Disintegrate (705) now grants 2 bonus damage cycles for non-corporeal undead and any creature under any status conditions (up from the previous 1 bonus damage cycle). This is another change within the sorcerer review (design proposal at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vFQcOJVAVCMLnXD8UksBBxgFJDJE4xMVXCdVmxXPFBk/edit).

I also made some other minor updates while I was in there:

  • The bonus damage cycles do the same amount of damage as before, on average, but there's a wider range of possible outcomes now.
  • The "various bits melt away" message will no longer have a chance to show up after a creature is already declared dead, which isn't entirely wrong but never seemed to flow quite right to me, either.
  • Bonus cycles will now apply to non-corporeal players (via symbol of transcendence).
