This samite standard is an heraldic item than can inspire the members of the user's group, providing benefits to them. It can be attached to a polearm or to a back-worn container.

Morale Effect:
The standard has two special features: once per day, when waved, it provides a +5 attack strength general bonus and a bonus to stamina and mana recovery that last for one hour. These bonuses are applied to all visible, living members of the user's group. Once per minute the recovery bonus provides a minimum of one and a maximum of three stamina and mana points, based on the Influence and Aura of the user.
When this feature is activated, the user makes a default exclamation. This can be replaced with a custom exclamation, which can be altered by merchants. The exclamation can also be muted.

The standard will use the default exclamation of:
"In the name of the [EMBLEM] and to the everlasting glory of all ye followers!"

But the exclamation will not be used until the standard has an emblem applied to it.

Additionally, when waved at something (not including players), the standard will apply an emblem of that something to itself, if it doesn't already have an emblem. This can be done only once, but it can be altered by a merchant.

Rally Effect:
The standard can also rally group members. When raised, it gives them a chance to stand if prone, sitting or kneeling, even if they are incapacitated. The user is excluded from this benefit.

The standard can be rolled to furl and unfurl it. It provides its benefits only when unfurled.

The standard can be placed "on" a polearm or a back-worn container, but it only activates any of its features when it is unattached and in-hand.

Note: While more than one of these can be deployed at the same time (whether by the group leader or by a member), the morale effect of only one can be active at a time.

Verbs:
PULL: Removes the standard when it is attached to an item.
PUT ON: Attaches the standard to a polearm or back-worn container.
RAISE: Activates the rally effect.
ROLL: Furls/unfurls the standard. It must be unfurled to activate it.
RUB: Fluff: You run a hand over the standard in a quick inspection.
SALUTE: Fluff: You hold the standard high and honor it with a salute.
TURN: Toggles muting of the exclamation when the morale effect is activated.
WAVE: Activates the morale effect, and it has a one-time use of applying an emblem to the standard.

Alteration:
This item is a blank and must not be modified in any way. Once an emblem has been applied to it, using the WAVE verb, it can be modified normally. Also, its special features can't be used until an emblem has been applied to it.

Also, its special features can't be used until an emblem has been applied to it.
, but only when it is not attached to something.

The morale effect of the standard is available for use. Wave the standard to activate it.

The rally feature of the standard is available for use. Raise the standard to activate it.
