Summary

 • A militiaman brings word that Marshal Thadston has moved Disean and will send the location to Captains Stormyrain and Shinann by tomorrow. Furthermore, Casiphia is healing from wounds caused by the kroderine gauntlets and expected to recover within a week. Breshon had also mentioned that Larsya has been moved away from the outpost in light of recent events and is safe. Meanwhile, the Landing militia is preparing for town defense tomorrow while others are away to hunt down Harland the Bastard.
 • Three other militiamen escort in a chained man with a sack over his head, who's not resisting. They describe it as "a situation" that makes no sense, then pull off the sack to reveal... Walkar Wellington! While some of the crowd had never seen him before, others including Stormy are taken aback with shock--but she eventually recollects herself and orders the militiamen not to unchain him. Suspicions grow as people ask if it's a shapeshifter, Raznel, a projection from a paragon, or something else entirely.
 • Walkar claims he would have let those who loved him be at peace, so Chamorr asks why now. He says the witch found them and took Kiske, his wife, and that he'd been away because his death was the only way for them to have a future. He asks for help finding Kiske. Berkana doesn't recall Kiske marrying Walkar and Stormy says it didn't happen, so Leafi offers the theory of a paragon who has Pylasar's memories of an alternate timeline.
 • As Zosopage tries to confirm with Radeek whether the body was recognizable when buried, Chamorr suggests digging up Walkar's grave. Walkar says they'll find no bones and they only buried a memory of a hero, but he did what he did because he and Kiske couldn't have a normal life otherwise. Stormy insists Walkar didn't marry Kiske, but he says it was after they were reunited.
 • Maylan proposes letting Walkar's bloodhound Winston see him, backed up by Berkana, Kethrain, Shinann, Radeek, Chamor, and Goldstr, but Walkar says he can't do that to him and hurt him again. Mayor Lylia raises the possibility that he's something like Brumas.
 • Stormy asks when he reunited with Kiske and Walkar says she took her last steps in the Landing back in Lormesta 5119. They'd met on a few occasions after his departure, but she finally left to be with him fully then. Kethrain presses about where they've been, but he says he can't disclose and that after everyone rescues Kiske, they'll relocate into another hiding place.
 • Walkar says he'd do anything to save Kiske, so he's here shouldering the distrust, accusations, and suspicion--and he doesn't blame anyone, nor does ending Raznel and saving Kiske require anyone to believe him at all. Radeek is hesitant to trust Walkar, though the latter recounts Radeek's heroics against Taladorians. As Umbazi says Walkar could just be a puppet of the witch, he acknowledges being thankful they're questioning him, as he remembers when people jumped to follow anyone coming to town--including slaughtering Thrayzar's tribe because of the trickery of one of Elithian Cross' minions.
 • Shinann asks if Walkar's sister Abygail knows he's alive and he says she doesn't, saying they have a strange relationship and he protected her, but is a painful reminder of the loss of their mother and the curse of their father.
 • Xorus says that the Wizardwaste is known for doppelgangers with the memories of the dead, so perhaps Walkar is a creation of the similar Bleaklands.
 • Stormy agrees to the earlier plan of digging up the grave. Before that, though, the militiamen ask what to do with Walkar; after an extended discussion, the group finally settles on the Brass Tower.
 • The group heads to Walkar's grave, a militiaman brings shovels, and everyone gets to work digging up the coffin. After they reach down to it, Maylan props it open with her pegleg to reveal... nothing. The crowd debates whether that means anything or nothing.
 • Meanwhile, Winston's howl is heard. The group heads for the trophy room and he whimpers as he sniffs at everyone and then starts to look at faces with almost sparkling eyes. But soon he sighs and lowers to the floor. The group contemplate taking him to the tower, but he seems too sleepy, so everyone leaves it be for later.

Log

Organizing

[Town Square Central]

This is the heart of the main square of Wehnimer's Landing. The impromptu shops of the bazaar are clustered around this central gathering place, where townsfolk, travellers, and adventurers meet to talk, conspire or raise expeditions to the far-flung reaches of Elanith. At the north end, an old well, with moss-covered stones and a craggy roof, is shaded from the moonlight by a strong, robust tree. The oak is tall and straight, and it is apparent that the roots run deep. You also see an herbal remedy donation bin and some stone benches with some stuff on it.

Also here: Mayor Lylia, Chaoswynd, Draden, Mozek, Zosopage, Dwi, Great Lord Gutstorm, Razanetika, Gorebaug who is sitting, Isterio, Lazaryth, Shinann, Guarrin, Lord Shyloche who is sitting, Sir Cryheart, Silvynn, Ifil who is sitting, Kethrain, Berost, Othael, Lady Alisette, Lord Oldale, Lady Hithyr who is sitting, Stormyrain, Event Planner Leafiara, Lord Chamorr, Zaxabar

The sky is filled with a blanket of low clouds, pale and unmoving. Sounds seem muffled and the air feels thick and takes on a quiet stillness.

Cryheart says, "Da sky."

Pukk recites:

"Everybody join Cryheart"

>join cry

Cryheart is already a member of Lylia's group.

Guarrin deeply mutters, "Least it's not literal bloody snow."

Speaking to Guarrin, Stormyrain says, "..yet."

Pukk exclaims, "Well Lylia!"

Dwi recites heartily:

"Always lissen to Misser Pukk!"

Guarrin deeply adds, "Yet."

Razanetika softly says, "You all need to make up your minds."

>join lyl

You join Lylia.

>group

Lylia is the leader of your group.

>join cry

You leave Lylia's group.

You join Cryheart.

Pukk yells, "Everybody join Cryheart who is in Lylia!"

Speaking perplexedly to Pukk, Leafiara exclaims, "Who do we join! They keep moving!"

Pukk yells, "Everybody join Cryheart who is in Lylia's group!"

Zosopage recites:

"Join Lylheart!"

Speaking to Cryheart, Lylia says, "I suppose I should stand near you in self-defense."

Pukk yells, "Ignore those last orders....Join Cryheart!"

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi asks, "Let's foller em?"

Shyloche says, "Remember me, I'm the one who has your baby....."

Speaking to Maylan, Lazaryth asks, "Can I get you anything?"

Speaking to Cryheart, Maylan says, "I'm not a pirate."

Zosopage says, "Lylheart or Crylia."

Speaking to Lazaryth, Maylan says, "Get this tin can a proper understanding of what a Land Pirate is."

Speaking to Maylan, Lazaryth says, "I'll do my best."

Speaking heartily to Maylan, Dwi says, "Ye know it's notta thing."

Pukk says, "Lyliheart."

The coppery barn owl carefully picks up some ripped scarlet shoes with one of his clawed feet.

Speaking to Maylan, Lazaryth asks, "..what is a Land Pirate?"

Speaking lightly to Zosopage, Lylia says, "Keep that up, and people will talk."

Speaking to Dwi, Maylan says, "Of course it's a thing."

Speaking to Lazaryth, Maylan explains, "A Land Pirate is a Maylan."

Cryheart asks, "Like those scarlet shoes, Owly?"

Speaking to Lazaryth, Kethrain says, "Well.. offically it's what some call a Gypsie."

Speaking heartily to Lazaryth, Dwi says, "It's HER thing."

Dwi heartily says, "Dat's all."

Speaking decisively to Cryheart, Lazaryth says, "A land pirate is a Maylan."

Speaking to Cryheart, Lazaryth says, "So I hear."

Speaking to Maylan, Lazaryth asks, "How was that?"

Cryheart says, "Aye."

Cryheart says, "She is earthbound it seems."

Pukk says, "Lyliheart, the story of a warrior that fell in love with a ruthless domineering mayor..."

Speaking to Lazaryth, Maylan says, "Perfect."

Pukk says, "And Owlie, the voice...well...the hoot of reason."

Lylia admits, "Ruthless and domineering? I appreciate the characterization."

Dwi heartily exclaims, "I kin make Misser Pukk be quiet fer ten minoots...all's it'll cost ye is ten silbers each!"

Gutstorm shares some coins with his group.

Gutstorm hands you 2 silvers.

Speaking to Gutstorm, Maylan exclaims, "Oh boy!"

(OOC) Gutstorm's player whispers to the group, "Thats my 2 csense."

Disean and Casiphia

A uniformed Wehnimer's militia messenger can be seen walking through town, heading towards the outside of Moot Hall.

Cryheart says, "Moving."

[Town Square, East]

Here in the center of a broad plaza near the commercial area of the bazaar stands the impressive facade of the slate-roofed Moot Hall, where the citizens of Wehnimer's Landing hold various official, religious and social functions. Facing the square are some of the town's more prosperous shops, still doing business with the many customers who still frequent the streets at night. You also see a large purple wooden barrel and a polished bleakstone statue.

Speaking to Dwi, Pukk says, "If the pull is a lot, we split the loot."

Speaking to Xorus, Lylia says, "I was just wondering why you called this meeting..."

Speaking heartily to Pukk, Dwi says, "Oh ye missed it..."

Xorus says, "I was waiting for you all to get here."

Dwi heartily says, "He's stunned."

Pukk recites:

"Join Cryheart!"

Speaking to Maylan, Lazaryth says, "I know you and I will make mischief again someday. For now, I just want to make sure you.. stay lubricated."

Speaking to Lazaryth, Maylan says, "Aye, a healthy stout does a body good."

Speaking to Lazaryth, Maylan says, "It's the best of dinners."

A uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman just arrived!

Leafiara amicably says, "Evenin'."

The militiaman snaps in attention and salutes Stormyrain and Shinann.

Speaking heartily to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Chamorr says, "Howdy."

Stormyrain nods in greeting to the Wehnimer's militiaman.

Shinann nods to the Wehnimer's militiaman.

Speaking to Maylan, Lazaryth says, "You never cease to impress with your wisdom."

Pukk snaps smartly to attention!

The militiaman says, "Captains."

Speaking to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Maylan asks, "Is there trouble about? Should I sound the alarm?"

Shinann says, "Evening."

Pukk exclaims, "Wait...I'm not militia!"

Pukk flails his arms about.

The militiaman says, "No trouble spotted yet this evening."

Speaking to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Alisette says, "Hello."

Guarrin deeply mutters, "Yet."

Stormyrain says, "Good to hear."

