[The Spirits Within, Melancholy -]
Frames of lacquered bamboo form the body of the structure, rising high to meet the lengths of pastel-dyed silks that drape across decorated alcoves set within recess of the pentagonal design. Muted taupe rugs, crafted from soft wool, muffle the ambient noises of the outside, leaving only the soft crackle of lanterns casting beams of light towards the northern recess. Faint wisps of incense caress the offerings laid bare before a grey marble statue, fading as they reach the open air.

Welcome to The Spirits Within, where a select number of shrouds have been procured for your purchase, each one containing the essence of a spirit.  Please feel free to wander the shop and carefully examine each statue, as they all contain important clues about the spirit that resides within their shrouds!
It is important to note that only a single shroud may be worn at a time, and also that there will be no exchanges or refunds offered on these shrouds.  Make your selection carefully!

On the wide birch counter you see: a shadowy onyx letter, a faded ultramarine tome, a small viridian scroll, a faded grey certificate, a muted silver certificate and a faded gold certificate.

[The Spirits Within, Mania -]
The pastel silks suspending from the bamboo frame fray slightly across the speckled taupe rugs covering the dirt beneath the shop, whipping wildly as the wind stirs the room. Steel-forged lanterns cast sharp, disjointed patterns across the body of a red-streaked marble statue, the scent of heated metal intermingling with the remnants of smoldering incense that litter the statue's feet. Unintelligible markings and punctures mar the surface of the recess, the marks covered by hand-smeared clumps of ash.

On the red-streaked marble statue you see: a diaphanous blue-black chiffon shroud edged in silver piping and a delicate pale ivory shroud edged with rose-colored tassels.

[The Spirits Within, Fervent -]
Wood and silk construct the framework of the room, the simplistic design centered upon a single lantern highlighting the carved stone recess against the far wall. Symbols have been interwoven in raised threads across the taupe rugs, the design echoed in the wood that surrounds the pale cerulean marble statue set within the niche, indiscernible from years and hands. A small altar carved from riverstone sits below the statue, the incense set atop burning steadily as the smoke rises to the heavens.

cerulean marble statue The stout form of the dwarven statue stands defiantly within the recess, his hands clasped together in a motion of perpetual prayer. A strand of wooden prayerbeads are wrapped along one arm, the other covered in a sigil-etched vambrace of bright steel. Beneath his feet, various religious symbols and vials of colorful glass have been proffered by unknown guests, nestled between a battleworn mace and a pelt of thick bear fur.

On the cerulean marble statue you see: a voluminous ash velvet shroud trailing thin black ribbons and a filmy pale grey gauze shroud limned with violet fringe.

[The Spirits Within, Caution -]
The pastel silks draped against the high-arcing frames form shadowed veils across the room, the sounds of foot traffic muffled by the thick wool rugs littering the ground. The dimly lit lanterns illuminate the deeply carved recess, partially obscured by the heavy haze of incense smoke obscuring the area. Set within the recess is an ashen marble statue, the figure enshrouded by a cloak of black velvet.

ashen marble statue The mid-sized humanoid statue gazes out from beneath its velvet shroud, the masculine features chiseled to appear alert, his arms held up to guard against an invisible foe. A myriad of markings have been carved into his skin, then rubbed with kohl to imitate tattoos, the designs leading downward to a noose tightly grasped within his hand. Beneath his feet, a coil of rope and small sharply honed blades have been proferred by unknown guests, nestled between small pouches filled with silver coins.

On the ashen marble statue you see: a delicate lavender damask shroud interwoven with cerulean accents and a sapphire blue dimity shroud painted with graveblossoms.

[The Spirits Within, Reckoning -]
The lattice-framed bamboo has been interwoven with the pastel silks to allow ease of movement within the room, the well-brushed wool rugs set parallel to the planks that cover the floor. The polished metal lanterns stand in neat rows beneath an immaculate white marble statue, the lantern flames quietly burning alongside a similarly designed incense burner. Wrought gold leaves encircle the recess, the filigree-like design laying stark against the pale stones.

immaculate white marble statue The tall elven-like statue stands uniformly upright, his arms held out with a shield and spear at the ready, his eyes scanning the room. The marble of the statue's skin has been marred to depict wounds of battle, one of which has been bandaged with a handkerchief embroidered by a border of roses. Beneath his feet, a crude token of elven heraldry and a broken vaalin locket have been proferred by unknown guests, nestled between ribbon-adorned medals.

On the immaculate white marble statue you see: a layered pale crimson shroud painted with mournblooms and a wispy emerald flyrsilk shroud pinned with an onyx cameo.
