There were strange happenings in the Broken Lands on the evening of August 4th. Some excerpts from talk on the amunet:

Scheindlin: "No one can travel to the moon anymore. The runes have been sealed."

Nimax: "'what????? sealed??"

Cobbeo: "Youve gotta be kidding Scheindlin?"

Setzier: "Mlord High Priest [[Draezir]] has severed the runes power. No Elanthians shall pass into the area known as the [[Broken Lands]]."

Jingleberry: "MC's runes vanished for awile.. but they came back durin a commune... not sure if the commune had anything to do with it though"

Kriztian: "Avatars in the MC, once again stay away!"

Luky: "There are deaders all over in Sheru with no help to aid them, no lives kept, no foggers. Elders needed in there to rescue."

Darlter: "'How bad are the avatars"

Nalax: "Are they making progress toward anywhere in particular?"

Cobbeo: "very bad...so stay out unless youve got the magic defense of a god...they werent too nice..dunno if they are still up in Sheru's but..there are alot of dead on the other side of the runes..not sure if there are enough clerics"

Then, Lady Sirinna sent me this account of her horrifying experience in the Sheruvian Temple. I thank her greatly for that.

Hunting in Sheruvian monastary, me and my hunting group comes across this particular strange Priest....

You see Lord Draezir Moltoniron the Sheruvian Priest.
He appears to be in his 120's, has long, braided white hair, grey eyes, and tanned skin.
He is in good shape.
He is holding a razor-sharp black veniom tiger-claw with crimson vaalin claws in his right hand and a crimson vaalin kite shield edged with veniom and covered with silvery runes in his left hand.
He is wearing a thin sky blue glaes key suspended from a thin silver mithril chain, a tightly-woven spidersilk sack, a faded leather shoulder satchel, some heavy black velvet robes sewn with veniom runes the color of warm blood, a hand-tooled veniom wrist sheath, an intricate crimson vaalin unholy symbol of Sheru, and a polished black ora sheath etched with an unholy symbol of Sheru.

Morningmoon waves to Draezir.
Draezir says, "You were warned..."
The Sheruvian initiate murmurs a prayer to Sheru.

Blasted into a thousand pieces your remains speed through a limitless void for several moments before you feel a tugging on your remains by some unseen force. You realize you are falling rapidly when abruptly your remains come to a crashing stop.

High above the Town Square a small speck begins to grow, after several moments it becomes apparent that some large object is speeding down! A local townswoman who has also seen this, runs away yelling, "THE SKY IS FALLING!" just as a massive gelatinous lump of flesh lands on the bench splattering everyone present with flesh and blood.

And, Lady Sirinna says that, though it was hard for her to hear what was going on, Lord Draezir spoke of [[Shar]]--a goddess of darkness at odds with Sheru. (Can anyone tell me more of her? I thought I knew those of darkness by name, at least, but had never heard of her.) That would seem to tie the situation in with the Meteor Swarm cast at Voln, a couple of weeks ago, by Azerea, a servant of Shar.