Speaking to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Maylan whines, "But I should sound the alarm, yes?"

Speaking amusedly to Guarrin, Leafiara says, "He'd never work out." [whoops, thought Guarrin was responding to Pukk and not the militiaman]

Speaking to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Pukk says, "That's what you always say."

Speaking firmly to Maylan, Lylia says, "No."

The militiaman says, "Just reporting to the Captains. Marshal Thadston has securely moved Disean and will be sending you notice of the location by tomorrow evening, Captains."

Stormyrain nods slightly.

Shinann says, "Thank you."

Stormyrain says, "Thank you."

Cryheart says, "Which is good to hear."

Lylia whispers something to Shinann.

The militiaman says, "Casiphia is being watched in the barracks, healing from wounds primarily sustained from the use of the kroderine gauntlets. She's expected to recover, but it'll be a week or so."

Xanthium whispers something to Lylia.

Speaking to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Pukk says, "Thank you, but I'm not a captain....although you should elect Leafi for captaincy."

Leafiara relievedly says, "That's good to hear. She did amazing out there."

Zosopage says, "That's good news."

Speaking offhandedly to Pukk, Leafiara says, "No."

Rasson says, "Thadston carving her did not help I am sure."

Dwi heartily asks, "Dat's da lady who was bein carbed likka ham?"

Lylia whispers something to Xanthium.

Shinann nods to the Wehnimer's militiaman.

Stormyrain says, "As we expected."

The militiaman says, "We've received word from Lord Breshon that Larsya has been moved from the Outpost, given the recent events, and is safe. But that was all that was shared."

Stormyrain nods slowly.

Shinann raises an eyebrow.

Leafiara tentatively says, "Better have been pretty far away or I'm not so sure that was a good idea."

Maylan affectionately says, "Little Lady Larsya, the best of pirates."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "I gave her my rum."

Speaking heartily to Maylan, Dwi asks, "Does dat lil lady gots a boat?"

The militiaman says, "In addition, we're preparing for some defense of the town tomorrow eve, as it is said the next hunt for the paragon will occur. We want to be ready to protect the town just in case."

Speaking to Dwi, Maylan exclaims, "A fearsome sword!"

Stormyrain says, "Excellent."

Speaking drunkenly to Dwi, Gutstorm exclaims, "Rear admiral!"

Shinann says, "Yes, we are aware of that."

Guarrin whispers something to Cryheart.

Othael excitedly says, "Ooh, I love hunting."

The militiaman says, "And I hear that...." He looks off into the distance for a moment.

Speaking deeply to Goldstr, Guarrin greets, "Sir."

Shinann asks, "What?"

The Mysterious Prisoner

Coming around a bend, three other militiamen move further into view, escorting with them a muscular figure with a burlap sack thrown over his head and chains bound around both his arms and ankles. He does not resist as he moves among the militia.

The voice of Kenstrom asks, "What...?"

OOPS?

The militiaman says, "....what?"

Dwi heartily asks, "We haffin an execushun?"

Shinann asks, "You hear that... what? And, who is that?"

A uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman just arrived!

A uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman just arrived!

A uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman just arrived!

Leafiara curiously says, "The orc? Would be a bit quick if..."

Stormyrain murmurs, "Is that Thrayzar?"

Shinann says, "We have not been informed."

Cryheart says, "Good question."

Lylia distantly says, "No, the Town Council has not yet approved the resolution restoring public executions as of --"

Speaking to Lazaryth, Maylan says, "All these militiamen, surely trouble is afoot."

Dannore says, "Now things get interesting."

Speaking to Lazaryth, Maylan says, "And I don't like the looks of that burly fella."

Maylan proclaims, "Ahm gonna sound the alarm!"

The three militiaman arrive, surrounding the muscular figure with a burlap sack over his head.

Cryheart says, "We had enough executions during Barnom Slim's term."

Dwi heartily says, "My foot's been troublin me since I gots dese boost."

High above Wehnimer's Landing a burst of fiery-orange light erupts in the sky, radiating outward and shining with intensity. The searing glow lingers in the air for a few moments before fading away. Suddenly militiamen take to the streets, rushing off in different directions as orders are shouted out amongst them.

Xanthium asks, "...what's this one done?"

Berkana says, "He's gonna escape..."

One of the militiaman says, "Captains, we have...well...a situation."

Berkana says, "Mark my words..."

Speaking to Maylan, Lylia asks, "Feel better now?"

Kethrain exclaims, "Here we go!"

Stormyrain asks, "What situation?"

Pukk says, "Oh just a situation....I thought it would be bad."

One of the militiaman says, "He didn't resist or fight. But we chained him and brought him here because it ain't make no sense."

Stormyrain raises her eyebrow, the dark bloodjewel half-ring set within only enhancing her skeptical expression.

Zosopage says, "So he allowed himself to be caught."

Zosopage says, "Not necessarily good."

Shinann asks, "Who is under there?"

Cryheart says, "Sounds like it."

Speaking to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Kethrain says, "Well ya better start cause yer captains dun look none to happy with ya."

Leafiara ventures, "Or he's not conscious enough to be aware he was being captured?"

Dwi heartily says, "Gotta bag onna his head...Imma always aware o' dat."

Speaking lightly to Dwi, Leafiara says, "That's why it's so odd."

The militaman reaches up and pulls away the burlap sack. Beneath it the prisoner stares out, his sharp clover green eyes squinting briefly before surveying the crowd. Snow from the sky falls lightly to crown his shaven head of strawberry blonde hair and matching goatee....Walkar Wellington offers a thin smile.

Berkana says, "Huh."

You see Walkar Wellington.

He appears to be a Human.

He is tall. He appears to be mature. He has sharp clover green eyes and tanned skin. He has short, shaven head of strawberry blonde hair. He has a muscular face, a small nose and a trimmed strawberry blonde beard.

He is in good shape.

He is wearing a pale blue samite shirt, a fitted grey leather coat, some old black gauntlets, a lacquered oak wedding band, a wide mesh axe harness, a pair of black leather trousers, and some padded black leather boots.

Leafiara curiously asks, "And who's this?"

Cryheart says, "Wait."

Chamorr heartily says, "Good grief."

Stormyrain whispers aloud, "What madness is this."

Dannore says, "It's WW."

Kethrain asks, "Ok what in the Rift is going?"

Walkar says, "You have questions."

Alasatia slowly says, "Alright then."

Goldstr exclaims, "Canna be!"

Cryheart says, "Maybe not."

Speaking to Leafiara, Pukk asks, "Who is that?"

Felita asks, "Oo who be this?"

Speaking in Faendryl, Xanthium says something you don't understand.

Shinann says, "I do not know."

Speaking offhandedly to Pukk, Leafiara says, "Never seen him myself either."

Speaking heartily to Walkar, Chamorr says, "How many times we gotta bury you."

The militiaman look at Walkar, some in disbelief still, some amazed, all of them equally speechless.

Speaking to Lylia, Berkana says, "Maybe he wants his job back."

Cryheart says, "Someone could be disguised as him."

Stormyrain stammers, "W-what madness is this?"

Cryheart asks, "Raznel?"

Speaking confusedly to Stormyrain, Leafiara asks, "Who is it?" [heh, nope, Dannore saying "It's WW" isn't good enough for Leafi to recognize this person]

Speaking in Faendryl to Xanthium, Xorus says something you don't understand.

Razanetika softly asks, "WHO is this person?"

Alasatia whispers something to Leafiara.

Bernadette softly asks, "Wellington as in House?"

Rainedrop quietly says, "He's married."

Speaking to Xorus, Xanthium asks, "That's...not unusual around here, is it?"

Leafiara abruptly says, "Wait, what." [because Alasatia whispered who it was]

Goldstr says, "Da witch's doins."

Speaking to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Stormyrain barks, "Don't you dare unchain this...person!"

Alasatia says, "Yep."

Speaking to Razanetika, Maylan says, "The uh..."

Lylia explains, "Wellington, as in Walkar, as in the former mayor and erstwhile abomination."

Cryheart says, "I am highly suspicious."

Othael responds, "Shapeling?"

Bernadette softly says, "Ahh."

Speaking to Xanthium, Xorus says, "He's very dead."

Pukk says, "Now all of a sudden, I want to see him unchained."

Leafiara wryly says, "Isn't it just Raznel? You all have told me over and over that you were sure there was no coming back from the way Walkar died."

Speaking to Razanetika, Maylan asks, "Well, he looks a lot like the former Mayor. But that fella is dead?"

Dwi heartily asks, "I thought dat was Crux?"

Speaking softly to Maylan, Razanetika says, "Intriguing..."

Guarrin whispers something to Cryheart.

Speaking dryly to Maylan, Lazaryth says, "Thank you, somehow you're the most helpful person here tonight."

Shinann says, "I have seen his grave... this does not make sense."

Leafiara offers, "Or this could be a projection of the final paragon."

Lylia says, "There are abominations and Abominations. I shall leave it as an exercise for historians to decide which is which."

The militiaman looks at Stormyrain. "Do not unchain him?"

Speaking to Lazaryth, Maylan says, "It's on account of the alarm."

Cryheart whispers something to Guarrin.

Xorus says, "Bodies did spill out of that cemetery some months back."

Stormyrain says, "DO. NOT."

Chamorr heartily says, "This could be Raznel in a Walkar suit."

Walkar nods to the Wehnimer's militiaman.

Lylia muses, "Every illusion has its lie..."

Walkar says, "It is okay. Obey your Captain."

Maylan suggests, "Someone get Winston. See if the hound recognizes him to be friend or foe!"

Dwi heartily says, "Aint as scarey assa Chamorr inna leisure suit."

Speaking to Walkar, Stormyrain growls, "You have no power here, of course they will obey their Captains."

Speaking thoughtfully to Maylan, Leafiara asks, "To the trophy room then?"

Zosopage says, "That would be a good disguise. Even down to the wedding band."

Speaking to Maylan, Othael says, "Last I saw, he was with me in Thrak's."

Cryheart whispers something to Radeek.

Speaking to Stormyrain, Maylan asks, "It's worth a try?"

A Well-Timed Return

Walkar says, "I never would have come here. I would have left well enough alone and let those who loved me be at peace."

Speaking heartily to Walkar, Chamorr asks, "Why now?"

Xorus whispers something to Lylia.

