IMAGE PATROL QUEUE

Map Image At Risk For Deletion

Hello, Wickedness111. You recently uploaded a map image to the wiki, File:Sailors Grief.jpg, that appears to violate the Gswiki:Policy for Copyrights, specifically for Maps. Maps may only be uploaded by the original creator or, in certain circumstances, the editor who updated the map to account for new areas. There does not appear to be any statement on the map image to indicate that you have edited it or when. This is required for all map images that have been modified by someone other than the original map creator. I have flagged the map image for moderator review and deletion.

If this file is an original, unedited map image, it may only be uploaded by the original map creator. If you have made edits to the map, then you will need to indicate this per the copyright section on maps and reupload it with that text included both on the image itself as well as in the image file comments. If you need examples on how to do this, Gswiki:Style guide/Images has copy/paste code examples for different image types. If you need instructions on how to do each step, Help:Images goes into detail on how to edit image files and how to display them with captions on articles.

If an image file update is not added within 7 days, this image will be deleted from the wiki. Please do not remove the {{moddelete}} template from the image. Another moderator or I will remove that template after your updates have been reviewed to ensure that they meet Gswiki:Policy requirements. If you have any questions about this process or need more information about the updated policy for maps, please reach out to the wiki team on the Gemstone Discord forum's wiki thread. Thank you for understanding. HOST-GSFAMINE (talk) 09:28, 18 December 2025 (CST)

Hello, SHRIMPYSIREN. You recently uploaded a few images to the wiki that are missing some information required by Gswiki:Policy. The images flagged are File:Marrow.png, and File:Marrowt.png. Your images are missing some of the following information:

Who created the image? If that person is not you, was permission granted by the artist to upload it? If AI imaging software was used to create it, what is the name of that software? If AI imaging software was used to create it, must be in the image description for inclusion in Category:AI artwork. Specifically, File:Marrow.png is missing all of the above information, and File:Marrowt.png is missing the creator/artist information.

Please see Gswiki:Policy#Copyrights for more information about the image policy and its requirement to note image creators, what AI imaging software was used (if any), and if permission was granted by the creator to upload the image to the wiki. This information needs to be all images uploaded to the Gswiki as well as on all articles using them. In addition, all images using AI software in their creation are required to be included in Category:AI artwork. All articles using a moderator-flagged image will also need to have their captions updated to include this required information.

If you need examples on how to do this, Gswiki:Style guide/Images has copy/paste code examples for different image types. If you need instructions on how to do each step, Help:Images goes into detail on how to edit image files and how to display them with captions on articles.

If that information is not added within 7 days, any moderator-flagged images will deleted from the wiki. Please do not remove the {{moddelete}} template from any flagged image file. Another moderator or I will remove that template after your updates have been reviewed to ensure that they meet Gswiki:Policy requirements. If you have any questions about this process or need more information about the updated policy for images, please reach out to the wiki team on the Gemstone Discord forum's wiki thread. Thank you for understanding. HOST-GSFAMINE (talk) 10:25, 17 December 2025 (CST)
