* the duration of the spell is extended by 60 seconds from its base 1200 second duration.
* the base [[attack strength]] and [[defensive strength]] bonus is increased by +1 for every 2 Cleric Base ranks above 7 to a maximum bonus of +15 at rank 27.  This bonus applies to both the caster and group members.
* the base [[bolt]] [[attack strength]] bonus is increased by +1 for every 2 Cleric Base ranks (up to level) above 27 to a maximum bonus of +51 at rank 99 at level 99.

:A simple way to determine the bolt AS bonus is to subtract 2 from the [[mana]] cost.
:Overtraining in [[Cleric Base]] spell ranks past the caster's [[level]] will provide no additional benefit.

==Group Mechanics==
If the caster is not leading the group, it is necessary to cast Benediction at the group leader. Maximum group AS/DS bonuses are +15.  While the spell initially benefits all members of the cleric's group, proximity to the cleric is necessary to maintain the benefit, as it is the strength of the cleric's conviction that bolsters their inherent abilities.  The game intermittently checks to ensure that a character is in the room with the cleric that initially cast Benediction and will end the spell if they are not.

==Mana Cost==
The base cost is 7 mana plus 1 additional mana per bonus point past rank 7. The maximum cost is 53 mana at level 99 with 99 spell ranks.
