Tonight's patrol was nothing short of extraordinary. On our second encounter of the evening, the valiant crew of the Chicken had just dispatched the captain of a rival vessel. Our ranks were slim, consisting of Admiral Loralaii, myself, Captain Darphin Ta'Mori, and the steadfast Crewman Felarynth. Perhaps our shortage of hands was a twist of fate that led to the night's remarkable events. As we busied ourselves with the grim task of clearing the deck and preparing to set the ship ablaze, the waters around us began to bubble and froth ominously. From the depths emerged a colossal avian beast, clad in armor, accompanied by a cerulean mass of slime. The sight was enough to send one of the surviving cabin boys into a frenzy, plunging into the churning sea, but the crew of the Chicken stood resolute, ready for battle.

With a fierce determination, Admiral Loralaii and Crewman Felarynth joined forces to bring down the armored bird, which succumbed swiftly to our onslaught, leaving only the gelatinous foe. As we turned our focus to the slime, it became painfully clear that our physical strikes were futile against it. Thus, the battle devolved into a test of endurance, with me at the forefront. The creature fought back fiercely, and for nearly ten grueling minutes, we exchanged blows until, at last, it fell beneath the weight of my relentless spells.

But the night had more in store for us. A blinding flash erupted, momentarily obscuring our vision as we stood on the blood-stained deck. When my sight returned, I beheld a tall, ethereal figure standing before us. My heart raced as I recognized the Arkati known as Luukos, The Lord of Lies, to whom I have devoted my life. He gazed at me intently before placing an object upon the deck, pointing a slender finger at me and vanishing in another dazzling flash.

Curiosity piqued, I approached the item. It appeared to be a rhimar-hued crystal phylactery, no larger than a human fist, exuding an icy allure as if it were carved from the very essence of rhimar. Within its core, the crystal seemed to capture light, glowing with an inner fire. Two small bone fangs were intricately embedded within, designed to attach the phylactery to a chain of blackened steel, allowing it to hang with an air of ominous elegance. I am eager to delve deeper into the mysteries of this extraordinary gift.