Cryheart asks, "Are ye the real Walkar?"

Kethrain says, "I don't buy it not for a dollar even."

Speaking to Walkar, Stormyrain hisses, "No. Who are you. We all saw Walkar Wellington die, and put him to rest ourselves."

Walkar nods at Chamorr.

Walkar says, "Why now is a good question Chamorr."

Speaking hesitantly to Walkar, Alisette asks, "How did you come to be here now?"

Berkana says, "Looks in better condition than he was last time."

Walkar says, "The witch has found us...and she took Kiske."

(OOC) Pukk's player whispers to the group, "If he turns out to be a ranger I'm going to die of laughter."

Zosopage asks, "Pardon my ignorance as I wasn't there but was his body whole or burned?"

Lylia whispers something to Xorus.

Speaking in Faendryl to Lylia, Xanthium asks something you don't understand.

Lazaryth asks, "Us...?"

Leafiara amusedly says, "Right. Nice try."

Berkana asks, "Pardon?"

Stormyrain murmurs, "No."

Razanetika softly asks, "And who is Kiske?"

Speaking in Faendryl, Lylia murmurs something you don't understand.

'Walkar says, "My wife."

Rainedrop quietly asks, "His wife?"

Chamorr heartily asks, "Kiske?"

Stormyrain quietly says, "I see. The Paragon is revealed then."

Rainedrop quietly says, "I saids he was married."

Speaking to Zosopage, Radeek says, "We buried him...so I reckoned anyways."

Walkar says, "My death was the only way for us to have a true future."

Berkana asks, "Wait... Kiske married Walkar? How did I miss that?"

A pus-covered rolton trots in!

Speaking in Faendryl, Othael says something you don't understand.

Stormyrain says, "Not in this world, she did not."

Shinann says, "I do know Kiske..."

Speaking softly to Walkar, Razanetika asks, "Where have you two been all this time then?"

Speaking deeply to Leafiara, Guarrin says, "Don't think anyone guessed Kiske last week."

Speaking to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Maylan asks, "Oh I spose that rolton has a visitor's pass?"

Shadows dance between Lylia's outstretched fingers as she issues a command in archaic Faendryl.

Lylia gestures at a pus-covered rolton.

Lylia stares at a pus-covered rolton.

CS: +540 - TD: +3 + CvA: +25 + d100: +44 == +606

Warding failed!

The pus-covered rolton lets out a blood curdling scream!

The pus-covered rolton collapses to the ground, emits a final bleat, and dies.

Speaking to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Maylan says, "Yer no Sleepy."

Speaking to Radeek, Zosopage says, "Just trying to confirm his body was recognizable when buried."

Leafiara speculates, "Could be the creation of a paragon who somehow got Pylasar's memories of an alternate timeline."

Speaking to herself, Stormyrain growls, "I will kill the Witch myself for this."

Speaking to Zosopage, Radeek says, "It were."

Speaking to Lylia, Berkana says, "That was SO not dinner."

Speaking in Faendryl, Kethrain says something you don't understand.

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk says, "That Rolton was a ambassador for a nearby rolton village that wanted to talk to you....and you killed him."

Speaking in Faendryl, Xanthium says something you don't understand.

Speaking deeply in Faendryl to Kethrain, Zolis says something you don't understand.

Speaking in Faendryl, Xanthium says something you don't understand.

Speaking to Pukk, Othael comments, "Boy, if looks could kill.."

Berkana says, "Some get burned to ash."

Radeek mutters, "Some things is bes' left dead an' buried."

Speaking in Faendryl, Kethrain says something you don't understand.

Chamorr heartily says, "Let's dig up his grave, see who's in it."

Walkar says, "What I know of Raznel, it will not end well....and she made it clear."

Walkar says, "We need to find Kiske...and I need your help."

Shinann says, "I agree with Stormyrain. Leave him chained. This whole thing is off."

Rainedrop quietly says, "Might release somethin bad."

Zosopage says, "Treat him with respect though."

Razanetika softly asks, "What of this Kiske?"

Walkar says, "There will be no bones in the coffin. You buried a memory of a hero. It had to be done. I'm deeply sorry, but if you ever cared for me, you must understand why I did what I did."

Speaking to Walkar, Stormyrain says, "Walkar, you did not marry Kiske in this world."

Razanetika softly asks, "Should we not at least attempt to locate her?"

Kethrain says, "Or.. you are not who you say and want us to find her so it makes your search that much easier for you."

Stormyrain says, "And there are bones in the coffin buried in the cemetary here."

Walkar says, "There was absolutely no way I could have a normal life here, or Kiske."

Speaking wonderingly to Zosopage, Alisette asks, "Do you think it is really him, Dad?"

Dwi heartily asks, "My question is..wot've ye done fer me lately?"

Speaking to Walkar, Berkana says, "You haven't even asked about Winston."

Speaking to Rainedrop, Radeek says, "Walkar Wellington be a'walkin roun da landin an yer worried bouts somethin bad? I reckon bad a'ready be here."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Maylan asks, "Are you sure we shouldn't give him the sniff test?"

Leafiara frankly says, "Even never having met this man, I've heard more than enough about him to know a 'normal life' wasn't what he wanted."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Maylan says, "Winston is a very good boy."

Speaking to Alisette, Zosopage says, "I cannot say. I lived in Icemule at the time but he should still be treated with respect."

Walkar says, "We did marry. Not here. But when we were reunited. As planned."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "I heard winshton got put in a pie."

Rainedrop quietly says, "Or did he."

Walkar indicates a lacquered oak wedding band as a possible option.

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi asks, "No..not dat pie?"

Rainedrop quietly says, "Dead people don't stay dead apparently."

Speaking to Walkar, Stormyrain asks, "I see your wedding band, but tell me--how long after your 'death' was this reunification?"

Walkar says, "I cannot see Winston. No, I cannot let him see me. I can't do that to him. Please."

Leafiara amusedly says, "A likely story."

Speaking skeptically to Walkar, Maylan asks, "And why not?"

Kethrain says, "Yeah I say we do the sniffer test."

Shinann says, "He would know if it were you."

Radeek says, "Git da dawg...reckon he'll know if'n dis be Walkar."

Speaking to Walkar, Maylan accuses, "He would recognize you as friend if you are the true Walkar."

Leafiara condescendingly says, "Could've sworn the witch was at least a little more talented than this."

Walkar says, "He never knew a life without me, and now he has...for years. I cannot take him with me and I cannot hurt him again."

Chamorr heartily says, "Winston would know his ol master."

Rainedrop quietly asks, "Did he say a minago someone took his wife though?"

Speaking to Walkar, Goldstr exclaims, "But Winston may get us to believe you!"

Zosopage says, "Or be pissed at being abandoned."

Guarrin deeply asks, "Why can't you take him?"

Speaking to Rainedrop, Lazaryth says, "He did."

Dwi heartily asks, "Wait...ye folks is gonna take da word o' a pie?"

Speaking to Walkar, Maylan says, "We all have made sacrifices. And Winston, being a very good boy, will also perhaps have to make this sacrifice."

Speaking to Walkar, Stormyrain repeats, "How long after your 'death' was your reunification with Kiske?"

Lylia says, "Let me try to understand this. You, like Brumas, are a sort of...version of yourself, having been made into something unwholesome by Raznel. Raznel, who is masterful at disguises herself."

Speaking to Leafiara, Lazaryth whispers aloud, "Why is Maylan the smartest person in town tonight?"

Speaking heartily to Walkar, Chamorr says, "If Winston is happy to see ya, maybe I believe ya."

Berkana says, "When was the last time anyone saw Winston..."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "I'm telling you, Winshton got baked in a pie, Crux shaid sho himshelf."

Speaking thoughtfully to Lazaryth, Leafiara says, "I have no idea why others are indulging him at all either, but to be fair, I didn't know him when he was alive."

Speaking to Chamorr, Goldstr says, "Aye Bear."

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi says, "Dey always puttin pets inna pies."

Raelee whispers something to Xanthium.

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi says, "Show em yers."

Speaking to Lazaryth, Leafiara suggests, "Maybe they know how to prod better."

Walkar says, "Kiske took her last steps through this town back in Lormesta. Of this year."

Dwi heartily asks, "See?"

Gutstorm shows Walkar his kitten pot pie.

Radeek says, "He were good...den he weren't...den her were ag'in...den he were dead...dats da long an' da short a it."

Dwi heartily says, "Dat's whiskers."

Dwi heartily says, "Or used to be."

Speaking to Leafiara, Lylia says, "I 'indulge' him because it would be poor form to strike an unarmed man dead on the streets until I know why he is here."

Walkar says, "We had met on a few occassions, as safely as we could, a handful of times before then, after my departure."

Rainedrop quietly asks, "She took her last steps? Is she dead now?"

Speaking amusedly to Lylia, Leafiara says, "Never suggested that one."

Walkar says, "No she is not dead. But she has been abducted by the witch, and that is why I am here, going against all I said I would not do."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Firsht winshton, den da bulletin board..."

Speaking to Lylia, Kethrain asks, "Uummm Mayor.... he's already dead.... wouldnt you be doing Lorminstras bidding by releasing this undead back to whence he came?"

Dwi heartily says, "Goin to Lornon inna handbasket."

Walkar says, "When she is safe again, I am gone."

Speaking incredulously to Walkar, Leafiara says, "Right, so missing for ten months and only now you come to tell us. Gotcha."

Speaking to Kethrain, Maylan says, "I doubt he sees it that way."

Walkar says, "I understand you don't believe me, that is okay. I know what me coming here would do."

Zosopage says, "If we discount everything he says and believe only what we want to believe then we are no better. Truth must be found first."

Speaking heartily to Lylia, Chamorr says, "Put da sack back on his head."

Speaking to Walkar, Alisette asks, "Have you any idea where she was taken?"

Walkar says, "...and who it would rattle...and I'm sorry."

Walkar says, "No, she left Wehnimer's at the beginning of this year. To finally be with me fully."

Walkar nods to Leafiara.'

Speaking slowly to Walkar, Leafiara asks, "Alright, let's play along then. She was just taken recently?"

Walkar says, "She was seen here from time to time after my "departure." I know you all have seen her and spoken with her."

Valania asks, "Didn't he die... after burning so many people into an ash?"

