The DIRECTI (colloquially: DIRECTION or DIR) verb allows players to receive automated movement suggestions to move to points of interest within a town. The directions for the next step take about 5-7 seconds after moving a room, thus repeatedly sending the DIR (LOCATION) command every room is faster. The directions will also continue until either the character reaches the destination (I knew you could make it!) or DIR STOP is entered.

Directions - Finding your way around Elanthia can be tricky at first. Fortunately DIRECTION can help. Type DIR alone for a list of destinations served by Direction. Be aware there are tens of thousands of rooms in Gemstone and only a very small proportion are served by the DIRECTION command. If you leave town consider traveling with a friend, downloading a map or going to the travel office to hire a guide. There is no further help available on this topic.
