "Ye shall pay Raznel!"

Lyrna says, "Doesn't seem like it's affecting anyone in particular..."

Eledryn weakly says, "I'll just rest."

Kipara hoarsely says, "It has passed for now."

Dry skin flakes off of Kipara leaving the new, healthy skin that was underneath.

The flushed red look leaves Lyrna's face.

The disease that wracked Wolfloner finally appears to have run its course.

Leafiara tentatively says, "Well, everyone's looking mostly better... time to go join Cryheart."

Beldannon staggers as if in a stupor, laughing for no apparent reason.

Razanetika softly says, "Eledryn's leg is bleeding."

The blebs on Eledryn's skin swell and expand, some bursting and horribly disfiguring his skin.

Eledryn is forced to his knees by the crippling effects of leprosy!

... 20 points of damage!

Major bones in Eledryn's left arm crack loudly!

Wolfloner says, "Perhaps."

Speaking dubiously to Eledryn, Leafiara say, "Except for you, anyway."

Speaking to Leafiara, Eledryn says, "You and I have differing definitions of 'better'."

Razanetika softly says, "Now his left arm is bleeding."

Thadston Reports

[Town Square, East]

Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see a capricious spring spirit that is flying around, a spotted great horned owl, a grouchy mountain spirit that is flying around, a wide-scaled deep violet abyran'sa, a large purple wooden barrel, a bone-framed bulletin board and a polished bleakstone statue.

Also here: Event Planner Leafiara, Jennora, Lord Thadston, Zosopage, Gypsy Scribe Balley, Shinann, Stormyrain, Chaoswynd, Darcena who is kneeling, Relic Hunter Madmountan, Falvicar, Guarrin, Avalera, Lord Gutstorm, Shallimar, Great Lord Mongonator, a stunned Sir Cryheart, Magister Raelee, Xorus, Ysharra, Lord Zolis

Thadston winces.

The disease that wracked Zosopage finally appears to have run its course.

Thadston says, "More disease."

Thadston frowns.

Cryheart says, "Aye."

Balley offers Cryheart a snifter of single malt whiskey.

Cryheart accepts Balley's single malt whiskey.

Thadston says, "Temporary for some, it seems."

Speaking to Thadston, Ysharra says, "All within the last few minutes, as well."

Cryheart just poured his single malt whiskey on top of his head.

Thadston says, "We've many in town who are not so fortunate."

Speaking deeply to Darcena, Zolis asks, "Smell something sweet, eh?"

Zolis looks extremely weak, as though the dark nodules on his skin were eating their way inside of him.

... 8 points of damage!

Strips of flesh flayed from Zolis's back.

Cryheart says, "Hmmm."

Speaking to Thadston, Ysharra says, "Indeed. The blight, and the numerous injuries and casualties from last week-end."

Speaking deeply to Thadston, Zolis asks, "And what fresh hell have you brought upon this eve?"

Cryheart says, "Whiskey may be a cure."

Cryheart looks extremely weak, as though the dark nodules on his skin were eating their way inside of him.

... 1 point of damage!

Chest spasm makes it hard for Cryheart to breathe.

Speaking to Zolis, Darcena says, "This is very concerning."

Cryheart says, "Or not."

Darcena says, "Look at this pus."

Gutstorm exclaims, "Dash wut I shed!"

Zosopage says, "Or not."

The disease that wracked Gutstorm finally appears to have run its course.

Falvicar quietly says, "The scotch is safe then."

Speaking dubiously to Cryheart, Leafiara says, "Let us know how that works out."

Darcena says, "You are full of pus."

Speaking deeply to Balley, Zolis says, "Thank you."

Thadston says, "Two militia members passed this morning."

Cryheart says, "That is nae good."

Cryheart says, "Raznel will get hers someday."

Speaking to Thadston, Ysharra asks, "From wounds they received, or something else?"

Thadston says, "We've confimed another sixteen townspeople suffering long-term effects of this...whatever this plague is."

Avalera says, "Hopefully someday SOON."

Thadston says, "I dare not give her wickedness a name."

Balley softly asks, "Anyone affected?"

Cryheart says, "Aye."

The blebs on Zolis's skin swell and expand, some bursting and horribly disfiguring his skin.

... 12 points of damage!

Zolis's spine warps and protrudes through skin.

Cryheart looks extremely weak, as though the dark nodules on his skin were eating their way inside of him.

... 1 point of damage!

Blood vessels in Cryheart's forehead burst, spraying blood everywhere.

From nearby, you hear Beldannon yell, "Hurry up this bores me!"

Balley softly says, "Whiskey seemed to work."

Speaking to Thadston, Ysharra says, "So it's spreading from fish, crops, wildlife...and now our townsfolk."

Cryheart says, "For a short time."

Gutstorm says, "Thash wun nashtee pimple."

Thadston says, "Correct."

Speaking to Balley, Eledryn says, "This was personal before, now it's... even more personal."

Speaking to Zolis, Darcena says, "I assure you, I will bring this sample to a colleague who may have more information."

Thadston nods at Ysharra.

Thadston says, "We expected this."

Speaking deeply to Darcena, Zolis says, "Worry not, I do not fear it."

Thadston says, "We knew we'd suffer before her end."

Cryheart says, "Somewhat."

Speaking abruptly to Zolis, Darcena exclaims, "I do!"

Darcena says, "I don't want to lose you."

Thadston asks, "I'm not surrendering. Are you?"

Avalera firmly says, "No."

Leafifara pragmatically says, "The alternative was leaving Raznel alone and she'd eventually just blow up the town out of nowhere one day like she did Talador."

Thadston asks, "You don't want to lose me?"

Lylia says, "Indeed. There is precisely one way to end this. And it is to end her. She is aware of it."

Leafiara adds, "So no."

Thadston peers quizzically at Darcena.

Zosopage says, "Just making me angrier."

Speaking to Zolis, Darcena whispers aloud, "Who would be my eye candy then?"

Thadston says, "Gee,shucks."

Cryheart says, "No way am I surrendering."

Thadston smirks.

Speaking to Thadston, Darcena says, "No, no. Zolis."

Speaking to Thadston, Darcena says, "You are just a pain."

The blebs on Cryheart's skin swell and expand, some bursting and horribly disfiguring his skin.

... 3 points of damage!

Cryheart's vertebrae vibrate causing extreme pain.

