Shades of Spring

Stalks of grass sprout amid pastel woven silk mats that have been used to create a makeshift floor. Ribs of ashwood support the heavy velvet of the structure, their surfaces etched with butterflies and moths in flight. To either side of the entrance are a pair of wire-framed forms, one of silver and one of gold. Tied back with a silver ribbon, a pale silk tent flap leads to a second room.

On the silver wire figure you see: a soft powder blue silk shirt with pearl-buttoned cuffs, some fitted slate twill trousers, and a back-slit longcoat of smoky blue and rose bourde.

Walls of grey-green velvet drape to the ground, weighted with pillows of embroidered silk at their edges. A carved mistwood table nestles at the foot of a spiraling imflass rack, with a white ash desk beside them. On the polished wooden surface rests a silvery moth-embossed sign, displaying the image of a vivid green insect with tapered wings. Tied back with a silver ribbon, a pale silk tent flap leads to the front room.
