About

Jourwen spends most her time helping bind adventurer's souls back to their bodies while following Ronan through the guild's teachings and dreams that she believes are sent by the Dream Lord himself. After an encounter from dolls during her visit to Solhaven, she'd been touched by something that will sometimes show up in her drawings without Jourwen noticing.

History

Early Years

Jourwen's mother was a courtesan that lived in the woods just outside of Highmount, she'd secretly meet with higher ups in society that didn't wish to advertise that they were visiting a woman for nights of passion. Shortly after Jourwen was five years of age, her mother sent her to River's Rest to the Cleric's Guild after realizing her daughter was having vivid dreams that'd sometimes come true. After she'd sent Jourwen away, the last dream Jourwen had came true where her mother passed from an unknown disease.

Jourwen spent most her early years studying at the River's Rest Cleric Guild until one day during meditation, she had a vivid dream of a giantkin lying in a snowy field outside the town of Icemule, dying. She'd ran to Icemule immediately, using the mage's portal system and found the giantkin, right where she'd seen him in her dream. Not knowing the proper incantations for binding a soul, she prayed and found the link she was searching for and brought the giantkin back. Turns out, that giantkin became her closest companion and fellow Ronan follower, Gedeon.

Events

Becoming a Doll Priestess

Jourwen and Gedeon began travelling together, visiting Ronan shrines and helping the local Adventurer's Guild at the towns they visit. After spending time in Solhaven, Jourwen and Gedeon were visited by some dolls, realizing they meant them harm, they rushed to the closest Ronan shrine. The dolls taunted them, that the Lord of Dreams wouldn't be able to save them and soon the dolls attacked. They learned that the dolls had severed their ties to their master, the dolls believing their old master weak. After the dolls had attacked several towns, their maker appeared with a solution to the dolls through a ritual, gems, an incantation, and blood drawn from a willing victim would dispel the dolls. After talk among the other adventurer's, Jourwen took on the duty of doing the incantation and offering her blood that would banish the dolls while Gedeon stood by and did his best to protect her. Though Jourwen fell, she finished the incantations and Calauria took Jourwen's blood offering and the dolls were banished.

After the events, a pin found it's way into Jourwen's possession, whether it be through malice or chance, seems to have began a slow change within Jourwen.