Speaking quietly to Walkar, Rainedrop asks, "Be with you where exactly?"

Radeek mutters, "Dat Raznel...danglin da one carrot what'd unite dis town...an' lead us all ta death'n d'struction."

Speaking to Kethrain, Lylia says, "I know someone died. I do not know if it was this man. Given what Raznel can do..."

Walkar glances at Valania.

Rasson asks, "So you are looking for a party to escort you into the Bleaklands to retrieve her?" [OOC note: over the night you'll see that several kinda wound up going with this idea that she was in the Bleaklands since he kept saying it, but technically I don't see anything to imply that; at best you could maybe make the case that

Speaking to Walkar, Kethrain asks, "Ok and where have you two been? What area... if she left Landing to go be with you it would have been on her path to you that she was abducted so... where have you been hiding your ugly head?"

Walkar says, "I am not proud of what I became, for a period of time."

Othael whispers something to Lylia.

Speaking to Walkar, Maylan says, "That's all ancient history. As are you."

Walkar says, "I cannot disclose where I have been. When I find Kiske, we'll return there to gather what we need before we relocate into hiding once more."

Dannore exclaims, "Rough!"

Why Depart

Speaking heartily to Kethrain, Dwi says, "He aint answerin yer question Stumpy."

Guarrin deeply asks, "...return to where Raznel found you before?"

Shinann asks, "You did not even tell your sister?"

Lylia whispers something to Othael.

Speaking to Walkar, Kethrain exclaims, "You want our help yet you keep pertinent information.. you are a fool!"

Speaking to Walkar, Kethrain says, "Nothing has changed with you."

Walkar glances at Kethrain.

Shinann says, "Her I have seen."

Othael whispers something to Lylia.

Walkar says, "Then all the more reason to fear my anger."

Walkar nods at Kethrain.

Walkar says, "I'd mind your tongue."

Speaking to Kethrain, Rasson says, "If it's true, his location has kept him safe this long, why give that up."

Zosopage says, "If nothing has changed then that would be proof it is him."

Speaking to Walkar, Maylan says, "Walkar was a good Mayor, and I remember him fondly. I will pledge my aide to you, IF you pass the sniff test."

Speaking heartily to Walkar, Chamorr says, "Where's yer armor."

Speaking to Ysharra, Alisette says, "He is here, and he lost Kiske to Raznel."

Kethrain asks, "Is that so.... and do you think for one minmute that showing your true colors will get us to help you any faster fool?"

Lylia says, "Good question. You wore some quite distinctive armor, I recall."

Speaking heartily to Walkar, Chamorr says, "Toasted."

Speaking bluntly to Walkar, Leafiara asks, "Not that you're getting the belief of the crowd anyway, but what were you hoping for from revealing yourself?"

Speaking to Raelee, Ysharra says, "Not exactly the term I'd use for Xanthium, but she was insistent, at least."

Speaking to Raelee, Ysharra says, "She takes you seriously, as well she should."

Speaking to Walkar, Goldstr asks, "Yer cursed armor be gone. Why ye threat now?"

Speaking heartily to Walkar, Chamorr says, "What do ya want from us."

Speaking to Ysharra, Raelee says, "Mmm hmm."

Walkar says, "The cursed breastplate lost its power when Cross died."

Walkar says, "I am no threat, especially not to anyone here."

Goldstr nods at Walkar.

Walkar says, "Landing will always be my true home."

Speaking to Chamorr, Rasson says, "He wants a party to go in the Bleaklands and get his wife."

Walkar says, "But it needed me to be gone."

Walkar says, "It needed me to be dead. It couldn't heal and move on without that."

Speaking to Walkar, Ysharra asks, "Mayor Wellington. I never thought I'd meet you in the...flesh?"

Walkar says, "Even if I was out there somewhere, able to return. I couldn't allow that."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "If Rheteger has an ashignment in da bleakfieldsh, Ill go."

Speaking to Walkar, Maylan whines, "I don't understand why you had to leave us."

Walkar says, "...of course I've broken that vow now, by returning."

Alisette softly says, "He is here because of Kiske. He is here because of...love."

Speaking to Alisette, Kethrain says, "If that is truly Walkar which I still don't believe."

Speaking to Alisette, Leafiara emphasizes, "But what does he want? Cooperation in finding her?"

Walkar says, "But I would carve the flesh off every Arkati to save Kiske. So I am here. Watching all of your eyes turn to distrust and shouldering the accusations and suspicions."

Walkar says, "...and I do not blame you. I don't."

Speaking to Leafiara, Alisette says, "He wants help."

Speaking to Cryheart, Radeek says, "Do what ya will, but dis ain't da Walkar I know'd...be careful eh."

Lylia says, "Why would you? You know this town well. You know its people."

Speaking heartily to Walkar, Dwi says, "I'd pay to see dat..."

Speaking to Alisette, Kethrain says, "Or he has other motives."

Dwi heartily says, "Jus sayin."

Speaking to Walkar, Maylan pleads, "I want to believe you."

Walkar says, "In fact, what we must accomplish doesn't require you to believe me at all."

Speaking to Kethrain, Alisette says, "Maybe."

Ysharra whispers something to Raelee.

Cryheart asks, "Sooo..how do we help ye?"

Walkar says, "We seek the end of Raznel. I want Kiske's safety to be part of that."

Speaking frankly to Walkar, Leafiara says, "Maybe we can get somewhere then."

Lylia confesses, "I am skeptical myself. You appear at a most convenient time, in a most convenient guise."

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk asks, "So you are saying that this town is nothing but distrust? Not good people that elected you?"

Speaking to Radeek, Goldstr says, "He do be soundin likes da Mayor Wellington I knew."

Zosopage says, "We all love going to the Bleaklands so what's the problem here."

Speaking to Pukk, Lylia says, "I am saying that the people here are skeptics. Not cynics. And this is a good thing. Praise, not condemnation."

Speaking to Walkar, Alisette says, "We agree that there needs to be an end to the witch."

Speaking heartily to Pukk, Dwi says, "Imma da ferst one."

Lylia says, "Would that we were similarly skeptical of people who made claims of kidnapping and murder."

Stormyrain bluntly says, "Let's dig up the grave he claims will have no bones."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Maylan agrees, "YEAH."

Speaking approvingly to Stormyrain, Leafiara says, "Now you're talkin."

Maylan exclaims, "Let's dig it up!"

Umbazi says, "I like that idea."

Maylan exclaims, "And find the hound!"

Rasson says, "I do not know of you but I am willing to join you for a trip in there."

Kethrain says, "And find Winston... we need the sniffer."

Stormyrain says, "Leave Winston out of it. We can have our proof in the bottom of a grave."

Maylan exclaims, "To the grave!"

Speaking to Stormyrain, Rasson says, "Digging taks time his wife may not have."

Radeek mutters, "Take Walkar's bones from da grave...leave someone elses...openin dat grave'd prove nuthin."

Lazaryth quietly says, "I put my vote with Winston. Anyone can hide bones in a grave."

Holdover

A militiaman says, "What should we do with the Mayor...erm..what should we do with Walk...what should we do with him Captain Stormyrain?"

Speaking thoughtfully to herself, Leafiara says, "First time I can remember the captain and the marshal agreeing on something in a while and he's not even here."

Umbazi asks, "Why can't he help dig as well?"

Zosopage says, "It's been many years so the Walkar's scent may even be lost to Winston."

Speaking to Lylia, Stormyrain asks, "Mayor? Your thoughts?"

Dwi heartily says, "Yeesh."

Speaking to Zosopage, Maylan says, "Winston would never forget Walkar."

Lylia says, "Shall I just nap, then? We seem to have one too many mayors, and the captains have it well in hand."

Speaking heartily to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Chamorr says, "Put da sack back on his head."

Speaking to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Ysharra says, "Poor fellow. Titles can be like deadfalls, you never know when one is going to crush you."

Leafiara indifferently suggests, "Just bring him along for whatever kind of trap this inevitably is."

Speaking to Lylia, Maylan exclaims, "No napping. Dig woman, dig!"

Speaking to Maylan, Zosopage says, "Perhaps not but may not be instantaneous."

Walkar says, "Do not take offense. Some fall into old habits and old titles."

Walkar nods at Lylia.

Leafiara helpfully says, "We have a lot of digging practice from Caligos Isle."

Speaking to Maylan, Othael says, "Sometimes, to dig, you must first think."

Speaking to Chamorr, Radeek says, "Let him be..da only danger here is in makin da wrong d'cision..which dis town has a hist'ry of doin."

Lylia lightly says, "None taken."

Speaking to Leafiara, Lazaryth says, "Don't remind us."

Walkar says, "It didn't sound like that."

Speaking to Othael, Maylan says, "Er......"

Walkar smirks.

Speaking to Lylia, Stormyrain says, "..I asked your thoughts on what we should do with ..this person. Jail? Barracks? Unchained and free to wander? I'm afraid I am not the most ...neutral in this."

Umbazi says, "I would rather keep him where we can see him--among us."

Lylia says, "Sometimes a show of emotion is needed to make a point."

Razanetika whispers something to Lylia.

Speaking heartily to Radeek, Chamorr says, "Ain't that the truth."

Xorus wryly says, "We let Granthem wander around freely."

Lylia says, "You should understand that well. You always had a taste for theater too."

Speaking curiously to Xorus, Leafiara asks, "Why wouldn't we?"

Walkar says, "I still do."

Zosopage says, "Under extreme guard perhaps but not in jail or chained."

Zosopage says, "Would be my assessment."

Speaking affably to Xorus, Leafiara says, "Seems a pretty decent fellow. I liked his speeches when he was running for the council."

Lylia says, "True enough."

Xorus says, "Chip off the old block."

Goldstr says, "Bones can be removed. I would trust Winston."

Cryheart asks, "What do ye say, Captain?"

Speaking to Walkar, Rasson says, "I for one am for going to get your wife.. a trip to the Bleaklands sound fun."

Speaking to Shinann, Stormyrain says, "Mayhaps you should ask, apparently I'm invisible this night."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Lylia says, "No, not unchained and free to wander. But not the jail, either."

Speaking to Lylia, Stormyrain says, "Unfortunate. I'd have voted jail."

Speaking to Stormyrain, Lylia says, "Forgive me. I was thinking of somewhere suitable..."

