Officers can customize titles, but these titles **must be associated with the officer positions.** This is not an opportunity for a PC to select a custom pre-title option. It is a custom pre-title option that is associated with a specific officer role. Some Houses have been updating titles every time an officer changes, and some have been updating that title's power if they want that person to move into a different role in the organization. This is VERY confusing both from a controller perspective, but also and more importantly from a member perspective.

The CHE Officer Guide formerly housed on an external website has been moved to the wiki. I'm still in the process of tweaking formatting and such, and there are one or two pages I still need to copy over, but that should be completed very shortly. Please start referring to the wiki instead of the website: https://gswiki.play.net/CHE_Officer_Guide

Announcement:
After review of a few processes, we're making some updates. Let me start out by saying *DON'T PANIC!* These are not the broad, sweeping changes like the MHO changes.

Officer Titles
CHEs have the ability to customize their officer titles. I am clarifying and formalizing this process. The CHE Officer Guide will be updated with this as well.

Houses have up to 10 officer slots. There are 4 levels of "officer power" -- Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and No Powers. From a technical standpoint, only Chairman and Treasurer titles have specific specialties they can do in-game (Chairman powers are required for inductions and investing, treasurers can handle the accounts). A House must have at a minimum 1 Chair, 1 Treasurer, 1 Co-Chair ("co" positions have the same behind-the-scene powers) and a 4th position that can be either a Secretary, Chair, or Treasurer position.

New Requirements:

1. Houses must define their custom titles and their roles on their player wiki section so members all have an easy place to go to find out what each role means. As officers, please go check this ASAP for your Houses!

2. Houses can request changes once a year with their normal quarterly request. It will cost 10 IPs to change/update custom officer titles, but you can update as many of them as you like with that single request/charge.

3. Positions will be listed on the plaques in this order: Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Co-Chair, (Other Co-Positions if applicable), (Other non-powered positions if applicable). This will take some re-configuring of how they are organized behind the scenes, so it's on my list of things to do, but it may not be right away. Once it is done, however, it can help members tell at a glance in-game who is in what role also.

Note: As a one-time courtesy, if you realize your custom titles are not in alignment with how you would like to finalize this for your House, I will update them for you. Just submit them on the next quarterly report (2nd Quarter 2023) and include the explanations.

Pantries
Pantries are an excellent resource for your events, but creating food is also a time and resource-intensive process. Given that, I'm putting some extra parameters around food requests.

Changes

  1. Pantries are capped at 100 items. If you have greater than this, you are grandfathered in with what you have.
  2. You can request pantry additions once a year, up to 10 items. These should be submitted on your normal quarterly report. If you are over 100 items or if the submission would put you over 100 items, you must also include a list of items you want removed to keep you at 100 items (or at the total # of items you had when grandfathered).
  3. If for some reason you need a very specific food for an event, you can still submit this under the Influence Guide for Events, but it will not also go into the pantry. You can request to put it in your pantry during your next annual submission. Please note that this should not be used to circumvent the pantry process, and I'll be keeping a close eye on this to ensure it's not abused. Overall, you should be using your pantry to cater your events.

Prize Closets
The original intent of prize closets was to house trophies and trinkets and commemorative items for events. Obviously, over the years this has expanded as have the amount of items in the closets.

Changes

  1. Prize Closets are capped at 100 items. If you have greater than this, you are grandfathered in with what you have.
  2. You can request prize closet additions once a year, up to 10 items. These should be submitted on your normal quarterly report. If you are over 100 items or if the submission would put you over 100 items, you must also include a list of items you want removed to keep you at 100 items (or at the total # of items you had when grandfathered).

Note
Please note I will also be reviewing the offerings you can select and confirming with script owners that they still wish to have these offered. Overall, this shouldn't impact pre-existing prize closet items however, just items going forward.

Wiki Update
The CHE Officer Guide formerly housed on an external website has been moved to the wiki.
