Hello, WELCHA. You recently uploaded a map image file to the wiki, [[:File:Southern Ocean - Higher Res.png]], that appears to violate the [[Gswiki:Policy]] for Copyrights, specifically for Maps. Maps may only be uploaded by the original creator or, in certain circumstances, the editor who updated the map to account for new areas. There does not appear to be any statement on the map image to indicate that you have edited it or when. This is required for all map images that have been modified by someone other than the original map creator. I have flagged the map image for moderator review and deletion. |

If this file is an original, unedited map image, it may only be uploaded by the original map creator. If you have made edits to the map, then you will need to indicate this per the [[Gswiki:Policy#Maps|copyright section on maps]] and reupload it with that text included both on the image itself as well as in the image file comments. The map was created by me by taking a screenshot of the spreadsheet map I created (linked directly below the map). I grouped it with the similar map from Thandiwe because it is very similar and covers the same area, but at a significantly higher resolution. You can tell it's not the same by comparing each block in the map (different shape, different font color), looking at the colors (they are not the same colors, just similar ones), or looking at the legend on the right which has different spacing and contains additional listings. I have added the attribution information required by [[Gswiki:Policy]] to note you as the creator on the map image file's description and have also removed the <nowiki>{{moddelete}}</nowiki> template from it. In addition, I have updated the image caption for the one article featuring it. In the future, please make sure to note that you are the creator when uploading an original map to the wiki to avoid your works from being inadvertently flagged. Thank you again.
