You point your open right hand at a jungle troll and pull down on a small lever on the side of your ray gun.  With a roar, a d20-shaped black pearl comes firing out of the gun and hits the jungle troll in the abdomen!  The pearl explodes on contact.
   ... 30 points of damage!
   Burst of flames to abdomen toasts skin nicely.
The jungle troll moans in pain as the flames singe her skin!
   ... 25 points of damage!
   Minor burns to right hand.  Ouch.

   ... 25 points of damage!
   Minor burns to abdomen.  Looks painful.
The jungle troll bellows in agony as the fire toasts her body!
   ... 30 points of damage!
   Burst of flames to left arm burns skin bright red.

   ... 30 points of damage!
   Burst of flames to neck chars skin.  Yuck!
   The jungle troll is stunned!
The jungle troll howls in agony as the flames dance over her body!
   ... 20 points of damage!
   Minor burns to back.  Looks uncomfortable.

The ray gun begins to overheat.