Speaking in Faendryl to Thadston, Lylia says something you don't understand.

Cryheart yells, "Do ye worse, ye evil sorceress!"

Darcena says, "You're around and then you're not around then you're gone again and Stormyrain gets all het up."

Kipara hoarsely asks, "What's this now?"

Speaking in Faendryl, Lylia says something you don't understand.

Thadston asks, "Who in Kai are you screaming at?"

Thadston peers quizzically at Cryheart.

The lesions on Cryheart's skin disappear.

Stormyrain casually glances at Darcena.

Cryheart says, "It helps with the pain."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Darcena exclaims, "Well! It's true!"

Cryheart says, "Raznel."

Speaking tentatively to Cryheart, Leafiara asks, "You haven't been inhaling the mist, have you?"

Cryheart asks, "Who else?"

Thadston says, "Well, speak closer to that then."

Speaking to Leafiara, Eledryn askss, "What mist?"

Thadston points at a polished bleakstone statue.

Speaking to Eledryn, Leafiara offers, "Right over north there."

Statue Plans

Thadston says, "I'm putting together plans to get rid of your statue. Nothing personal."

Thadston nods at Lylia.

Speaking jokingly to Lylia, Kipara says, "Shall you sour the milk and wither the crops next? Seems the innocent can not escape judgement."

Thadston says, "I hope I have your approval."

Gutstorm asks, "Can I have it?"

Cryheart says, "Excellent."

Speaking to Leafiara, Eledryn says, "I have missed much in the last few days."

Lylia says, "Not at all, although I thought perhaps mithril cladding, or veil iron..."

Thadston says, "...he said, not really needing it."

Thadston says, "I've deemed it a threat."

Lyrna says, "Still polite to ask."

Leafiara mentions, "One time we destroyed a blood marble statue of Chaston. It did take a lot of work, though."

Goldstr turns toward Thadston and renders a sharp hand salute.

Cryheart says, "We considered it a threat."

Leafiara adds, "And that one -wasn't- even a threat, just... it was Chaston."

Thadston nods at Goldstr.

The disease that wracked Cryheart finally appears to have run its course.

Cryheart says, "Well..now I do feel better."

Lylia smoothly replies, "And perhaps it is, but if you believe the statue is the cause of the blight, you know better. It is only the proximal cause. The ultimate cause is Raznel."

Darcena says, "Short lived disease."

Darcena says, "Not much to worry about then."

Lyrna asks, "Have we, and by that I mean anyone, determined anything about the bleakstone?"

Speaking to Cryheart, Ysharra says, "You look Shiny again."

Cryheart says, "Thank ye those who hae healed me, over and over."

Speaking deeply to Cryheart, Zolis says, "You do not seem to look any better."

Dwi heartily says, "Oh good...locksmiths."

Thadston says, "Removing the statue will not solve it no."

Kipara hoarsely says, "Yeah, it's dangerous and mysterious."

Thadston says, "I merely wish to rob Raznel of any tool she can use."

Speaking to Zolis, Ysharra says, "You look spiky as ever."

Kipara hoarsely says, "Needs further study to understand its true properties."

Lylia says, "Absolutely."

Speaking heartily to Mongonator, Dwi says, "Stay outta da weadder...I tooka zap to da noggin."

Kipara hoarsely says, "And weaknesses."

Speaking deeply to Ysharra, Zolis asks, "Spiky?"

Speaking to Kipara, Darcena says, "I grabbed some pus from Zolis."

Thadston says, "But with some now dead..."

Speaking to Zolis, Ysharra says, "Yes. Covered in sharp edges."

Thadston says, "We're not officially moving townspeople anymore."

Dwi heartily says, "But..."

Thadston says, "In fact, on the contrary, many of them are being turned away."

Zolis deeply says, "Ahh."

Frontier Laws

Speaking softly to Thadston, Balley asks, "Do you think she is still in hiding and having her minions and magic do all this so she doesn't have to show herself?"

Speaking hoarsely to Darcena, Kipara says, "I hope it proves useful to you, otherwise I'm not sure why you did that."

Thadston says, "From the imperial border. Shocker."

Ysharra says, "Because they're sick. Or may be sick."

Speaking surprisedly to Kipara, Darcena says, "For study."

Thadston says, "Clearly, yes."

Thadston nods at Balley.

Speaking quietly to Mongonator, Dwi asks, "Who dat feller?"

Thadston says, "Kai knows she has enough minions here to do her bidding."

Dwi glances at Thadston.

Speaking to Dwi, Mongonator says, "Dunno, some bigshot."

Speaking hoarsely to Darcena, Kipara says, "Oh! Well I suppose that might be worth while. Just didn't expect you to be so...studious."

Speaking to Thadston, Darcena asks, "Minions?"

Thadston says, "Maybe we should remove the statue and decorate this Hall with the swinging corpses of Rhayveign and her crew."

Ysharra says, "The Empire wouldn't be prepared for crop death so near to harvest."

Speaking to Kipara, Darcena says, "I'm a renowned healer and herbalist."

Darcena asks, "What precisely DID you expect?"

Thadston makes the image of a noose with his hands.

Speaking softly to Thadston, Balley asks, "What are you thoughts on the Paragons Pylasar talked about? Do you know who they may be?"

Speaking hoarsely to Darcena, Kipara says, "I suppose I have taken that for granted until now."

Lylia says, "The Mirror recently beheaded a poisoner."

Zosopage says, "I guess this was inevitable after fighting all those diseased critters."

Speaking heartily to Roblar, Dwi asks, "Should I haff brung cookies?"

Speaking quietly to Thadston, Falvicar says, "Make sure the rope doesn't fall... too short."

Stormyrain mentions, "I believe some of them are citizens of this town. And as such, protected under the laws here, even if you do not agree with their--ways."

Thadston says, "I do not know who these paragons are. Pylasar says his little time lady friend is coming soon. Perhaps even this week."

Speaking hoarsely to Darcena, Kipara says, "Did not give you your proper respect in that regard."

Thadston says, "So we'll see."

Speaking frankly to Zosopage, Leafiara says, "It was inevitable the moment we decided not to leave Raznel alone."

Thadston glances at Stormyrain.

Lylia asks, "Decided not to leave her alone?"

Lylia says, "She has sent plagues of insects here for years."

Mongonator says, "Eh, a dame."

Leafiara slowly says, "Yes, I'm well aware."

