The heavy wooden doors open into a large, austere room. At regular intervals, elaborately carved sconces dot the walls. Though plentiful, the wall-sconces' flickering lights provide poor illumination in the cool, dank room. The macabre, chiseled designs of the candleholders cast frightful, looming shapes upon the smooth stone walls. A large portrait of a rather small and unassuming man is the lone decoration adorning the walls of the room. You also see a stone archway and some heavy wooden doors.

Precious Stones, Antechamber

Windowless and stuffy, this tomb-like room is clearly being used as a workroom. A slab of granite serves as a worktable, and two wooden crates have been carefully stacked against an interior wall. You also see a some wooden crates and a stone archway.

The wooden crates creak underneath your weight, but you're rewarded by a bird's eye view of the workroom below. In the dim lighting you can make out some small holes in the wall closest to you. You also see a some wooden crates.
