In addition, I noticed that you created [[Template:Author]] but have not used it. This appears to be a template that lists two guides that you authored and is not intended for everyone to use. Templates should only be created if the intent is for multiple pages and multiple users to use them. Can you clarify what you intend to do with this template or if it was created in error? If it was created in error, you can either let me know by responding or by editing the template and placing <nowiki>{{delete}}</nowiki> on it to let another moderator or I know that you are requesting it be deleted from the wiki. |

Lastly, I saw that you have sections of varying length about Lich scripts in the four guides you recently authored. These four articles are [[Experience Guide]], [[Guide for the Recently Departed]], [[Introduction to Spirit Beasts]], and [[Tatterclaws' Guide for New and Returning Players]]. [[Gswiki:Policy]] has a section specific to Lich-related articles, which can be viewed at [[Gswiki:Policy#Lich script pages]]. While Lich-related articles are permitted on the wiki, they must follow specific steps to remain on the wiki as Lich is a third-party software that is not maintained by Simutronics. All Lich-related articles must start with Lich: as their title and must include <nowiki>{{3rd-party}}</nowiki> at the top. Some of your guides appear to be more Lich-focused than others. Unless the Lich-focused portions of the articles are modified, I will treat them each as Lich-related articles, which will include moving them to an appropriate page title and adding the <nowiki>{{3rd-party}}</nowiki> template. |

I will review all articles referenced above in 7 days and take the steps I outlined at that time. :Thank you for your updates to those pages! I have deleted the two articles that you had flagged and moved the four remaining ones to which you added the <nowiki>{{3rd-party}}</nowiki> template so that they begin with "Lich:". Thank you again for your contributions to the wiki. [[User:HOST-GSKEBECHET|HOST-GSKEBECHET]] ([[User talk:HOST-GSKEBECHET|talk]]) 08:51, 16 July 2024 (CDT) |

Recent Edits
Hi there, PSAMMEAD. While reviewing recent edits to the wiki, I noticed that you created two pages with identical content, DeathGuide and Guide for the Recently Departed. Based on its edit history, the newest version appears to be Guide for the Recently Departed, although both guides are linked from different articles that were created or edited by you. Unless I hear from you otherwise, I will delete the older article, DeathGuide, so that the most recent article, Guide for the Recently Departed, is the version that remains on the wiki.
In addition, I noticed that you created Template:Author but have not used it. This appears to be a template that lists two guides that you authored and is not intended for everyone to use. Templates should only be created if the intent is for multiple pages and multiple users to use them. Can you clarify what you intend to do with this template or if it was created in error? If it was created in error, you can either let me know by responding or by editing the template and placing {{delete}} on it to let another moderator or I know that you are requesting it be deleted from the wiki.
As you appear to be new to editing the Gswiki, I recommend taking a look at the Gswiki:Style guide if you haven't already. It, and its various linked in-depth style guides, all have excellent advice on editing the Gswiki specifically as well as wiki editing in general. As one example, Guide for the Recently Departed appears to have a lot of broken links to pages that actually exist but are just set up incorrectly on the document; you attempt to link to SYMBOL OF PRESERVATION, however the article is actually Symbol of Preservation. In addition, the style guide recommends that any commands utilize the format of {{boldmono|VERB}} for game commands when they are written out as part of a standard article. This standardizes how verbs or commands appear so it is much easier for users to understand that the text is a command as opposed to an abbreviation or simply a stylistic decision to use all capital letters for emphasis. This turns POUR into POUR when advising that someone can POUR a white flask INTO a corpse.
Lastly, I saw that you have sections of varying length about Lich scripts in the four guides you recently authored. These four articles are Experience Guide, Guide for the Recently Departed, Introduction to Spirit Beasts, and Tatterclaws' Guide for New and Returning Players. Gswiki:Policy has a section specific to Lich-related articles, which can be viewed at Gswiki:Policy#Lich script pages. While Lich-related articles are permitted on the wiki, they must follow specific steps to remain on the wiki as Lich is a third-party software that is not maintained by Simutronics. All Lich-related articles must start with Lich: as their title and must include {{3rd-party}} at the top. Some of your guides appear to be more Lich-focused than others. Unless the Lich-focused portions of the articles are modified, I will treat them each as Lich-related articles, which will include moving them to an appropriate page title and adding the {{3rd-party}} template.
I will review all articles referenced above in 7 days and take the steps I outlined at that time. If you have any questions about wiki editing or the style guide, the best place to get answers is on the Gemstone Discord forum's wiki thread. The wiki team and a number of experienced wiki editors are all willing to offer advice. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 11:11, 9 July 2024 (CDT)
