Wyrwood is thought to be a cousin to the willow tree. It has a deep taproot which accounts for its ability to live a good distance from a source of water, as it taps into an underground water source. Wyrwood is usually used only for ranged weapons due to its harmful corrosive effects on the metals used in the crafting of a shield or staff.
