Oh and going forward, I don't want anyone updating my page. It would be nice if I could restrict that. --[[User:JEMAH|JEMAH]] ([[User talk:JEMAH|talk]]) 12:48, 15 May 2025 (CDT)

:Hi, JEMAH. Thanks for letting me know about the image. I have deleted it from the wiki for you. In the future, if you decide that you no longer want an image on the wiki, you can add <nowiki>{{delete}}</nowiki> as part of the image file's description, plus state why on that file's talk/discussion page. This will flag the image for moderator review for deletion. This can also be done for any articles, whether they are created in error or are character pages you no longer want on the wiki, such as ones accidentally left behind after renaming a character and creating a new character page.
:As for permissions for editing character pages, only the account holder has permission to do so per [[Gswiki:Policy]]. Any substantial edits of character page contents are flagged by moderators when there is no permission statement from the apparent account holder. If the flagged edits are found to have been made without permission, they are reverted or deleted. You do not need to do anything further to prevent another account from editing your character pages. However, if you choose to give permission to any other account to edit any character page, you will need to include a statement on that character page's talk/discussion tab, followed by <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>, stating that you have given specific accounts permission to edit it. This is specific to each character page. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns about editing character pages. Images at Risk for Deletion

Hello, JEMAH. You recently uploaded several images to the wiki that are missing information required by Gswiki:Policy. The image files are File:Gemlynn.png, File:Juhle.JPG, File:Juhle.png, File:Juhle2.png, File:Karystal.png, and File:Karystina.webp. Your images are missing the following information:

  • Who created the image?
  • If that person is not you, was permission granted by the artist to upload it?
  • If AI imaging software was used to create it, what is the name of that software?
  • If AI imaging software was used to create it, [[Category:AI artwork]] must be in the image description for inclusion in Category:AI artwork.

Please see Gswiki:Policy#Copyrights for more information about the image policy and its requirement to note image creators, what AI imaging software was used (if any), and if permission was granted by the creator to upload the image to the wiki. This information needs to be on each image as well as on all articles using them. In addition, all images using AI software in their creation are required to be included in Category:AI artwork. All articles using these images will also need to have their captions updated to include this required information.

If you need examples on how to do this, Gswiki:Style guide/Images has copy/paste code examples for different image types. If you need instructions on how to do each step, Help:Images goes into detail on how to edit image files and how to display them with captions on articles.

If that information is not added within 7 days, these images will be deleted from the wiki. Please do not remove the {{moddelete}} template from the images. Another moderator or I will remove that template after your updates have been reviewed to ensure that they meet Gswiki:Policy requirements. If you have any questions about this process or need more information about the updated policy for images, please reach out to the wiki team on the Gemstone Discord forum's wiki thread. Thank you for understanding.

In addition, I noticed that another account edited the character page for Karystal (prime) that you created. Looking at the edit history, it looks like the other account was just fixing an image display issue and a grammatical error, and that you have since made further modifications to your character page. If you have given permission CLARGH or any other account to edit this character page, you will need to document that permission has been given by you on its talk page, Talk:Karystal (prime). Please don't forget to add ~~~~ after your permissions statement to automatically insert a "signature". This will need to be done for any character page where you are granting permission to another account to edit it. Future edits by accounts other than yours on this or your other character pages will be moderator flagged without a permissions statement. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 09:58, 14 May 2025 (CDT)

Hi again, JEMAH. Thank you very much for so quickly updating those six images that I reached out to you about yesterday! As a reminder, in the future please do not remove the {{moddelete}} template from any flagged image when you are updating coypright information required by Gswiki:Policy. This is very important as it is used for other moderators or myself to review updates.
There is one more image that you uploaded in that same timeframe that I am flagging today, which is a bit of an unusual situation on top of it missing the same information required by Gswiki:Policy. The image is File:Fel and Kary.jpg, and it is not currently used on any articles. You uploaded the original image. Another account, CLARGH, uploaded a new version of the image with what appears to be some modifications made to it plus a duplicate version of the edited image. Because there is now a duplicate image on the wiki, I have reverted the updated file and I am deleting the duplicate version that exists as an update to your original image upload. I am reaching out to CLARGH about the image as well.
Now that the image is reverted back to your original file, it will need to have the following missing information added to it:
  • Who created the image?
  • If that person is not you, was permission granted by the artist to upload it?
  • If AI imaging software was used to create it, [[Category:AI artwork]] must be in the image description for inclusion in Category:AI artwork.
Please see Gswiki:Policy#Copyrights for more information about the image policy and its requirement to note image creators, what AI imaging software was used (if any), and if permission was granted by the creator to upload the image to the wiki. This information needs to be on each image as well as on all articles using them. In addition, all images using AI software in their creation are required to be included in Category:AI artwork. All articles using theis image will also need to have their captions updated to include this required information.
If that information is not added within 7 days, this image will be deleted from the wiki. Thank you again for understanding. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 10:25, 15 May 2025 (CDT)

Honestly, that couple image can be deleted. Neither of us is using it and won't be. Is there a way to delete images (or pages for that matter)? There are more than one image for a character and I don't need them all. If not, it's okay. I had also renamed one of my characters and didn't know you could move the page to rename it so I wound up creating a whole new page. JEMAH (talk) 12:45, 15 May 2025 (CDT)

Hi, JEMAH. Thanks for letting me know about the image. I have deleted it from the wiki for you. In the future, if you decide that you no longer want an image on the wiki, you can add {{delete}} as part of the image file's description, plus state why on that file's talk/discussion page. This will flag the image for moderator review for deletion. This can also be done for any articles, whether they are created in error or are character pages you no longer want on the wiki, such as ones accidentally left behind after renaming a character and creating a new character page.
As for permissions for editing character pages, only the account holder has permission to do so per Gswiki:Policy. Any substantial edits of character page contents are flagged by moderators when there is no permission statement from the apparent account holder. If the flagged edits are found to have been made without permission, they are reverted or deleted. You do not need to do anything further to prevent another account from editing your character pages. However, if you choose to give permission to any other account to edit any character page, you will need to include a statement on that character page's talk/discussion tab, followed by ~~~~, stating that you have given specific accounts permission to edit it. This is specific to each character page. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns about editing character pages. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 10:41, 20 May 2025 (CDT)
