==Summary==

* Adventurers gather at the Stumbling Pebble Bar II to discuss the snow falling on [[Four Winds Isle]].
* Greth mentions he is having young'uns work in his kitchen, inventing chores for them, in order for them to stay warm.
* Greth tells adventurers it hasn't snowed in many years and he's worried about the ability of the town to handle it.
* Greth says there's been on word of any of the meek from [[The Nazhor Chronicles]] and [[Ilsola]] is working on a book. [[Duvainiel]] is back in what she sees as her homeland and Selbi is reluctant to recall her.
* Greth explains that Mistress Selbi is in charge of the town and she comes in to the bar frequently. He also said that Socius is "otherwise engaged" and has a theory about the cause of the snow and that there's a reason we haven't had snow or natural disasters in a long time. He says he doesn't know what the reason is, but something has gone wrong. He also mentions that Socius is busy working on Selbi's plan.
* Socius is secretly there and watching the adventurers.
* Greth says the native people of the Isle, the Iyo, are dealing with divided loyalties. They had been in contact with Socius for a long time "but recently began to shun his attempts at communication."
* Greth explains that his focus is on the young people who live on the streets and alleys of Mist Harbor who are ill equipped to handle extended cold weather. He asks adventurers to keep their eyes open, "They are well hidden, but as the cold settles in, they will emerge, likely the worse for wear." He added, "I have Penre bringing around canteens of hot soup, but he has had less and less luck locating the ones we know of.
* Greth states that the militia building is nearly ready after Xilona asks if it could be a safe haven.
* Adventurers hear from Socius: A quiet voice ripples through the room, "The Flock are being dealt with, and Greth will have no shortage of funds to take care of any who might need it."  Before the last echo fades, a dark shape slips through the doors and out into the night.
* Adventurers volunteer for tasks to both assist the town in managing the colder temperatures and separately seek out the cause of the snow which seems quite unnatural.<section end=summary />

* Akenna will help Apsaras search the wilds, keep walks shoveled, and bring in food from the Elven Nations.
* Apsaras offers to talk to Jastev's birds and see if they know anything as well as to roam the wilds and look for things that are unusual.
* Juspera is assigned to take donations, buy and bring in dry wood from other towns, and keep it stocked in Gardenia Commons. She immediately begins collecting donations. 
* Khobra will be protecting balance.
* Darcena suggests that Kobane, who is an ice mage, walks the Isle to find any magical anomalies that would explain the weather patterns.
* Naamit mentions that she'd already been working on knitting blankets.
* Rinori will search the Elven Nations for appropriate herbs.
* Rohese offers to speak with the Firefly Villa about opening its doors to those in need of shelter. She also suggests opening Hale Hall.
* Sreka suggets the Guardians of Sunfist opening their doors and will cut down trees on the Isle and prepare them for drying and collect furs. Xanthium suggests that individuals also collect coconuts as they make effective charcoal. 
* Traiva offers to see about opening Paupers' annex for people needing warmth.
* Darcena reluctantly assigns Vatha to Gardenia Commons to oversee the donations coming in to the townsfolk, ensuring that they are separated into appropriate pile sand distributed. Vatha is also acquiring bear pelts for blankets.
* Darcena asks Xanthium to ingratiate herself amongst the townfolk and try to charm the people to find out where the young ones have gone.
* Darcena asks Xilona to be the go between for the group of adventurers and Greth. She will also check over incoming people for any healing that may need done before shelter is found for them.

Dried, cracked boards mingle with newer knotted pine planks as they spread across the floor from the swinging oak doors to the white oak bar.  Several half-cask chairs are arranged in circles around the room, their backs weathered and cracked, while plump couches face a fireplace that looks as if it has seen better days.  A scattering of cracked peanut shells litters the floor around an oversized bowl that is set upon a faded blue rug.  You also see a forlorn badland spirit that is flying around, a basket of sticks and Greth.

Xilona tucks a bristly black rat into a coarse burlap sack.

You surprisedly say, "Well hello."

Xilona holds up her hand and tilts it side to side in a so-so gesture.

You say, "Good to see you all."

Traiva flutters her wings at you.

Mistress Naamit just arrived.

Faerinn says, "Oh, I'm fine. Fine as the new fallen snow."

