The flamberge is a large sword that requires two hands to wield. Its most notable feature is the wavy, flame-like shape of its blade. Two-Handed Weapons are weapons that require both hands to grasp, and thus cannot be used with a shield. While two-handed weapons resemble weapons belonging to other groups, they vary in size and weight, and generally hit a great deal harder and do more damage than one-handed edged and blunt weapons. The trade-off is having lower defense due to not holding a shield.
To be proficient with this two-handed sword, training in two-handed weapon skill is strongly recommended.
