New Aelotoi Culture - the Cyrtae'ni
After twenty years in Elanthia, many aelotoi, especially those born or raised here, find themselves coming together in different ways. They call themselves the Cyrtae'ni.
All aelotoi will be given a one-time culture reset option in case they wish to embrace their inner Cyrtae'ni.

Announcement 2
As discussed in the Cyrtae'ni document, a yll'suta is an object hanging in a bedroom meant to bring good dreams.
At DFF 2023 in the shop Perchance to Dream, you can purchase your very own yll'suta!
Highlights:
- PLACE it on the ground, and it will stay for up to 4 hours until PLACEd again by the owner
- PLACE it in your own private property, and it will stay until you PLACE it again
- TURN it after PLACEing it in your own private property, and it will become permanent. You won't be able to PLACE it any more, but now it is like a normal prop in the room.
- Currently, 1 tier, 4 fluff verbs, and several ambients

Announcement 3
In droves and swarms, dragonflies, darters, and damselflies return to the meadows, forests, and fields that surround Cysaegir to bask in the warm summer sun. Merchants follow the fickle friends and return once more to the verdant city in celebration of all things Aelotoi and Dragonfly.
Starting on the Day of the Huntress at 9pm, shops and merchants will open in the ambling streets of Cysaegir to sell their wares. There will be several raffles, some specifically centered on Aelotoi and for them, throughout the weekend. Those raffles include: 3 Aelotoi Specific Signature Verbs, two fully unlocked WingSong Collection Ensembles, a Fully Customized Veola, an Enhancive Wing Jewelry, and a few other surprises.

Eyeano Collects Flowers!
Eyeano will once again be working at the Dragonfly Festival. For those of you that do not remember her, she is a young Aelotoi who collects flowers for the Ceremony of Remembrance. In exchange for providing her with 50 unique flowers, she will gift you the fabled glaesine crystal dragonfly.
This dragonfly will allow you to transport to Cysaegir once a month, though if you are an Aelotoi it will allow you to transport to Cysaegir once a week.
The dragonfly is a tiered item and can be unlocked by any Aelotoi Merchant at the festival. Unlocking the dragonfly provides it with extra fluff verbs.
Regarding the flowers: Eyeano will provide you with information on each flower. While most flowers can be foraged and turned in, there are 10 unique flowers that only bloom in Whistler’s Pass. You’ll be able to collect them during the festival.

Death and mourning customs are found in most cultures, and the aelotoi are no different. For many, this involves solely the Ceremony of Remembrance, but with their freedom in Elanthia, they have been able to embrace older customs and even develope some new ones.
Announcement 6
In honor of Dragonfly Festival, we are pleased to announce several updates to the FLUTTER and SWEAR verbs for aelotoi.
FLUTTER now has a specific section listed as WINGSONG that will allow aelotoi to FLUTTER PLAY SLOW or FAST. This allows them to use their wings as an instrument and typing these allow will cause messaging about the type of music they produce with their wings at 15 – 30 second intervals, the same as if they were playing an instrument.
While FLUTTER PLAY is active, they can also utilize the following responses:
FLUTTER CLAP – this will let you punctuate your music with a quick clap of your wings.
FLUTTER THUMP – this allows you to create a tempo with your hands while your wings are play.
FLUTTER SLOW – if you are playing fast, this allows you to slow your rhythm down.
FLUTTER FAST – if you are playing slow, this allows you to speed up your rhythm.
FLUTTER STOP – this will end your performance.
FLUTTER also has the following new styles: brave, curious, distracted, excited, playful and stretch
SWEAR now has three specific swear styles for aelotoi that can be targeted at <self>, <object>, <creature>, <player>, or left completely untargeted.
SWEAR WINGLESS – lets you curse the wingless fools you find yourself around.
- Narrowing your eyes, you curse your ineffective wings and briefly wish you were one of the wingless fools that walk Elanith.
SWEAR REGRET – lets you issue a curse that you regret.
- You mutter a vile curse, your flashes of quick anger growing colorful as you pluck uncouth words from the multiple races of Elanith. As the last word tumbles from your lips, you feel a flush of regret and embarrassment color your cheeks.
SWEAR PLUCK – lets you wish you could pluck a fellow aelotoi’s wings off their back because they have made you that angry.
- Spitefully cursing, you angrily wish the downfall of Elanthian society at the hands of the kiramon.

In honor of the winged friends of Cysaegir, the Bugs of Parade Bug Jars are able to capture 11 unique dragonflies during the festival. Enjoy!
~*~ Yll'sutas: A Dragonfly Festival 2023 Item ~*~
Created for the 2023 Dragonfly Festival, a yll'suta is an aelotoi-created hanging item meant to assist with good dreams.
Custom Object Usage: PUSH MY YLL'SUTA while holding an eligible object (currently gems) will add the held object to the yll'suta. It will be an adornment showing in the LOOK near the medallion. PULL removes the object.
Placement Usage: PLACE to set it down for up to 4 hours. Only the person PLACEing can pick it back up during that time. If you forget, after four hours, it will be able to be picked up by anyone, including the janitor. If the janitor gets it, you can check in at the Adventurer's Guild for LOST items. Pick it up by repeating PLACE <item>.
Private Property Usage: If you own a private property, you can PLACE the yll'suta, and it will not be swept up by the janitor. It will stay there until you pick it up with PLACE <item>.
PERMANENT PP Usage: After PLACEing a yll'suta in your private property, you can TURN it and make it a permanent prop in the room. If you do this, it cannot be undone. You can no longer PLACE it or GET it.
Verb Traps: fidget, hug, tickle, twist (POKE will toggle ambients on/off)
Alteration Instructions:
- Alterations are open to any merchant wishing to do so
- The base and long can be altered freely but must not contradict with the settings
- Cord, wings, medallion, and stand settings can be altered
- A SHOW may be added, but item must have a base/long. SHOW can reference the custom settings.
- The special ambient will be done separately from other data points.
Current Settings:
- Cord: braided ataela cording (noun must be something cord-like)
- Wings: rose-grey sea silk (noun is always wings)
- Medallion: copper-caught zelflyr sphere (noun must be something medallion-like)
- Stand: rosewood (noun is always stand)
- Special Ambient: A twilight blue ataela yll'sulta adorned with zelflyr beads rustles gently. (This is a full sentence and will be an ambient when PLACEd)
Signature Verb Raffle
On opening night, a raffle will draw at midnight for two winners to obtain all three of the signature verbs. Then, throughout the weekend, different raffles will be offered for the same signature verbs individually. The raffle is in the workroom of The Wrap Around is is restricted to AELOTOI only.