Lylia says, "Has a special place in her heart for us, it would appear."

Speaking hoarsely to Leafiara, Kipara says, "Maybe she could have just been appeased with a nice gingerbread hunt and a couple orphans."

Lylia says, "Then how curious that you would put it that way."

Thadston says, "That's part of the problem."

Thadston nods at Stormyrain.

Dwi heartily says, "It's da mayer."

Thadston says, "Evil hiding behind "frontier laws"."

Speaking to Thadston, Stormyrain asks, "Which part? Their citizenship? The laws? Or me speaking out to uphold them?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Zosopage says, "They go hand in hand."

Madmountan says, "I'm not particularly fond of laws myself, to be honest."

Thadston says, "Speak all you want Captain, there's not a force in this world or beyond that could squelch your words if they tried."

Speaking to Zosopage, Leafiara asks, "...what does?"

Stormyrain smiles thinly.

Stormyrain says, "Bard, and all."

Speaking hoarsely to Dwi, Kipara says, "Raznel did not need Lylia before her election, and I doubt Raznel needs her now."

Thadston says, "I merely disagree with your...approach."

Thadston says, "That citizenship and laws protect evil people."

Zosopage says, "Inevitabilities."

Speaking heartily to Kipara, Dwi says, "He wants cookies."

Speaking to Thadston, Stormyrain says, "Indeed. Yet if you ask every person here their definition of 'evil' you would get as many different definitions."

Kipara hoarsely asks, "He who?"

Speaking simply to Stormyrain, Darcena says, "Evil are those who seek to destroy my pack."

Speaking slowly to Zosopage, Leafiara says, "That's exactly what I said."

Lylia says, "I have always preferred a...firmer hand on the reins, so to speak, but the notion of 'evil' is a notoriously subjective one. There were some who decried your going after the Rooks' nests."

Darcena slowly drawls, "Any of my pack."

Speaking to Thadston, Goldstr says, "Tis, wha be said Sir, double edged blade."

Wolfloner says, "Feudal systems are evil."

Mongonator says, "Unless you're on the top."

Lylia says, "I dislike her eternal disruption of the order of things. Hanging others will not change that. Disposing of her will."

Lylia says, "We do not treat the symptoms but the disease."

Thadston says, "Luckily I lead the militia and can help decide what threats exist and our response."

Speaking to Melikor, Ysharra says, "Thadston here wants to kill some people and hang the statue. It's a bit noisy, I may not have all that right."

Speaking to Dwi, Mongonator says, "I remember now, he a miltia fella."

Stormyrain amusedly acquiesces, "But of course, Interim Marshal. Do forgive me."

Speaking heartily to Mongonator, Dwi asks, "So...no cookies fer him?"

Thadston says, "Forgiven, Interim Captain."

Speaking plainly to Thadston, Darcena says, "I don't like you at all."

Speaking to Ysharra, Melikor says, "Hang the statue eh? Looks heavy."

Shinann says, "Umm."

Speaking deeply to Ysharra, Roblar says, "Sounds promising start to da night."

Speaking to Melikor, Ysharra says, "He said two of the militia members have died from it."

Speaking deeply to Ysharra, Zolis says, "Which, oddly, seems to coincide with whenever Thadston is about."

Stormyrain says, "I don't believe you have that part correct, Sir. But mayhaps I misunderstood my appointment under Thrayzar."

Thadston says, "We're all interim in some regard."

Thadston grins.

Evia says, "Whomever we may or may not like, we can listen and respond in a civil manner, for the good of all."

Cryheart says, "Aye."

Speaking to Roblar, Ysharra asks, "Most the townsfolk would be a hollow victory for you, wouldn't they, Bear?"

Darcena growls at Thadston.

Thadston peers quizzically at Darcena.

Lylia asks, "Surely we are not standing in a rain-storm to debate one anothers' positions and the length of time we hold them, are we?"

Kipara hoarsely says, "Let's not confuse correlation with causation."

Stormyrain whispers something to Thadston.

Thadston asks, "...and tell me, what exactly did I do to ruffle your hair?"

Lylia loftily asks, "Shall I get out an hourglass, or a calendar?"

Thadston peers quizzically at Darcena.

Leafiara flatly says, "Apparently it's either a debate over that or a debate over philosophy."

Speaking to Lylia, Lyrna says, "It does somewhat appear that way."

Speaking to Thadston, Darcena says, "You waltz in here, you hide things, you insult my pack, you threaten my pack. You get her all ruffled."

Darcena points at Stormyrain.

Dwi heartily says, "Pillosopee."

Leafiara offhandedly says, "Though normally I like philosophy, but... now of all times, curious."

Dwi heartily says, "Dat's a thing."

Speaking deeply to Ysharra, Roblar whispers aloud, "Sometimes me like to watch."

Darcena sniffs at Thadston.

Darcena says, "And you don't smell quite right."

Thadston says, "First...I don't waltz. Ever."

Mongonator asks, "Two left feet?"

Thadston asks, "Secondly, your pack?"

Lyrna asks, "So, since you have pointed out that you are leading, what have you decided?"

Speaking deeply to Ysharra, Roblar says, "Like da elven painter's head last evenin whose head rolled."

Kipara hoarsely asks, "Foxtrot sort of man?"

Speaking to Roblar, Ysharra asks, "I heard about that. Man lost his family, yes?"

In a perfect imitation of Thadston, from behind Thadston, Soneiken's voice says, "I actually two-step."

Dwi heartily asks, "Why ye chasin foxes?"

Thadston asks, "You're not a damn wolf. Wearing the mask of one doesn't make you one. Who the hell did I threaten that you feel so endangered by? Rhayveign?"

Darcena laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement from Thadston.

Speaking to Thadston, Lylia says, "When do you plan on removing the statue? I appreciate the likeness; I do not appreciate the way it stirs the townsfolk and their worries."

Thadston says, "Because two militia members are dead. From. Raznel's rot. Aren't you militia? Maybe you should redirect your little temper."

Thadston nods at Darcena.

Lylia pointedly says, "This may be a more productive line of inquiry than nosing about into people's personal affiliations."

Speaking heartily to Lylia, Dwi says, "I like it...ye kin hang yer wet skivvies onna da arms."

Speaking to Roblar, Ysharra says, "Yes. Some view."

Evia says, "Perhaps we can get on with the main point of the gathering now."

