Below is a table describing each rank of the [[Lock Mastery]] [[Rogue Guild]] skill. Each rank requires 125 points.

‘’‘General Info:’’’

- ‘’‘Rank’’’ is the number of ranks you ‘’‘currently’’’ have. (The number you see when you type GLD.)
- Bold tasks are new for that rank.
- Picking RT, up to -14, will not go below 5 seconds (unless it was already 0). Picking RT at -15 can go down to 4 seconds.
- Special boxes are boxes you may want to save up before hand in preparation for a specific rank. Quantity assumes no trading tasks, and is approximate.
- In addition to the special boxes, you will also need approximately 20 ‘decent’ boxes and 15 ‘tough’ boxes per rank.

‘’‘Save Your Trapped Boxes for Later:’’’ For wedge and trap component reps, you will need a ‘’‘LOT’’’ of trapped boxes. Start saving them ‘’‘NOW’’’. If you think LM is difficult now, it’s 1000 times harder when you’re doing component reps. Save those traps!

- You’ll need about 85 plated boxes.
- You’ll need about 200 assorted jaws, needle, springs, tumbler (fuser), dark crystal, sphere, cloud vial and fire vial traps.
- Join a CHE House, if only for the extra locker space!
- If you’re premium, use ALL of your lockers. Use other characters just to hold the boxes for you.
- Needle, jaws, dark crystal, cloud vial and (sometimes) fire goo vial traps can be picked through without setting them off. Pick the lock, empty the box, and save the box for component reps later. Then they take up only 1 spot in your locker, instead of 2 to 4 spots.
- ‘’‘Note:’’’ Fire goo traps will sometimes go off, even when you successfully pick the lock.

‘’‘Lockpick Info:’’’ Have a favorite pick? Forget about it. You’ll want to use the lowest possible pick whenever possible, since it allows you to get reps from much easier locks. LM is insanely difficult as it is; if you insist on always picking with vaalin, it will be 100 times harder. Don’t worry about breaking those cheap ‘lowest possible’ picks. Broken picks work even better for reps! After too many breaks, however, a pick won’t be usable for reps. Time to replace it.