Walkar says, "I hear a lot of suggestions, but no decision. But know I will go or be held wherever you need me to be."

Stormyrain asks, "The tower we held Grishom in?"'

Kethrain exclaims, "To the stocks!"

Lazaryth says, "It's just a bit clamorous out here, tonight."

Lylia says, "He has done nothing wrong. Jail is for criminals."

Stormyrain asks, "The prison?"

Stormyrain asks, "Bottom of the bay?"

Lylia says, "The Brass Tower."

Maylan says, "I wonder if the Outpost would make him a...guest for a while."

Radeek says, "If yer a'goin ta git Kiske, den does it fer Kiske..not fer whate'er be standin her tanight a'lookin like Walkar."

Chamorr heartily says, "That poor brass tower."

Zosopage says, "The guard there would do a good job I would think."

Lylia says, "We know we can place guards about it readily enough, both to protect its resident and to watch over him."

Chamorr heartily says, "That tower is the ancient home of the coven."

Cryheart says, "The prison dinnae hold him afore."

Speaking softly to Stormyrain, Razanetika asks, "I do not know the history of this man.. You seem to be very passionate about locking him up... May I ask why?"

Walkar says, "I look like Walkar because I am Walkar. Unfortunately we don't have time to earn your trust back."

Speaking to Lylia, Rasson says, "Keep a closer eye on him, take him into the Bleaklands, it's his wife he can help get her back."

Umbazi says, "If you can open it....the last time I visited the brass tower in town, it was closed off."

Speaking to Razanetika, Stormyrain says, "Because I am convinced this is not Walkar Wellington as I knew him, but a trick of the Witch's."

Speaking to Walkar, Maylan says, "There's an easy way."

Speaking to Walkar, Leafiara asks, "What's this plan of yours that you say doesn't require us to believe you?"

A militiaman says, "So...brass tower?"

'Speaking to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Zosopage asks, "How exactly did you capture him?"

Speaking to Zosopage, Maylan says, "A very good question."

Speaking to Rasson, Lylia says, "Were it within my power to go to the Bleaklands tonight, I would do so. I know Kiske too."

Speaking to Zosopage, Leafiara says, "They said he didn't resist... not the whole story, but that's part of it at least."

Speaking to Razanetika, Stormyrain says, "Walkar Wellington was a man I considered a friend..and Kiske is a dear friend of mine as well."

Speaking to Leafiara, Rasson says, "Believe or not, if his wife is there we will know the truth then."

A militiaman says, "We saw him approaching town so we approached him, and seeing who he was, or what he was trying to be, we apprehended him."

Speaking to Walkar, Radeek says, "I trusted ya twice...can't bear ta does it a third time...'specially knowin what I know what has ta happen ta ya in da end."

Goldstr says, "Tower sounds fine. He and we be safe wid dat."

Walkar says, "I hope that is still the case Stormyrain. I hope so."

Walkar nods at Stormyrain.

Berkana whiningly asks, "My brass tower?"

Zosopage asks, "No effort to resist?"

Walkar grins at Radeek.

Speaking heartily to Berkana, Chamorr says, "Right."

Speaking to Berkana, Lylia says, "Sorry."

Walkar says, "Taladorian soldiers cursed only one name more than my own."

Walkar nods at Radeek.

Speaking softly to Zosopage, Razanetika says, "As if he wanted to be obtained and brought here..."

Rasson says, "If there is a sliver of truth.. we cannot let the witch just have the lady..."

Speaking to Walkar, Lylia asks, "Are you up to date with current events?"

Zosopage says, "I do not think he would be a threat as long as he is watched intently and kept secure but comfortable."

Zosopage says, "My opinion anyway."

Speaking to Cryheart, Radeek says, "Make da right choice...git Kiske back...no matter what. But does it fer Kiske's sake."

Walkar says, "...you more than proved your love for this town and its people Radeek, time and again."

Walkar nods at Radeek.

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Dish ish depreshing, I needsh me a drink."

Speaking to Walkar, Lylia says, "Let us just say, Taladorian soldiers will no longer curse your name."

Berkana says, "It's alright. Grishom sort of soiled it for me anyway."

Cryheart says, "I knew Kiske."

Cryheart says, "And Walkar."

Speaking to Walkar, Stormyrain murmurs, "It is, and the Walkar I know said his goodbyes to Kiske in the night sky the evening we buried him. And many of us here dried her tears for a year to follow."

Dwi heartily says, "Fer once I grees witcha."

Speaking to Walkar, Radeek says, "Thank ya fer dat.."

Walkar says, "I have batches of information. Not everything. Kiske informed me of some things when she visited, and then even more when we reunited for good..."

Walkar says, "But we thought it best after awhile not to speak of the past at all, or even what still transpired here."

Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "No time for toashtin, shtart gulpin!"

Speaking to Walkar, Umbazi asks, "But how do we know that any of that information is real?"

Speaking to Walkar, Kethrain asks, "How long has Kiske known you were not dead?"

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi says, "We should play twinny questions wit dis feller."

Speaking to Umbazi, Rasson says, "Does it matter, if the witch has a potential paragon we need to stop her."

Walkar says, "Not long after my death. I knew she had to know in time, but not at first. I needed her grief in the final days and moments to be real."

Speaking heartily to Walkar, Dwi asks, "It bigger denna breadbox?"

Speaking to Walkar, Umbazi says, "You could just be a puppet of the witch, feeding us false information that will help her and hurt us."

Rasson says, "Let's take the fight to her for a change."

Speaking to Walkar, Maylan says, "If yer really Walkar, you'll know what punishment you gave me that time I stormed your office."

Walkar shrugs at Umbazi.

Walkar says, "I could, yes."

Speaking drunkenly to Walkar, Gutstorm asks, "It hash shtinky shocksh?"

Walkar says, "I'm also thankful you're questioning it."

Speaking to Walkar, Shinann asks, "So, what about your sister? Does she know?"

Alisette says, "We should consider helping him even if it is only because Kiske needs saving."

Speaking drunkenly to Dwi, Gutstorm says, "Yooz turn."

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi asks, "Um...socks?"

Walkar says, "I remember a time when we jumped at anyone coming to town and followed their word."

Speaking frankly to Alisette, Leafiara says, "That's not a guarantee."

Speaking to Alisette, Leafiara adds, "Or a certainty, I should say."

Speaking to Walkar, Zosopage says, "That still happens."

Shinann says, "Her I have seen."

Lazaryth says, "Except that we have only his word that Kiske needs saving."

Walkar says, "In fact, it led this town's great people to slaughter Thrayzar's tribe when we were tricked by one of Cross' minions."

Speaking to Walkar, Radeek says, "Sometimes smarts comes kinda slow."

Lylia says, "We have learned caution. At least, some of us have."

Walkar says, "So questioning things and people is always wise."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Razanetika asks, "Why are we still standing here asking pointless questions, when we could simply go to the bleaklands and see if she is there or not?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Alisette says, "No, but many things in this life are not certain. But if we don't help......we might regret that as well."

Speaking heartily to Walkar, Dwi asks, "Ye gots maybe eighteens more... issit a begetable?"

Lazaryth asks, "I'm not saying don't. But why believe he's telling even partial truth?"

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi says, "No more socks."

Speaking to Razanetika, Lylia says, "It is rather an ordeal to get there."

Speaking drunkenly to Dwi, Gutstorm says, "He doesh wanna play tweeny questionsh."

Speaking to Razanetika, Leafiara admits, "I'm not sure if Breshon would let us through the portal, to be fair..."

Shinann says, "It is wise. Yet, you are not answering me."

Speaking to Lazaryth, Ysharra says, "Because that's what a good liar does."

Speaking to Walkar, Umbazi says, "You were gone long before I came here. I know little of you and your story, only that you are supposed to be long since dead."

Walkar says, "My sister does not know."

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi says, "Da socks one trew him off."

Shinann says, "She will, you know."

Speaking to Ysharra, Lazaryth says, "We don't even know what's a truth and what's a lie."

Speaking softly to Lylia, Razanetika says, "In the time it's taken us to have these pointless drawn out conversations, we could have been there and back by now."

Shinann says, "If you are you."

Walkar says, "I wrote her a letter. She needed to know I was gone."

Walkar says, "We have..."

Speaking drunkenly to Walkar, Gutstorm asks, "Whatsh' yer shishter wook wike?"

Walkar sighs.

Lylia asks, "Ah, truly?"

Speaking to Lazaryth, Ysharra says, "That is a matter of perspective. And listening."

Walkar says, "We have a strange relationship, and I always protected her for the longest time."

Speaking distractedly to Leafiara, Raelee says, "... the lot of you can all simply walk overland. That is always an option."

Speaking drunkenly to Dwi, Gutstorm says, "I got shidetracked."

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi says, "Sposed to be yessir no."

Lylia says, "Very well, then. Open a portal to the Bleaklands. Let us be on our way."

Speaking to Walkar, Goldstr says, "If ye allow Winston to sees ye most would nae have questions bout ye."

Lazaryth says, "I'd prefer to see this Kiske. Or failing that, this Winston."

Speaking to Raelee, Leafiara confesses, "I'd be all for it, but not sure how many others want to make that march."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Me triesh arder."

Speaking heartily to Walkar, Chamorr says, "When does this venture take place."

Walkar says, "I am also a painful remember of the loss of our mother and the curse of our father."

Walkar peers quizzically at Chamorr.

Speaking dryly to Lylia, Raelee asks, "Am I going to be banished for not opening it again?"

Speaking to Walkar, Zosopage says, "The closest to you are the best to discern the truth. There is no way around that unfortunately."

Xorus says, "The Wizardwaste is known for having doppelgangers, reincarnations born with the memories of the dead."

Walkar says, "I do not know where Kiske is. I was hoping by coming here, we can learn this together."

Ysharra whispers something to Raelee.

Lylia smiles to take some of the sting out of her words and says, "It is not as easy to go there as opening a rift to Icemule Trace, sadly."

Xorus says, "This may mark a new phase of the Bleaklands."

Speaking curiously to Xorus, Leafiara asks, "How does one suss them out, then?"

Speaking to Walkar, Radeek says, "I can't stay, but if'n yer who ya says ya is...an' m'heart soooo hopes ya is....den bring Kiske home safe'n sound."