Thadston says, "We'll address the statue soon. Perhaps by week's end. Sooner the better, especially with the disease spreading to people and affecting some permanently."

Speaking deeply to Thadston, Zolis says, "It seems to spread, like tonight, when you arrive."

Cryheart says, "Aye, it gives me the itchies just looking at it."

Thadston peers quizzically at Darcena.

Thadston asks, "Nothing else?"

Thadston says, "Thought so."

Speaking to Thadston, Darcena says, "You certainly put me precisely into my place."

Darcena rolls her eyes.

Lylia says, "Presuming she would need a statue to effect such changes. I am not at all certain, but I shall acquiesce to others' wishes until a suitable replacement can be fashioned from mithril or silver."

Thadston says, "Doubtful."

Speaking heartily to Darcena, Dwi says, "Cookie."

Lylia reluctantly says, "Bronze might also do."

Thadston says, "But I won't have my hand bit twice."

Avalera asks, "Getting to the point is a good idea. Is there anything that we can do to help?"

Speaking to Lylia, Eledryn says, "As far as I can tell, the worst of this blight began when the statue showed up. Related or not, I don't know if it is worth chancing it and it certainly isn't doing us any favors."

Lylia says, "In other words, it cannot hurt and might help. Yes, you get no argument from me."

Speaking to Lylia, Evia says, "I imagined you a black marble kind of girl."

Lylia says, "I am too fair for that, unless it were worked in alabaster too."

Aid

Thadston says, "I've spoken with Breshon and he's having aid brought in from Bourth."

Ysharra asks, "An aid?"

Goldstr says, "Ahhhh."

Madmountan says, "Oooh, maybe we can eat more burned meats with him."

Thadston says, "It's our hope some of the supplies survive long enough in this area, but much of it is simply to help keep people comfortable, especially those affected by the rot."

Thadston says, "While it's over two dozen now, we expect it'll grow before we can end this."

Kipara hoarsely asks, "So if this statue is suspected as a cause to our blight, why don't some of you wealthy adventurerers have it tied to your steeds and dragged away?"

Kipara hoarsely asks, "Is it too firmly planted?"

Avalera says, "That's good to hear. I'm sure I speak for many here when I say we are ready to do what is needed to aid in receiving and helping to store supplies."

Evia says, "That will help keep comfortable the bellies, but not the spirits overall I am afraid."

Lyrna asks, "I don't believe it's seen as a cause, but perhaps more of a ... focus?"

Speaking softly to Thadston, Balley asks, "Any ideas on what she wants or if she will actually appear in person? Or do you think she will just hide behind others?"

Lylia says, "This is in addition to the supplies from the port. As you are no doubt aware, I have also sent some of the most...enthusiastically quarrelsome dock-workers and fishers to work along the roads to Icemule Trace to free it of banditry."

Kipara hoarsely says, "Cause or focus, the point stands."

Thadston nods at Lylia.

Thadston says, "Yes, in addition."

Speaking to Kipara, Leafiara says, "Partly because it's even heavier than it looks, partly because it would be a good way to get arrested since adventurers don't have the authority for that."

Speaking frankly to Kipara, Leafiara admits, "But I am surprised the Rooks didn't try anything."

Roblar deeply says, "Jus smash it."

Lyrna says, "Also... I think it's been tried."

Roblar deeply says, "Da small pieces seem to do no harm."

Evia says, "I do hope the coffers are large enough to accomodate the restless displaced workers."

Speaking hoarsely to Roblar, Kipara says, "I'll leave that to your steady hand, Roblar."

Roblar flags down a nearby urchin and exchanges a few words. The urchin nods to Roblar, scurries off, and returns in a few moments with a plainly wrapped package that he hands to Roblar.

Roblar just opened a plainly wrapped package.

Roblar removes a massive glaes club from in his plainly wrapped package.

Roblar deeply exclaims, "Am rady!"

Speaking hoarsely to Roblar, Kipara says, "I would trust only you with such a feat."

Roblar glances sternly at a polished bleakstone statue.

Lylia replies, "It is coming from my own coffers."

Roblar leans on his club, taking a momentary rest.

Quarantine

Thadston says, "We may need to soon discuss the idea of quarantine."

Speaking to Lylia, Evia says, "Quite noble."

Mongonator says, "Start swinin."

Shinann says, "I do agree that statue should be gone. I do not agree with it being replaced in any form or fashion. It would just be a painful reminder."

Thadston says, "But truthfully, it may be beyond that now. We'll see."

Speaking heartily to Eledryn, Dwi asks, "So..more cookies eh?"

Speaking to Shinann, Eledryn asks, "A monument to those who have fallen, perhaps?"

Speaking huskily to Lyrna, Jhenni asks, "Are they really gonna draw and quarter a statue?"

Lyrna says, "Quarantining of what? Or who? Any of those..."

Speaking to Thadston, Evia asks, "Quarantine, in what manner would that be done?"

Lyrna grins at Jhenni.

Kipara hoarsely says, "Quarantine sounds rather useless when the cause is not clear. There is clearly more at play here than a communicable disease."

Speaking to Thadston, Lylia says, "Burning would also be wise. I would recommend somewhere far enough from the town that the pall of smoke carries out to the bay, not toward the gates."

Speaking to Eledryn, Shinann says, "No."

Lyrna says, "Something like that."

Lyrna smiles at Jhenni.

Thadston shrugs at Evia.

Mongonator says, "All the infected ladies, come with me."

Speaking hoarsely to Mongonator, Kipara says, "I'll keep my infection and your infection separate, thanks."

Thadston says, "We've recorded nearly two dozen townspeople showing signs of the rot that killed two of our militia members."

Ysharra says, "We have to go far afield to find game and food for the Landing."

Speaking huskily to Mongonator, Jhenni says, "Weirdest pickup line ever."

Speaking heartily to Mongonator, Dwi says, "Thought ye was leafin."

Darcena mouths, "Our."

Thadston asks, "Are they not?"

Thadston peers quizzically at Darcena.

Evia says, "The blood and slime, rot and malaise of it all has been spread all over the town and beyond already, including on all of us, and all over everything around us."

Speaking to Thadston, Darcena says, "You sure spend a lot of attention on someone you think so far below you."

Thadston says, "I'm considering isolating them, for whatever good it will do."

Speaking to Lylia, Shinann says, "I would suggest."

