The Order of the Sky and Cloud
The Order of the Sky and Cloud is an academic sect originating out of Eloth-Ra. Its members tend to focus on studies outside Atan Irith and are encouraged to travel widely before submitting any dissertations. They have a reputation for thrill-seeking, and their hands-on approach to study has given the Order a slightly higher than average casualty rate for academics.
Affectionately known as "the Azures," masters of the Order of the Sky and Cloud wear azure-hued atanika lined with ivory silk when in conclave, representing the sky and clouds from which they take their name.
The Order's symbol is an ebon quill piercing an ivory cloud on a field of azure, and its motto is "Valati a eloth" - "Knowledge takes to the skies."