Walkar nods at Radeek.

Speaking to Raelee, Lylia says, "Sorry, Magister. I cannot banish you yet."

Walkar hugs Radeek, who wraps him in a warm embrace.

Speaking drunkenly to Leafiara, Gutstorm asks, "Whatsha shush mean?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Xorus says, "Usually they rip someone's throat out when they get too hungry."

Speaking dryly to Lylia, Raelee says, "Of course not."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Leafiara says, "Uncover, or find."

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi says, "Issa shushroom."

Walkar says, "She is my Phever. You know what I would do to save her."

Walkar nods at Radeek.

Speaking to Lylia, Ysharra says, "I would rather hope not. I'd never get access to her lab then."

Speaking understandingly to Xorus, Leafiara says, "Ahh, so in that case we just need to wait a bit."

Radeek nods at Walkar.

Speaking to Raelee, Ysharra says, "Excellent workspace is hard to come by."

Speaking to Walkar, Radeek says, "Prolly more'n anyone."

Lazaryth says, "Why not. If we're not going to get the dog, why not just go look at the grave."

Lazaryth says, "Let's do something, even if it's wrong."

Leafiara agreeably says, "I do like the grave plan."

A militiaman says, "...where are we taking him?"

Rainedrop quietly says, "Me too."

Lylia replies, "The Brass Tower."

Stormyrain wearily asks, "Brass Tower?"

Speaking heartily to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Dwi exclaims, "Helga's!"

Speaking to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Kethrain says, "When we know you'll be told relax."

A militiaman says, "We can help dig up the grave."

Speaking to Cryheart, Radeek says, "Bring her home...no matter da cost...he's who he says he be."

Ysharra says, "Graves do hold some evidence. It might not be much clarity but it'll be something."

Felita says, "Ye might enjoy yer room at the tower, it be Brass so be shiny."

Maylan exclaims, "Dig dig dig!"

Lylia says, "Yes, although I do not think it will show much. Perhaps with a bard's song."

Speaking to Cryheart, Radeek says, "Da witch can't unnerstand dat kinda love."

Maylan chants, "DIG DIG DIG."

A militiaman says, "We'll escort him to the Tower. When we return, let's go to the graveyard."

Speaking to Lylia, Kethrain asks, "Was he buried in his armor?"

Speaking to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Zosopage says, "Keep him comfortable at least."

Cryheart asks, "Perhaps we put him in the tower, then we can dig later?"

Dwi heartily says, "Yer all so poonatib."

Speaking to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Lylia says, "Yes. Thank you."

Leafiara affably says, "Sounds good."

Walkar nods.

Cryheart says, "Sounds logical."

Speaking to Lazaryth, Maylan exclaims, "Digging is even better than burning. This'll be a hoot!"

Speaking to Kethrain, Lylia says, "I shall have to think on that."

Speaking to Maylan, Lazaryth says, "If yo usay so."

Maylan exclaims, "Woosh!"

Rasson says, "If he planned this out, he would of cleared out the grave anyhow... or the witch will have an illusion over it showing it empty."

Lylia says, "I believe that armor was sundered..."

A militiaman moves to put the burlap sack over Walkar's head when another militiaman says, "That won't be necessary."

Speaking to Walkar, Maylan says, "Bye mister."

Cryheart says, "I say let them escort him to the tower, and they come back and help us dig the grave."

Dwi heartily says, "It's his sack."

Speaking to Walkar, Ysharra says, "Someone gave me a miniature of you, you know. Holding your axe."

Speaking to Walkar, Maylan says, "Enjoy the tower."

Walkar grins at Ysharra.

Speaking to Walkar, Ysharra says, "I wonder if I'll get to add to the set."

Radeek mutters, "Da past ne'er seems ta stays der...."

Rasson says, "Whereas a woman could be getting all kinds of parasites feasting on her preparing her to be a paragon as we talk...."

Speaking to Walkar, Zosopage says, "We, or at least some of us hope it is really you and that your intent is pure."

The militia walk off, escorting a chained Walkar towards the Brass Tower.

Digging Up The Past

Speaking to Ysharra, Kethrain says, "Yeah but it's not considered a collectible any more cause he's back... apparently."

Speaking to Kethrain, Ysharra asks, "Matter of opinion, as to what one values, hmm?"

Speaking heartily to Kethrain, Dwi says, "Dont tell dat to my witch mini."

Speaking quietly to Ysharra, Raelee remarks, "... he ripped out a piece of my spine, once."

Cryheart says, "Shall we head to the graveyard or wait for the militia to return?"

Speaking to Cryheart, Maylan exclaims, "Onward!"

Stormyrain says, "Head there, they can meet us."

Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Which mini doesh I hash?"

Leafiara says, "I'm sure they can find their way. They know where we're going."

[travel]

Speaking to Cryheart, Pukk exclaims, "Let's go dig some graves!"

Kethrain says, "I lost a big sack of minis... siege weapons and all."

[Wehnimer's, Erebor Square]

The dome of a large temple rises above this peaceful square, silhouetted against the starlit sky. The circular building is surrounded by marble porticos and teak columns, and a promenade leads to two pillars, through which the inner sanctum can be glimpsed. Priests and worshippers wander here and there, engaged in various rituals of devotion or study. A locked almsbox is securely bolted to an iron pole alongside the pillars. You also see a glowing white stone and a wrought iron gate.

Speaking to herself, Maylan says, "Ohboyohboyohboyohboyohboy."

Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "Which mini doesh I hash?"

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi asks, "Ye gotta monkey dontcha?"

Cryheart says, "I hae a question I could ask him, that perhaps only he would know."

Speaking to Gutstorm, Leafiara suggests, "Take a look at it. The name might be on it."

Cryheart says, "Hard to say though."

Speaking to Cryheart, Umbazi says, "Try it."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Pherantyr."

Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "Who dat?!"

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Chamorr says, "It has his name."

Speaking to Cryheart, Stormyrain suggests, "If he is a paragon, and she somehow captured his soul, his essence, before his true death--he would still have all his memories of his life."

Speaking heartily to Leafiara, Dwi says, "Svardin's thinkin bout haffin a siegery ebent."

Xorus says, "He may sincerely believe he is Walkar. Depending on what he is, exactly."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "I been prackicin but im not goot."

Speaking surprisedly to Xorus, Maylan asks, "Oh?"

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi says, "We letcha borrow da witch."

Speaking to Xorus, Maylan asks, "Who or what do you think the fella is?"

A town militiaman arrives and says, "Walkar is secure in the Brass Tower. We'll have a watch all day and night."

Razanetika softly says, "Lovely."

Lylia distantly says, "Thank you for that."

Dwi yells, "Yer guards...is yer job!"

Xorus says, "Waste doppelganger. Paragon manifestation. Maybe."

A rush of air rising to meet the enormous wings of the shadowy dragon heralds its arrival from the southwest.

Gutstorm points at a shadowy dragon.

Speaking to Xorus, Maylan asks, "What about those golem things?"

Speaking to Cryheart, Stormyrain asks, "Are we going to do this?"

Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "Itsh an Omen!"

With a roar that would surely be deafening were it directed at you, the shadowy dragon flies northeast and disappears from sight.

Xorus says, "It seems unlikely he is simply.. himself, uncursed..."

Stormyrain says, "Because if not I have things to attend to."

Cryheart says, "Was waiting for the militia to return."

Felita asks, "What we gonna do?"

Zosopage says, "Many different possibilities. Odd timing I admit though."

Cryheart says, "Well..they can find us."

[travel]

Leafiara muses, "There are enough of us to at least get started. ...maybe more than enough."

Xorus says, "I suppose he could be a simulacra, though his memories would have needed to be transferred."

Leafiara mumbles, "Depends how deep that grave goes."

[Temple, Graveyard]

A large white marble monument stands watch over this quiet tree-lined bower. The air is cool, and the silence is broken only by the rustling of leaves in a breeze. A feeling of peace blankets the area, and the soft earth seems to invite you to sit and contemplate. You also see a row of small stone markers.

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "Im not much for manual labor, i may break a nail."

Umbazi says, "Here."

Speaking softly to Leafiara, Razanetika says, "If it takes more than 5 people to dig a grave, we have issues."

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi says, "Use a pincer instead."

Umbazi says, "Nope, not here."

Cryheart says, "I am nae sure which one is his."

Leafiara asks, "Southwest?"

People in the crowd look around, not seeing Walkar's grave here.

Sir Cryheart's group just went southwest.

[Temple, Graveyard]

A small group of people stands around a newly-covered grave here in the Temple's shadow. A priest, dressed in solemn clothing, leads the people in a soft song. While the key is minor, the words rejoice that the departed one now rests beyond the hardships of life, safe within Lorminstra's grasp. You also see a small grey tombstone, a row of small stone markers and a smooth granite headstone with a deep purple violet on it.

Rasson asks, "The one that says Walkar?"

>look head

The headstone has been crafted out of polished granite with its edges and surfaces smoothed to a nice finish. The small depiction of a waraxe has been etched into the stone, just inches above a pitted engraving that reads, "Walkar Wellington, 5115. May He Know Peace."

Leafiara musingly says, "Wonder if Pylasar was here."

Leafiara glances at a deep purple violet on a smooth granite headstone.

Lylia dryly remarks, "For a moment, I thought perhaps Raznel herself wearing another face, but she is emotionally unstable and could not restrain herself from a cackle or two. She cannot help but to give her nature away."

Speaking heartily to a smooth granite headstone, Dwi asks, "Hulooo?"

Pukk says, "Not here."

Speaking to herself, Stormyrain murmurs, "Forgive us this tresspass."

Speaking to Lylia, Ysharra says, "She's probably up to her limit in faces at this point."

Speaking to Pukk, Leafiara says, "It's here."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "That wooked wiked it tickled."

Umbazi says, "If you can bring yourself to dig. I want to and I can't." [OOC: meaning, mechanically, that the DIG verb doesn't work]

Pukk asks, "Colson?"

Goldstr says, "Hmmm I remember seein Walkar's grave here sometime back."

A uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman just arrived!

Stormyrain says, "Here."

Speaking to a smooth granite headstone, Xorus says, "Perhaps this is why you appeared in that vision."

Guarrin deeply says, "Hope they brought shovels."