Shinann nods at Thadston.

Shinann says, "That."

Shinann says, "Possibly."

Lyrna asks, "How does the rot differ from these odd symptoms of plague? That we've been sporadically experiencing?"

Kipara hoarsely says, "I have spent most of my time in Sol Haven lately. I find it difficult to believe that quarantine would help, when I am infected, but no one from Sol Haven has been infected."

Speaking to Evia, Ysharra says, "We don't even know how it spreads."

Shinann says, "Sorry... he said what I was going to say."

Thadston says, "I'll speak to the Captains about it further, and the Mayor here shortly."

Speaking deeply to Thadston, Roblar asks, "Did dey get better da further out from town and maybe dis dey got?"

Speaking to Ysharra, Lylia says, "So far, the dry goods that have arrived by the port are relatively untouched, but this may be due to smaller and more frequent shipments. I am reluctant to store them in our own granaries, lest the blight infest those stores too."

Thadston says, "You're not below me."

Thadston nods at Darcena.

Speaking to Evia, Ysharra says, "All we know is that it's moved from fish to crops and to wildlife and people. There's only one thing that can do that."

Darcena says, "Certainly not."

Dwi heartily asks, "Wotsa quarter teen?"

Mongonator asks, "5 or so?"

Kipara hoarsely says, "But I'll meditate in a cellar for a fortnite if it eases your frantic nerves."

Lylia says, "Quarantine is always a wise measure. As is cleanliness."

Kipara hoarsely says, "That is if you're not dead by then."

Lylia adds, "And not touching."

Speaking to Lylia, Evia says, "Not to mention the emergency stores in Moot Hall, and in House Phoenix remain, and are also unprotected from contamination."

Speaking to Lylia, Eledryn says, "Unless the ensuing panic over it causes even greater problems."

Dwi heartily says, "Dis is a slur on boy dwarfs."

Gutstorm says, "Hey im a boy dorf."

Thadston whispers something to Falvicar. [presumably a whisper exchange]

Dergoatean asks, "Is there any negative side effect of mass consumption of manna bread?"

Lylia coldly asks, "Whatever gave you the idea the stores were unprotected? And what do you think I am able to do about a public panic that I have not already done?"

Shallimar deeply asks, "Wut did ah miss?"

Speaking hoarsely to Dergoatean, Kipara says, "Too much power."

Dergoatean says, "I figure our local empaths and clerics could feed an awful lot of people."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Darcena says, "Not that I've noticed. I've eaten a lot here and there."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Wolfloner says, "We can hope."

Thadston winces, touching his side.

Speaking to Lylia, Evia asks, "Excuse me?"

Darcena says, "It's not incredibly sustaining, unfortunately."

Lylia says, "We all know the ultimate cause. We all know what we must do. If any of you lack the stomach..."

Darcena says, "And presumably the spirits would struggle at some point with procurement."

Coffin Plan

Thadston asks, "How's that glass coffin request coming Magister?"

Thadston peers quizzically at Raelee.

Speaking to Thadston, Raelee states, "The request has been made."

Thadston asks, "...and?"

Thadston asks, "When can I expect it?"

Kipara hoarsely asks, "And the mirrors inside?"

Speaking to Thadston, Raelee says, "There is no and, not yet."

Ysharra says, "If it's something that spreads from plants to animals and to people, I don't think a quarantine will do much, honestly."

Thadston nods at Ysharra.

Thadston says, "Agreed. It's likely isolation may not do anything. But doing nothing is also a fool's errand."

Speaking to Lylia, Evia says, "What "gave me the idea" they are unprotected, is that they are in wooden crates...unprotected from possible contamination."

Speaking to Thadston, Soneiken asks, "Everything you have spoke about is tactics aiming at stemming the tide, perhaps we should also look at an eventual cure to this blight, as there's no saying even the witch is dead, that the sick land and people of the landing will get better?"

Thadston says, "Well, nudge whoever in blue you need to please."

Thadston nods at Raelee.

Speaking heartily to Soneiken, Dwi asks, "Dey still talkin bout dem bugs?"

Thadston asks, "Also, Dennet's notes and work?"

Thadston peers quizzically at Raelee.

Speaking evenly to Thadston, Raelee says, "I will see what I can do about the coffin."

Speaking to Thadston, Raelee asks, "And what about them?"

Mongonator attempts to feed a hammer shaped sugar cookie to a bright-eyed darkly clouded kitten with elongated tufty ears and a spiked veil iron collar.

Speaking heartily to Mongonator, Dwi says, "Not fer kitty."

Thadston says, "I'd like to see them, as we discussed months ago."

Thadston nods at Raelee.

Speaking to Thadston, Raelee says, "And as we discussed months ago, you were going to come see me and we were going to discuss it."

Speaking pointedly to Thadston, Raelee says, "You never did."

Speaking heartily to Chamorr, Dwi says, "Outta cookies."

Thadston says, "Then we'll do such."

Mongonator offers Dwi a hammer shaped sugar cookie.

Dwi accepts Mongonator's shaped sugar cookie.

Mongonator says, "2 bites missin."

Speaking heartily to Chamorr, Dwi says, "Mite taste a lil like kitten...."

Thadston says, "Please escalate that request for a bane coffin."

Speaking to Thadston, Raelee says, "... very well."

Thadston says, "One more thing you mentioned..."

Thadston glances at Darcena.

Mongonator says, "Lord knows where that kitten was licking."

Speaking heartily to Mongonator, Dwi says, "He ate it."

Madmountan says, "Might wanna make it two. Never know if we might have to store a moth in one."

Thadston asks, "I hide stuff? Precisely what am I hiding?"

Darcena stares at Thadston.

Lylia says, "The purpose of the coffin is not 'hidden,' but neither is it clear. I do not see the reason for that."

Speaking heartily to Thadston, Chamorr says, "The salami."

Thadston asks, "You do not see a reason for it?"

Darcena dryly says, "Perhaps we can have a long discussion over tea and bread tomorrow afternoon."

Thadston peers quizzically at Lylia.

Lylia says, "It is not as though Raznel herself is likely to be surprised at any of this."

Lylia asks, "Do you believe she would be?"

Lylia says, "I can think of a few possibilities."

Dergoatean asks, "Thadston's not just getting a present for Crux?"

Speaking to Dergoatean, Lylia says, "Unlikely."

