The leather whip is constructed of a long flexible rod or piece of leather attached to a haft. The leather whip is the black sheep of the blunt family as it is not terribly effective against heavy armors. Because of its shortcomings, it will more likely be carried as an accoutrement for roleplay purposes rather than a serious weapon used to engage an enemy.