Speaking heartily to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Dwi asks, "Ye lost him eh?"

Lazaryth says, "Can anyone heat the ground? I imagine it's already partly frozen, with this weather we've been having."

Razanetika softly says, "I left my shovels on the isle."

Speaking softly to Gutstorm, Razanetika asks, "Yes?"

Felita asks, "Does we use our hands?"

Leafiara wryly says, "Think so."

Umbazi says, "Well, surely someone knows Earthen Fury and can make the ground explode without killing us..."

Cryheart says, "Well..."

Shinann says, "Even if no bones... not sure that will convince me."

Dwi heartily says, "It's perty wet."

Speaking drunkenly to Dwi, Gutstorm says, "Wanna know whatsh funny? you gotsh a wagglin shtick and I dont."

Speaking softly to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Razanetika asks, "Did you bring shovels?"

Othael says, "May want to be as gentle as possible however, as to not disturb or demolish any remais."

Leafiara admits, "Didn't quite expect -this- to be my night, but... whatever it takes."

(Maylan thrusts her bare hands into the ground and begins haphazardly flinging dirt about.)

Othael corrects, "Remains."

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi asks, "Wanna trade fer an axe?"

(OOC) Ryndith's player whispers to the group, "If I was actually able to pay proper attention, I'd be wondering if a Lorminstra cleric should be raising some objections right about now."

A militiaman rolls in a wooden cart and begins to place some shovels on the ground.

(OOC) Cryheart's player whispers to the group, "We will hae to wait a bit."

Speaking drunkenly to Leafiara, Gutstorm exclaims, "More paw work, lesh jawk work. DIG!"

Lazaryth says, "Aha."

[people start picking up shovels]

Wolfloner asks, "You expect to find?"

Speaking softly to a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, Razanetika says, "Thank you sweetly."

Wolfloner asks, "Bones?"

Leafiara relievedly says, "Ah, whew."

(OOC) Othael's player whispers to the group, "FREE SHOVELS FOR DIGGING AT EG!"

(Leafiara starts digging away, shoveling dirt into a pile next to her.)

Speaking deeply to Wolfloner, Guarrin says, "Potentially. He just showed up."

The militiaman shrugs at the empty cart. "Budget cuts, all we got."

Maylan says, "I don't need no shovel."

(Maylan spits on the ground.)

Felita says, "Me toos."

(Stormyrain slams the shovel into the ground in front of Walkar's headstone and tosses a bit of dirt to the side.)

Chamorr heartily says, "Put yer backs into it."

Gutstorm drunkenly asks, "How does one work this contraption?"

(Ysharra takes her shovel with a practiced hand of a gardener, and levers up a clump of dusty-grey ashen earth.)

Lylia briskly says, "Those budget cuts pay more guards' salaries. There is a blight on."

(Umbazi continues to try to scoop up handfuls of the grave dirt.)

Speaking heartily to Chamorr, Dwi says, "No ye."

(Leafiara roars and slams the shovel in, digging with all her might.)

Pukk steps on the top of his wooden shovel's blade and leans into it, sinking the blade into the ground. With a hefty tug, he lifts out a large load of soil and throws it aside.

Wolfloner quietly says, "No good will come of this."

(Shinann starts to dig into the grave.)

Pukk steps on the top of his wooden shovel's blade and leans into it, sinking the blade into the ground. With a hefty tug, he lifts out a large load of soil and throws it aside.

(Zosopage digs slowly and methodically, carefully to not disturb the surrounding.)

(Othael heaves his shovel into the frozen ground below, attempting not to disturb the ground much.)

Speaking drunkenly to Dwi, Gutstorm says, "Itsh like a REALY big shpoon."

Pukk steps on the top of his wooden shovel's blade and leans into it, sinking the blade into the ground. With a hefty tug, he lifts out a large load of soil and throws it aside.

(Maylan tosses a clump of dirt at Lazaryth.)

>analy my shov

You analyze your wooden shovel and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions. The creator has also provided the following information:

This is a farming tool. The wooden shovel can be altered, but the noun is limited to scythe, hoe, plow, rake, trowel, shovel, and spade. The wooden shovel is not unlocked.

You get no sense of whether or not the shovel may be further lightened.

Pukk steps on the top of his wooden shovel's blade and leans into it, sinking the blade into the ground. With a hefty tug, he lifts out a large load of soil and throws it aside.

>poke my shov

Going around poking things isn't going to get you far.

(Felita digs in the ground with her hands throwing dirt everywhere.)

Speaking deeply to Wolfloner, Guarrin says, "It has been one of those nights."

Pukk steps on the top of his wooden shovel's blade and leans into it, sinking the blade into the ground. With a hefty tug, he lifts out a large load of soil and throws it aside.

Speaking heartily to Gutstorm, Dwi says, "I was thinkin da same bout ye da udder day."

>push my shov

Leafiara stepss on the top of her wooden shovel's blade and leans into it, sinking the blade into the ground. With a hefty tug, she lifts out a large load of soil and throws it aside.

Speaking deeply to Wolfloner, Zolis says, "You say that as if it's a bad thing."

Wolfloner asks, "Did we not see the man die?"

Pukk steps on the top of his wooden shovel's blade and leans into it, sinking the blade into the ground. With a hefty tug, he lifts out a large load of soil and throws it aside.

Leafiara stepss on the top of her wooden shovel's blade and leans into it, sinking the blade into the ground. With a hefty tug, she lifts out a large load of soil and throws it aside.

Othael steps on the top of his wooden shovel's blade and leans into it, sinking the blade into the ground. With a hefty tug, he lifts out a large load of soil and throws it aside.

(OOC) Leafiara's playe whispers to the group, "PUSH, apparently."

(Lylia plants the tip of the shovel in the soft soil and presses it home with her heel, turning over the dirt in a neat pile.)

(OOC) Pukk's player whispers to the group, "Push shovel."

Stormyrain steps on the top of her wooden shovel's blade and leans into it, sinking the blade into the ground. With a hefty tug, she lifts out a large load of soil and throws it aside.

(OOC) Othael's player whispers to the group, "Ayup."

[just imagine 500 lines of digging amidst the dialogue]

Wolfloner says, "Then let him lie."

Rasson says, "We see people die every day."

Wolfloner says, "Walkar is not in the tower."

Rasson says, "Sometimes a few times a day."

Wolfloner says, "Recent events offer a more plausible explanation."

Speaking in Sylvankind to herself, Stormyrain murmurs, "I swear to the Gods I will end this Witch."

A woman in a black dress and carrying a cluster of red flowers enters the graveyard and stops, seeing the crowd surrounding a headstone and digging up the earth. She gasps and runs off!

Speaking wryly to Wolfloner, Leafiara says, "Lots of more plausible ones, heh."

Berkana says, "Some people must miss digging."

Lylia says, "Let us not be superstitious. A body from which the soul has fled is an empty vessel."

Pukk sings:

"I have been working on the chain

the chain gang"

Zolis deeply says, "Disturb that grave like you mean it."

Alisette yells, "Sorry! We will put it back!"

Kethrain says, "Uhoh there went a Pristess of Lormintra."

Speaking adamantly to Zolis, Leafiara says, "We do."

Xorus asks, "What did she expect, coming to a graveyard near the witching hour?"

Alisette says, "Poor lady."

Speaking in Sylvankind to herself, Stormyrain growls, "I will end her, and I will end her entire line."

Cryheart says, "Scared off one of the citizens."

Speaking heartily to Pukk, Dwi says, "Dis is why we aint idjits."

Speaking deeply to Cryheart, Guarrin asks, "Are you surprised?"

Goldstr says, "Poor Lady Wellington."

Cryheart says, "Nae."

Speaking to Dwi, Pukk exclaims, "Speak for yourself!"

Speaking to Cryheart, Shinann says, "Least the flowers looked fresh.. maybe went to Solhaven."

Pukk exclaims, "This is fun!"

Zosopage sings:

"Dig and dig and dig a hole

Until you fit"

Speaking to Lylia, Ryndith says, "It is true, bodies buried in the graveyard are more to provide solace to the living than they are the dead."

Pukk exclaims, "We are digging up bodies!"

Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "We diggin in da right shpot? we gonna be in Icemule shoon!"

Leafiara marvels, "Sheesh, you all buried him deep."

Speaking happily to herself, Maylan says, "I dig dig dig and I dig dig dig."

Dwi heartily says, "Betcha der's a pot o' Dwarf stew down der."

Pukk exclaims, "Wait!"

Guarrin whispers something to Meureii.

>look

[Temple, Graveyard]

A small group of people stands around a newly-covered grave here in the Temple's shadow. A priest, dressed in solemn clothing, leads the people in a soft song. While the key is minor, the words rejoice that the departed one now rests beyond the hardships of life, safe within Lorminstra's grasp. You also see a recently dug open grave, a uniformed Wehnimer's militiaman, a roly-poly flamepoint sand kitten, the Dwi disk, the Razanetika disk, the Mongonator disk, the Gutstorm disk, the Guarrin disk, the Shyspirit disk, the crab-shaped Rasson disk, a spotted great horned owl, a small grey tombstone, a row of small stone markers and a smooth granite headstone with a deep purple violet on it.

The earth is finally cleared away to reveal an open grave before Walkar's headstone.

Leafiara exclaims, "Aha!"

Pukk says, "Some of you are digging the soil and putting it back into the hole!~."

Alisette says, "Grave."

Maylan exclaims, "There it is!"

>look grav

The grave has been recently dug up and a worn wooden coffin lies at the bottom of its murky depths.

Cryheart says, "Nothing in the grave."

Dwi heartily says, "Nuffin innit."

Othael says, "Welp, it's empty."

Alisette says, "Nothing."

Lazaryth says, "Now, here's a question."

Dwi heartily exclaims, "Fillin it den!"

Guarrin deeply says, "Coffin in there."

Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "Im going in!"

Lazaryth asks, "Who noticed if the ground was disturbed when we got here?"

(Maylan pries her pegleg into the wedge of the dug open grave, attempting to dislodge the cover.)

Umbazi says, "I checked. It wasn't."

Zosopage says, "Well that was unexpectedly expected."

Speaking to Lazaryth, Lylia says, "I did not notice anything out of the ordinary."

Stormyrain says, "There's a coffin in there."