Speaking to Dergoatean, Leafiara speculates, "Maybe it's for Hap."

Thadston says, "The coffin is not for Raznel. I have no intention of bottling her on a shelf. I have every intenton of ending her, one paragon at a time until we do."

Mongonator says, "Hey I spotted a disguised kobold."

Speaking heartily to Mongonator, Dwi says, "Did not."

Darcena asks, "Someone remind me - how are we tracking down these paragons?"

Lylia says, "Excellent. We are in full agreement on that, then. And on the statue. How good that we could reach a public accord on these matters."

Apology

Thadston says, "I need to speak with the Captains and Mayor for a few brief moments."

Madmountan says, "I'm sure it's much more likely that he would want to bottle Disean or something."

Balley softly asks, "Do you know who the paragons are?"

Mongonator asks, "Didn't Pylasar he knew dems?"

Shinann joins Thadston's group.

Speaking to Darcena, Leafiara says, "Potentially with the help of Chrysamber Epoch... a chronomage."

Speaking to Leafiara, Eledryn asks, "How has Hapenlok been? I've seen that his self-inflicted convulsions were gone, is he no longer troubled over the control of his own body?"

Lylia says, "Of course."

Stormyrain joins Thadston's group.

Lylia joins Thadston's group.

Darcena says, "That's right."

Darcena nods to Leafiara.

Thadston says, "I..."

Thadston clenches his jaw.

Speaking to Lylia, Ysharra says, "The gold in the stone was never really your color."

Speaking to Ysharra, Lylia says, "I prefer silver."

Speaking to Eledryn, Leafiara admits, "I never know how Hap's doing, honestly. I just assume angry by default."

Thadston looks away for a moment, struggling for words.

Mongonator says, "Wow he is silent, thats a first."

Razanetika softly says, "Something's just not right about him."

Speaking to Leafiara, Eledryn says, "If I was forced to kill friends and allies by my own hand against my will, I imagine I would feel much the same way."

Thadston says, "I know I can come across rude at times. I am..."

Speaking to Eledryn, Leafiara concedes, "Fair."

Thadston says, "I am sorry you feel that way if so."

Speaking heartily to Eledryn, Dwi asks, "Wot if ye used yer feets?"

Darcena says, "You should treat my Captain with more respect."

Darcena says, "She did much to hold this town together."

Ysharra says, "He is under duress. Some of the militia have died from the blight."

Thadston says, "The witch has murdered my wife and wore her face. She has corrupted my only son..."

Darcena says, "And you take it out on others."

Speaking to Darcena, Evia says, "Perhaps civility is in order at this time."

Speaking heartily to Thadston, Chamorr says, "Yer sorry? Where's Thadston, what have ya done wif him."

Madmountan says, "Honestly, if I was walking around with festering taint in my side, and all the other junk he's dealing with, I'd prolly not be very chipper either."

Dwi heartily asks, "Face?"

Darcena says, "Yes, Evia."

Thadston says, "Add that to all of the damage she has done to this town and its people and those present."

Cryheart says, "So ye hae more reason than anyone to end her."

Lylia gently says, "She violated the sanctity of my own flesh. I know. I sympathize. And she shall pay, and pay, and pay."

Thadston says, "No one here is my enemy."

Speaking to Darcena, Evia says, "Or we could be out here indefinitely."

Ysharra says, "We've all had consequences."

Speaking to Lylia, Darcena says, "It's in me, too."

Speaking heartily to Eledryn, Dwi says, "We should prolly gits outta here."

Thadston nods.

Thadston says, "Goodnight."

Lylia quietly says, "We have all felt it. There is one cure."

Dergoatean says, "Good night."

Ysharra says, "Not a good night."

Speaking to Dwi, Eledryn says, "I'm not leaving."

Lord Thadston's group just went north.

Lyrna quietly says, "Goodnight, sir."

Bonus

[The "official" log ended above. Just for fun I edited the below conversation that I had a good time with, though!]

Lyrna says, "I don't really know what to make of that."

Speaking to Falvicar, Ysharra says, "...there are worse things."

Speaking to Lyrna, Darcena says, "I listen."

Speaking quietly to Ysharra, Falvicar says, "Tis an okay night. Not great, but it isn't too bad either given there's no battle."

Speaking to Balley, Zosopage says, "He will not run from a fight, that I am sure of."

Speaking to Madmountan, Darcena asks, "Ready?"

Balley softly says, "Good."

Cryheart says, "Thadston is still agonizing over what Raznel has done to his family. Let's allow him some."

Chamorr heartily asks, "That it?"

Eledryn says, "I still worry about the livelihoods of the common folk."

Ysharra says, "I worry about what they'll be eating in two weeks."

Speaking to Ysharra, Eledryn says, "I do not know what use I could be in an upcoming battle, but I still have hopes that perhaps I can aid on another front."

Cryheart says, "Some allowance for his pain."

Zosopage says, "We'll be out and about for a little bit if needed."

Balley softly says, "Let's go kill things."

Leafiara approvingly says, "Practice makes perfect."

Speaking in Faendryl to Zolis, Ysharra says something you don't understand.

Speaking musingly to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "Don't worry, it surprises everyone else too."

Speaking deeply in Faendryl to Ysharra, Zolis says something you don't understand.

Speaking pleasantly to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "That's the joy of it. Sometimes the frustration, though."

Speaking deeply to Wolfloner, Guarrin says, "Thank you."

Speaking to Zolis, Ysharra says, "I'm glad you're not sick."

Speaking frankly to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "I'll admit, this wasn't one of the more enjoyable conversations I've ever had, watching people bicker over nothing."

Speaking to Leafiara, Eledryn says, "Seems like some people forgot who the enemy we're supposed to be fighting is."

Speaking wonderingly to Eledryn, Leafiara says, "Yeah, I don't understand either."

Lyrna says, "I don't..."

Speaking to Leafiara, Evia says, "I am a bit puzzled why there seems little concern for our little stashes of emergency food. I mention they could do with some sort of protection from this blight or whatever it is, and all I receive is a haughty remark and a cold stare, as If I am a dunce off the turnip farm."

Lyrna says, "I'm not sure I understand much of what happened tonight."

Speaking frankly to Evia, Leafiara says, "People seem to be cracking under the pressure. It's a little disturbing at times."

Speaking to Lyrna, Eledryn says, "Nothing happened, as far as I can tell."