You nod in greeting at Naamit.

Naamit nods once.

Xilona just grabbed a wooden stick from the basket of sticks.

Xilona breaks a stick into pieces and tosses them into the fireplace.

Faerinn has an intoxicating melange of clementine, bergamot, and neroli lingering over his skin, rooted in a dark, exotic musk.
You take a quick appraisal of Faerinn and find that he has no apparent injuries.

Xilona just grabbed a wooden stick from the basket of sticks.

Xilona takes some wooden sticks and places them in the fireplace.  Using two of the smaller pieces, she rubs them until a tiny flame bursts out.  Placing the burning twigs among the prepared wood, she blows gently on them until the flames spread and grow.

Speaking to you, Faerinn asks, "I think I met you last night. So you're Rohese's friend too?"

Xilona just grabbed a wooden stick from the basket of sticks.

You ask, "Last night?"

Xilona takes a wooden stick and tosses it into the fire and watches as the flames leap higher.

Khobra glances at you.

Sreka says, "So we're all going to die."

Traiva smiles at Rohese.

Juspera says, "Is it not supposed to snow here."

Naamit turns around.

Juspera scratches her chin.

Naamit sits down next to Rohese.

You say, "The last time we started hearing and seeing odd things here on the Isle it was because Nazhor had gone out of whack and we were wildly swinging out of Balance."

Xilona walks toward Rohese.

Khobra glances between Rohese and yourself.

You nod in greeting at Rohese.

You say, "Because it was just snowing."

Khobra glances between Naamit and yourself.

You frown at Greth.

Xilona winks at Rohese.

Rohese giggles softly at Xilona.

Juspera starts chuckling at you!

Traiva takes a drink from her rosy hibiscus metheglin.

Rohese just nudged Xilona.

Xilona appears to be trying hard not to grin.

You say, "Ah, yes."

You nod to Greth.

Now and again, some resin hidden in the wood is ignited by the flames, and the fire snaps and crackles loudly.  The sweet smell of the resin permeates the air and fills your nostrils.

Speaking to Greth, Naamit says, "You should be more concerned about what's out there -- that will make its way into town for resources."

You say, "Has anyone heard anything from Elspie, Aahlara, Kheelin, or, uh..."

Xilona says, "We're certainly not dressed for this kind of weather."

You ask, "That other one?"

Speaking softly to Xilona, Rohese whispers aloud, "It's a little warm in here, I'm dressed for the snow."

Rohese removes the hat from atop her head.
Rohese gently brushes her cool silver hair away from her eyes and, with a deft twist of her wrist, tucks it behind one ear.

Speaking to you, Naamit asks, "Melody?"

You nod at Naamit.

Speaking quietly to Greth, Crime says, "Indeed, death comes slowly to those in need."

Xilona looks over at you and shakes her head.

You surprisedly ask, "Was that actually her name?"

Xilona says, "I have not."

You tug at the fingers of your bone-toggled gloves to remove them, and then carefully tuck them together in one hand.

Khobra glances at Greth.

Juspera takes a drink from her smoky copper whiskey.

Juspera flaps a mittened hand.

Speaking to you, Naamit says, "No, but in lieu of something more fitting, Melodies are the sound of music."

Apsaras says, "Nae heard even a whisperin."

Juspera sighs.

You say, "Then we can probably be assured it has nothing to do with the different worlds."

Speaking to Rohese, Xilona says, "Greth made sure to make it cozy in here."

Xanthium just arrived.

The sound of the wind whistling comes from outside.

Sparks shoot up from the flames to dance in the hot air above the fire.  They glow brightly for a time and then slowly burn up and fly away as ash on the wind.  You feel this is a commentary on life itself, and it saddens you for a moment.

Xanthium smiles.

Juspera grins at Xanthium.

Juspera lightly pats a plump overstuffed couch.

Xilona mutters something about probably.

Xanthium grins at Juspera.

Naamit takes a drink from her black coffee.

Xilona leans against a plump overstuffed couch.

You say, "Surely it can't be natural."

Xanthium nods slowly at Naamit.

You act puzzled.

Xilona agrees with you.

Naamit surreptitiously glances at Xanthium.

Faerinn belches.
