Fireside Supplies

[Fireside Supplies - 8212760]
Sleeping furs are tidily piled against the back wall of the domed tent, while a firepit at the center is surrounded by various cooking stones and baskets of food. Whittling tools are carefully arranged upon racks lashed to the walls of the tent, their polished ends gleaming in the ambient light of both the nearby fire and the frosted globes that are attached to the support posts of the ceiling. Near the exit, a low round table is stacked with wares. You also see a small wooden sign and a small wicker basket.

Locksmehr River, Encampment

[Locksmehr River, Encampment - 8214735]
Situated at the very edge of the partially frozen river, the small clearing is a combination of gravel and tufts of broken grass blades. A snow-lined gravel trail leads down to the water's edge where river reeds grow amid round stones worn smooth by the flowing water. Set back from the walking space, a domed sinew and hide tent and a birch bark-sided hut have been built among the sassafras and hickory.

[Locksmehr River, Encampment - 8214734]
Carved benches depicting wild beasts ring a banked fire at the center of a clearing near the bend of the river. A small awning to the southwest provides shelter for a communal kitchen and wooden larder that is filled with a variety of provisions and supplies. Stacked firewood sits in a wrought iron cradle-like structure nearby.
Obvious exits: northeast, east, southeast, south, northwest

On the wooden larder you see: a sugar-crusted square of pear cobbler, a bowl of split pea and ham soup, a roasted chunk of spiced mutton, a steaming mug of butter pecan coffee, a warm cup of fragrant mulled wine, and an oversized mug of hot cocoa.

Locksmehr River, Encampment

[Locksmehr River, Encampment - 8214738]
Thin curls of colorful wood, piles of sawdust, and various bundles of bright wire rest within the shelter of small awnings amid worktables and a variety of benches. Bittersweet vines mingle with sapling sassafras along the edge of the small clearing and provide a bright orange color to the otherwise brown, green, and grey landscape. Situated amid the workstations is a domed sinew and hide tent decorated with bright ceramic tiles.

Lashed frames rest upon either side of the small pathway that leads in and out of the area, their interiors strung with elk or caribou hides in various stages of tanning. Barrels filled with noxious substances flank the entrance to a domed sinew and hide tent, while to the east of its entrance a chalky, white substance stains the leaves of low-rising bushes, likely the result of discarded alum.

The Hide and Fur Depot

[The Hide and Fur Depot - 8212758]
Stretching across the center of the tent and bound to support poles in the ceiling, wooden racks of heavy garments occupy most of the traversable space. Frosted globes in bright white provide an almost daylight-like illumination within the dark walls, while small braziers fashioned of tiny bowls set within piles of glittering sand provide a comfortable warmth. A small wooden sign rests next to a small wicker basket near the exit.

Locksmehr River, Encampment

[Locksmehr River, Encampment - 8214736]
Nestled amid wild boxwood and blueberry bushes, a domed sinew and hide tent is flanked by a pair of dormant torches. Wild river grasses stand out at odd angles along a single muddy track that leads to the center of the encampment, the tamped down and broken blades a testament to recent foot traffic. Various colored tufts of fleece cling to nearby branches and sway as the breeze of the river moves them about.

Knit One, Punch Two

[Knit One, Punch Two - 8212757]
Frosted globes in bright white provide a soft incandescent light to the small tent, illuminating all visible surfaces and casting shadows upon the fur-covered ground. Clusters of woven containers are either arranged along the edge of the walls or dangle from the support posts, their brightly colored contents spilling from them in a wild array of hues and textures. A single loom sits under the highest point of the tent and is surrounded by tufts of fleece.

Locksmehr River, Frozen Patch

[Locksmehr River, Frozen Patch - 8214739]
River water sloshes against a muddy shore riddled with gravel and smooth stones, the telltale tracks of small crafts evident in the mud. Tall reeds obscure the land to the south but part to provide an almost panoramic view of the Locksmehr River with its steadily flowing current. A fur-covered rough oak bench rests to one side of a snow-lined gravel trail, its legs managing to stay mud free despite its proximity to the river.