Eledryn says, "Other than... some nasty plague business."

Speaking to Evia, Leafiara adds, "Especially because the ones cracking are the ones usually the most level-headed."

Evia says, "Mm."

Lyrna says, "There was a great deal more ... subtext to much of what was said... than I understand."

Leafiara relents, "Well... it is what it is, I suppose. Anyway, the goal was and is the same: end the witch. We knew it would be an ugly journey."

Speaking to Leafiara, Eledryn says, "What's with the fissure? I do not recall that from before."

Speaking to Eledryn, Leafiara says, "They opened up last week... three of them in total."

Speaking to Eledryn, Leafiara explains, "They can release bursts of mist that drives people mad."

Lyrna says, "The path there is the question."

Eledryn asks, "There's the one north of here, where are the other two?"

Speaking to Eledryn, Leafiara replies, "Town Square Southwest, and outside the barracks."

Leafiara suddenly says, "Speaking of which, I seriously hope Thadston didn't take the captains and the mayor to the barracks."

Ysharra says, "Frankly I'm surprised that's all."

Lyrna peers quizzically at Leafiara.

Roblar deeply says, "Lemme see how it smells."

Speaking to Lyrna, Leafiara explains, "Because of the fissure outside it."

A massive snowy battle-scarred lynx stares hungrily at Ysharra!

Shallimar deeply asks, "So who is this Thadston fella?"

Roblar deeply says, "Foul."

Speaking to Shallimar, Leafiara says, "The interim marshal of the militia."

Speaking to a massive snowy battle-scarred lynx, Ysharra says, "Nothing but bone at this point, you know."

Speaking to Shallimar, Leafiara says, "Though... Thrayzar at least doesn't seem interested in taking back his position even though he's healthy again, so maybe it's more permanent now."

Shallimar deeply says, "Big muckitymuck, got it."

Speaking amusedly to Shallimar, Leafiara says, "Even I don't know these things and I'm -in- the militia. So much for joining to find out what in the world was going on in the organization."

Lyrna says, "It is certainly not the same... degree of organization..."

Lyrna says, "It's a different place."

Speaking to Ysharra, Melikor asks, "Have we had enough for the night?"

Speaking to Melikor, Ysharra says, "I feel hollow."

Chamorr heartily says, "Me too."

Speaking coyly to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "Well, I'm sure the Rooks know what's going on in the militia, but they had just never let me join."

Leafiara flippantly says, "Ah well..."

Lyrna says, "I'm not sure I exactly understand the Rooks, or your fascination with them."

Speaking bemusedly to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "They just seem to know everything that goes on in town. And they look really neat moving around the shadows and on the roofs."

Speaking playfully to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "You know me, I love those who move around the shadows."

Leafiara gives Lyrna a lingering kiss.

Lyrna glances at Leafiara and makes a little purring sound.

Lyrna says, "Well, when you put it that way."

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "Go see Mother."

Speaking to Lyrna, Leafiara concedes, "But... I don't know yet if Mother can live up to Rysus, on a standard of... knowing things. At least she's more peaceful, though, and doesn't attack people out of nowhere for not much reason."

Speaking frankly to Chamorr, Leafiara says, "She's not easy to find."

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "If ya have to ask, you'll never know, if ya knows ya only has to ask."

Lyrna asks, "The murders on the docks weren't out of nowhere for no reason?"

Speaking to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "I don't think they were, no... I think that was--well, her getting rid of the last of the old violent Rooks."

Leafiara flusteredly says, "I know, I know, you're thinking I'm really optimistic."

Lyrna says, "Not exactly what I was thinking."

Speaking to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "I didn't say it earlier because I didn't want to extend the argument, but I do agree with Thadston that the law is very inadequate sometimes."

Lyrna asks, "If part of the problem was that the 'old Rooks' were more violent, how does it make them better to kill those that remained of them?"

Lyrna says, "I mean, maybe it is necessary, but there is an assumption of operating outside the law regardless of the view."

Lyrna says, "As to ... necessity."

Leafiara explains, "It was the way in which they were violent. At times they knew who the enemy of the town was, but instead of attacking directly they launched attacks on innocents around them."

Speaking hoarsely to Leafiara, Kipara says, "The law is never going to be adequate. The rule of law is meant to enforce societal stability in the realm of normal conditions."

Leafiara adds, "Though, like I've said... Rysus' Rooks had their good moments too, like helping in the war against Chaston."

Lyrna asks, "So killing.. murder.. is okay when it is directed toward people you disagree with?"

Speaking hoarsely to Leafiara, Kipara asks, "But this is far from normal, is it?"

Speaking mischievously to Kipara, Leafiara says, "Sure isn't."

Lyrna asks, "Or the law disagrees with?"

Kipara hoarsely says, "Isn't it, rather."

Lyrna asks, "Or your ... gang... disagrees with?"

Speaking deeply to Lyrna, Shallimar asks, "Ain't that like asking if the tolerant are still tolerant if they be intolerant of the intolerant?"

Speaking to Lyrna, Leafiara clarifies, "I'm saying... I don't want to make assumptions about who those dockworkers were."

Lyrna says, "Perhaps."

Speaking to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "Mother did say she'd fought hard to take over the organization. I assume it got bloody down in the Rook tunnels, though... I don't know for sure."

Kipara hoarsely says, "Referring to law makers in general as a gang is a bit divisive."

Speaking to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "In other words, it might not have been an unprovoked attack."

The pungent scent of decomposing flesh wafts into town from the forest beyond.

Kipara hoarsely says, "But I understand your frustration."

Razanetika softly asks, "Is something happening in the forest?"

Speaking to Razanetika, Leafiara says, "Well... just the rot that's been going on a few weeks."

Lyrna says, "Law is often what allows people to come together and work and live together relatively peacefully."

Speaking to Lyrna, Leafiara confesses, "I like the chaos of the Landing, though."

Kipara hoarsely says, "I think the key is to acknowledge the law when it benefits good morality....and to quietly circumvent it in other situations."

Lyrna says, "If the law isn't working sufficiently, perhaps they need changed... but ..."

Speaking thoughtfully to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "Part of me wishes you'd been here when Crux was mayor."

Lyrna says, "I really would like to speak with him one of these days."

Speaking curiously to Lyrna, Leafiara asks, "Crux?"

