Water seeps from sandstone block walls creating murky pools on a packed dirt floor, while a variety of basins and tubs collect water dripping from the high ceiling. Draped from a thick beam overhead, a canvas tarpaulin shields a grey driftwood cabinet, keeping the linens within dry. A clothesline is strung from an aged oak mantel, a pair of socks dangling just beyond the reach of the flames from a modest fire. You also see a glass-front display and a spiraling stairway.

Rub-a-dub-dub, Stairway

Warped and rotting from constant water damage, the spiraling stairway winds up and up to a trapdoor in the ceiling overhead. A collection of glass jars and clay pots are stacked on narrow shelves that line the sandstone walls, while myriad tubs, basins, and buckets hang from some rusty hooks. Torches lighting the stairway splutter and sizzle as water droplets threaten to cast the treacherous flight into darkness.

A view of the verdant, water-soaked landscape is interrupted by thick perse vines creeping over the exterior sandstone blocks and translucent glaes windows set at regular intervals around the entire room. A small oaken table surrounded by mismatched chairs offers meager provisions, the bread loaves stale and the water jug nearly empty. Stacked along the wall, a pile of torches and kindling stand ready to signal any signs of distress. You also see a trapdoor.