With Maylan's action, the top of the coffin is pushed aside slightly, revealing nothing inside.

Stormyrain asks, "Who is going to open it?"

Umbazi says, "Maylan, I see."

Goldstr says, "Empty."

Berkana says, "Well."

Alisette says, "Question answered."

Cryheart says, "So much for that."

Berkana asks, "That's not a suprise, is it?"

Shinann says, "Still does not mean a thing to me."

Leafiara musingly says, "Does this even prove anything? I only figured it would prove something if there -was- a body."

Ryndith says, "Or in this case... no solace for the living."

Rasson exclaims, "Now to the Bleaklands!"

Dwi heartily says, "I aint bouncin onna dis coffin."

Zolis deeply says, "They dug his body out from underneath, obviously."

Lylia says, "I would have expected a body. Perhaps not Walkar's."

Raelee curiously asks, "... this is not being regarded as proof, is it?"

Speaking to Leafiara, Lazaryth says, "I'm afraid you're right."

Speaking to Leafiara, Maylan says, "Shoulda done the sniff test."

Speaking wryly to Raelee, Leafiara says, "Hope not."

Dwi heartily says, "Prolley fulla liches."

Speaking slowly to Maylan, Lazaryth says, "Always do the sniff test."

Zosopage says, "Perhaps not proof but a step towards it."

Cryheart says, "Well...will the militia refill the grave."

Speaking to Lylia, Ysharra says, "The Magister's right. Too much happens around this town when it comes to corpses."

Maylan sniffs at Lazaryth.

Cryheart says, "Perhaps we should go back to Moot Hall."

Rasson says, "Wait."

Lazaryth snaps, "Not on me."

Raelee adds, "Were I Raznel, removing the body would be amongst my first tasks. Looking for it as proof to the veracity of this 'Walkar' is a rather obvious course, after all."

Rasson says, "Do not refill it."

Speaking simply to Raelee, Leafiara says, "Exactly."

Rasson says, "He could still die on the rescue mission."

Alisette suggests, "We could give him the benefit of the doubt, perhaps and attempt to find Kiske."

Raelee mentions, "... And Grand Magister Dennet was a very skilled earth mage. Surely she learned something from him..."

Zosopage asks, "Hrmm how to refill this hole?"

Cryheart says, "Indeed."

Pukk exclaims, "Let's dig up other graves!"

Umbazi says, "It's not proof that the man saying he is Walkar is. It just proves that Walkar wasn't buried here. Or didn't remain buried here. He might be dead. He might be alive. He might be a paragon. We don't know."

Chamorr heartily says, "Maybe we find someone else to take his place."

Rasson says, "Just turn the little 5 to a 9 up date the death date."

Rasson says, "Toss him in."

Xorus says, "This could easily have been done months ago when this cemetery tore open with undead."

Leafiara adds, "This was also a natural ploy if Raznel found out about the vision where the captain was told to kill all the paragons, 'even'..."

Winston Wails

The howl of a bloodhound echoes in the distance, like a forlorn soul crying in the night.

Speaking deeply to Xorus, Zolis asks, "Did you obliterate zombie Walkar?"

Leafiara curiously says, "Hm."

Maylan asks, "DId you hear that?"

Dwi heartily asks, "Hear dat?"

Chamorr heartily says, "Winston."

Rainedrop quietly says, "Uh oh."

Maylan asks, "DID YOU HEAR?"

Othael: "Winston smells him."

Alisette exclaims, "Winston!"

Maylan exclaims, "He knows! He knows!"

Kethrain exclaims, "Winston!"

Umbazi says, "I heard a dog howling. Dogs howl."

Dwi heartily says, "Hmm..I was bettin on da pie."

Speaking to Zolis, Xorus says, "I watched him be buried. Apparently, it might not have stuck."

Umbazi says, "That's not proof either."

Gutstorm drunkenly says, "I shaw him in da trophy room about an hour ago."

Felita says, "Hes howlin fer his daddy."

Leafiara suggests, "Check the trophy room where he often stays."

Goldstr yells, "Winston!"

Cryheart says, "That was a bloodhound it sounded like."

Speaking to Lylia, Maylan exclaims, "It must be him, truly!"

Zosopage says, "Not a dog but a bloodhound."

Zosopage says, "Therefore Winston."

Cryheart asks, "Shall we go to check the Inn?"

Rasson says, "At this point though, if the lady can be saved, shouldn't we get to the saving.... can go all night trying to prove he is not him."

Maylan insists, "It must me!"

Wolfloner says, "Let's see if his bloodhound takes to Walkar."

Kethrain says, "It's Winston for sure."

Umbazi says, "I thought bloodhounds WERE dogs."

Cryheart says, "Moving."

[travel]

[Raging Thrak, Trophy Room]

Tiny smudges of soot mar the fieldstones used to create the grand fireplace in this cozy room. A collection of plaques hangs above an immense grey marble mantel cluttered with trophy cups and bowls. Fashioned from a single stone slab, the hearth extends to an impressive black bear rug with its maw frozen in a silent roar. Several overstuffed wingback chairs, each covered in deep jewel-tone chintz, are scattered about the room. Against the back wall, a tall glass-front curio houses several ancient mementos and a thrak hide curtain hangs nearby. You also see an intricately woven straw wastebasket, a basket of sticks, a shifting twilight grey rift, a carved wooden sign and a droopy-eyed tan bloodhound.

[fill in dozens of lines of petting all throughout]

Cryheart says, "Here he is."

Goldstr says, "If Winston caught his scent he may be at da Tower."

Cryheart says, "Hello Winston."

Dwi heartily says, "Doggie."

Zosopage says, "Yes they are dogs but a bloodhounds howl is unmistakable."

Speaking fondly to a droopy-eyed tan bloodhound, Leafiara asks, "How ya doin' there Winston?"

The bloodhound pants heavily, sniffing around the floor.

Speaking to a droopy-eyed tan bloodhound, Maylan says, "You really are a good boy."

Gutstorm drunkenly exclaims, "Kitty!"

Speaking to a droopy-eyed tan bloodhound, Kethrain says, "Winston."

The bloodhound whimpers, sniffing around.

Cryheart says, "He smells somthing."

Xorus whispers something to Lylia.

Lylia says, "We have multiple reasons to go to the Bleaklands now. We cannot, however, go there at a step. It is not somewhere that the veils can be ripped asunder so easily, nor..."

Speaking to a droopy-eyed tan bloodhound, Goldstr says, "Der ye be boy."

Speaking to a droopy-eyed tan bloodhound, Zosopage says, "Long time no see."

The bloodhound moves around the gathered crowd, brushing up against legs, sniffing at shoes, and whimpering.

Cryheart says, "Poor Winston."

Zosopage says, "I say take him to the tower."

Speaking amusedly to Zosopage, Leafiara says, "He's here most of the time to come visit."

Wolfloner says, "Take him to the tower."

Speaking to a droopy-eyed tan bloodhound, Pukk says, "It's okay. We won't let the mean ole Lylia get to you."

Xorus says, "So much for not tormenting him."

Rasson says, "He already smells him on us."

Speaking to Leafiara, Zosopage says, "I haven't persnally seen him in awhile."

Speaking heartily to Chamorr, Dwi says, "Leash em...anna gits him a steak."

Speaking suddenly to Rasson, Leafiara says, "Oh, that makes sense."

Maylan forlornly says, "To smell him so near and not even see him..."

The bloodhound looks up at the faces of the crowd, dragging his saggy-face from one person to the next, looking for something or someone. His eyes almost sparkle.

Cryheart says, "Aye...I believe he already smells him."

Umbazi says, "Maybe he just likes being petted."

Alisette says, "Nope, he knows."

Lylia awkwardly says, "There, there."

Umbazi says, "It has, after all, been years and years since Walkar was around."

Speaking pleasedly to Alisette, Leafiara says, "They usually do."

Cryheart says, "Aye."

Speaking to Lylia, Pukk says, "If you smile, he might believe you."

Felita asks, "Winston are ye lookin fer yer daddy?"

The bloodhound literally sighs, its eyes drooping and its face sagging even more. He lowers himself slowly to the floor, one of his old legs slipping briefly as he moves to a resting position.

Lylia replies, "You do not smile at dogs. They perceive it as a baring of teeth."

Speaking to Umbazi, Goldstr says, "Winston nae fergets."

Maylan says, "This was a bad idea. Perhaps we should not do any more sniffing. I don't like this."

Umbazi says, "See? He gets excited when anyone pets him."

Zosopage says, "He knows something is up."

Felita says, "He lookin fer his daddy."

Lazaryth says, "Take him to the tower."

Lylia murmurs, "You have to think like a dog, a bit."

Umbazi says, "He's looking for petting and treats."

Pukk says, "Smiling doesn't always show teeth."

Speaking to Lylia, Maylan says, "Oh yes, let us take him to the Tower."

Speaking softly to a droopy-eyed tan bloodhound, Alisette says, "He is in the tower."

Lylia says, "My smiles usually show teeth. Many teeth."

Maylan says, "Let him keep his old friend company, for just a little while."

Zosopage says, "I better not smile with these dang fangs."

Speaking softly to a droopy-eyed tan bloodhound, Berkana says, "Hello Winston."

Speaking to Zosopage, Pukk says, "So, that is how Balley likes it..."

Zolis deeply says, "So..."

Speaking to Pukk, Zosopage says, "Well she does like blood."

Speaking curiously to a droopy-eyed tan bloodhound, Leafiara asks, "Do ya wanna investigate with us?"

Speaking to a droopy-eyed tan bloodhound, Goldstr exclaims, "Come wid us boy and see yer ole friend!"

The bloodhound's eyes begin to droop.

Speaking to a droopy-eyed tan bloodhound, Felita asks, "Are you wanting to see yer daddy?"

Cryheart says, "Let's see if Winston follows us."

Leafiara musingly says, "Guess he's really sleepy."

Alisette says, "He is tired."

Lazaryth asks, "Call him from the entrance?"

Speaking to Zolis, Lylia asks, "They like snacks, do they not? Treats?"

Speaking to a droopy-eyed tan bloodhound, Zosopage says, "Stay awake there buddy. We need you to do something."

Speaking to Lylia, Alisette says, "Appropriate snacks."

Cryheart says, "Folks, I am going to rest."