Kipara hoarsely asks, "Openly decrying the rule of law in this situation specifically would not benefit anyone after this blight is dealth with. The Landing must protect the rights of its citizens, yes?"

Lyrna says, "I asked him if I could speak to him at some point, and he chuckled."

Speaking earnestly to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "He's not all that hard to find most of the time."

Lyrna says, "I'm decrying those that take the law into their own hands."

Leafiara confesses, "I'll be honest, I don't even know what most of the laws are around here. That would take time and reading."

Kipara hoarsely says, "Oh, perhaps I misunderstood then."

Kipara hoarsely says, "My apologies."

Speaking to Leafiara, Madmountan says, "I really don't care what they are."

Speaking approvingly to Madmountan, Leafiara exclaims, "Also good thinking!"

Lyrna says, "And ignore the laws, that feel that they SHOULD circumvent the laws if they're not doing something they want."

Lyrna says, "I do acknowledge that sometimes good can come of unlawful things, and lawful things can be bad. But generally, the purpose of law is to protect the people."

Leafiara idly muses, "Now I'm wondering how different this situation would look right now if Crux had run again..."

Speaking suddenly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara asks, "Hey, do -you- read up on the laws?"

Speaking to Lyrna, Soneiken says, "Also helps us to remain civilized."

Kipara hoarsely says, "That is true, I suppose what I am speaking of only applies to those that have the best sense of moral good, which most people do not."

Speaking dubiously to Chaoswynd, Leafiara says, "You sure seem like someone who would know what they are."

Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd says, "Not generally, no. I've never had to worry about it."

Speaking wonderingly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara asks, "Are there any I'd be likely to break that I don't know about? So you can give fair warning?"

Speaking surprisedly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara says, "Oh."

Leafiara nonchalantly says, "Okay then."

Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd suggests, "Conspiracy to subvert the local magistrate?"

Speaking flatly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara says, "Trust me, I'd never subvert Raelee."

Chaoswynd can offer Leafiara only a blank expression.

Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd says, "Magistrate, not Magister."

Speaking perplexedly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara asks, "What's the difference?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd says, "Magistrate would be the local governing body."

Speaking surprisedly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara asks, "Wait, what? That's illegal?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd asks, "Yes?"

Speaking dubiously to Chaoswynd, Leafiara says, "But I do that literally all the time and I've never gotten in trouble."

Speaking confusedly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara asks, "Wouldn't that make running for mayor illegal?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd says, "I'm sure there's also a safety restriction on how fast one is allowed to run down the streets."

Lyrna says, "Someday, there could be some degree of civilization here."

Speaking defiantly to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "Never."

Speaking to Chaoswynd, Soneiken says, "Actually the difference is, one does the judging, and da other gets Judged."

Speaking to Chaoswynd, Leafiara exclaims, "I break that one all the time too!"

Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd asks, "Wouldn't what make running for mayor illegal?"

Speaking to Chaoswynd, Leafiara asks, "Is the law -that- impotent?"

Soneiken says, "Dat was gnomish joke."

Lyrna says, "Depends on the law."

Speaking to Chaoswynd, Leafiara asks, "Subverting the magister--ate?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd says, "Yes, clearly it's impotent, since you break it all the time."

Leafiara glances at Chaoswynd and breaks into a cheeky grin.

Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd says, "The Landing is a mostly democratic governing body. Officials are elected by the people, for the people. Therefore, no, running for mayor would not be breaking that law."

Speaking confusedly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara says, "The town council and judge aren't elected."

Lyrna mildly says, "He did say 'mostly'."

Speaking to Leafiara, Soneiken says, "Not by us."

Leafiara says, "And let me tell you, at times I think Renpaw will live forever. That guy looks great for his age."

Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd says, "In a manner of speaking, they are. They make public speeches, in the hope of garnering the good will of the populace, which in turn influences the choice of the sitting mayor."

Speaking frankly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara says, "That's really convoluted."

Lyrna says, "Politics is much simpler at the level that I was at in Ta'Vaalor."

Leafiara musingly says, "We should just put people in power if they can win Helden Hall duels."

Speaking to Lyrna, Chaoswynd says, "Because Vaalor is largely an authoritarian state."

Lyrna says, "Although I understand that when you get to the top, there gets to be quite a bit more to it."

Soneiken beams happily at Leafiara!

Soneiken exclaims, "I win!"

Speaking to Soneiken, Leafiara says, "Well, I mean, they'd have to be citizens too... can't have Roblar getting political power here."

Leafiara adds, "He needs to become king of Icemule."

Speaking to Leafiara, Chaoswynd asks, "Why would he want that? Do you honestly think that man wants responsibility and demands upon his time?"

Lyrna asks, "King of Icemule?"

Speaking dubiously to Chaoswynd, Leafiara asks, "Responsibility?"

Speaking sagely to Chaoswynd, Leafiara says, "Kings have servants for that."

Soneiken says, "He hates when I use my dispel in dat arena, goes immediately fer that giant weapon of his, looking fer my neck."

Speaking musingly to Chaoswynd, Leafiara says, "Though I guess he'd hate having soldiers under him instead of going to the front of the battlefield himself, so you have a point."

Leafiara suddenly says, "I'd hate that too."

Lyrna says, "I fought next to King Qalinor once."

Speaking surprisedly to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "So he has a good side, huh."

Lyrna says, "He led the charge against some of the forces that were attacking when..."

Lyrna says, "Back before..."

Lyrna says, "He told me he would try to be worthy of the honor we gave him."

Lyrna says, "He is a warrior. And a flirt."

Speaking surprisedly to Lyrna, Leafiara blurts, "Wait, what!"

Lyrna asks, "What?"

Kipara hoarsely says, "Warriors and rogues aren't so different in that respect."

Jhenni mutters mensheeesh.

Speaking tentatively to Lyrna, Leafiara says, "He didn't try to flirt with me when I won at the Festival of the Fallen."

Lyrna says, "The Kings are chosen from the nobility and the highest ranked officers, but it is not a purely inherited position."

Lyrna asks, "Have you been to any of the balls?"

Kipara hoarsely says, "Maybe you're not his type."

Leafiara thoughtfully says, "Then again, Cay says I'm terrible at recognizing when people are flirting, so maybe he did..."

Speaking soberly to Kipara, Leafiara says, "Oh, true. Half-sylvan and all."

Lyrna says, "I've seen him dance with halfelves."
