What is commonly called the T2, T3, and T4 feeders, are what we call the incidental loot of an event. We have named them Common, Uncommon, and Rare. We also have T5 and T6 which on the GM side are unique and jackpot. Unique is a bit unclear because it doesn't mean the item is 100% unique, it means it moves the item out of the feeder, where Common, Uncommon, and rare duplicate the items inside. Copies are generally made in the Unique and Jackpot, though we try to offer some variations where we can. That all said, I am going to post the contents of the lower feeders to help everyone make better decisions on participating. We will do this at events that use this sort of feeder system moving forward. As an example, Delirium does NOT use the same system, where Ebon Gate does. |

Subject: Duskruin Dig!
Recently, adventurers discovered a lost temple beneath the streets of Bloodriven Village! We learned that a divine Arkati artifact, fashioned of amazing Moonshards, had shattered in a massive quake, its pieces scattered into the Sewers! But, the dwarven Archaeologist who shared his knowledge has more to say.
A NEW AREA of underground tunnels has been exposed! Bloodriven Village is a town always suspected to be a haven for those with roguish ways. And now it seems that these scoundrels of days gone by may have been caught in the quake, their troves of treasure lost beneath the streets!
Come to the Sunken Tomb beneath the village and help the archaeologist dig up lost treasure! Who knows what those mischief makers had hidden in their lairs! Spoils from a raid? A cache of weapons? Is it possible that some Artifact pieces didn't end up in the Sewers, after all?
Join the excavation when Duskruin Dig opens from June 17-26!

>>Just to confirm, will the arena and sewers not be open? This is like a variant run or in addition to?
No sewers/arena. This is a separate quest in the town.
>>Will bloodscrip be generated in the new area, or mostly not (perhaps the only creation from moonshard and some items to the archaeologist?
Only if you find moonshard stuff and sell it to the Archaeologist, if you don't want to complete a pendant (seriously, you want a pendant. They're amazing.) No new scrip otherwise.
>>And, to head off any possible outcry - this is not the only Duskruin run planned for the summer? A normal/full run will still happen? If so, could we have the month (Aug?), for proper planning and scheduling/greater attendance.
This is totally separate, and doesn't influence if/when we run Duskruin. We will get you dates as soon as we can, but the regular Duskruin run will not be announced 3 days ahead!
>>3 whole days! Killing me :)
You can't die in this event, so I had to do something, right?
>>Finally, can we get a prize list if that will be offered for this type of run?
There will be no "end of the event" type prize thing like Duskruin. All prizes will be things you find digging, similar to EG digging. There are all sorts of things that you can get, but you won't be getting tickets (like last EG) or the "throw away" super low level stuff (like in previous EGs). There's a whole lot of stuff in there!

As Liia has mentioned, this event is not targeted toward the same audience as the arena or sewers. The system used is the exact system used at Ebon Gate, so if you're familiar with how it works there, this will be a cinch.
Pickaxes (shovels) will be for sale in the SimuCoin store and be priced at 10 SimuCoins a use. We'll have multiple use ones available, and you can play as little or as often as you'd like. The chance to find nothing or just a hidden treasure item (the kind you break/rub) has been removed for this event. So you will always find a container filled with various things. Coffins will also be here, as the area is a sunken tomb under the newly discovered temple.
Inside a container you have a chance to find silvers, gems, a souvenir, hidden treasure item, and a feeder item. Just like EG, there are 4 feeders. The feeders all have pieces of the moonshards. Segments are the rarest pull. The moonshards can still be sold off for bloodscrip, but this will be one of the only ways to really gain bloodscrip right now. The shops will be open in the village, so you're free to shop should you decide to sell moonshards or have some from a previous run. No shop inventory has been touch though. The high end store won't be available.
The feeders have some SimuCoin Store items inside at all levels. Lowest feeder has some single-use temporary enhancive potions for non-spell knowledge items and an encumbrance charm, both lasting 30 minutes. The next feeder from that has login bridges, Guild voucher packs, locker manifest contracts, and urchin guide contracts. From there we have Lumnis schedules, spellup pills, encumbrance potions that last a few days, moonshard pendants, and 100 use gold rings. And our unique feeder has a number of drops similar to special things you might find out hunting (altered weapons and such), but there are some jackpot finds as well. We have a +10 locker expansion contract, a +100 locker expansion contract, a prismatic ether for EG, amnesty parchments, culture resets, fixskill and fixstat potions, some forging slabs, and some stuff that you might have found at a Droughtman's Maze Challenge. I believe we have s spectral butterfly pouch and a scrying crystal ball which I know we did at DMC. But there are 100 items in there. We're doing some last glances over for mostly the lower feeders (not so much the unique one) before we roll this live though. Can't promise any suggestions make it, but if you're dying to suggest something, feel free.
The souvenir item will be something you'll more about at Duskruin's return in August. Hopefully I'm not forgetting anything. Event will run the same length as a Duskruin event runs.

The odds are juiced up. About 10x what you see at EG. And the lowest feeder has items valued at roughly the price of entry, and it scales in value from there. It won't mean everyone will find a unique pull though. But we'll have some jackpot finds that carry real dollar value (like fixstat and locker expansions).

To be clear, as of right now, the majority of items in the unique feeder are similar to stuff you might find hunting that are GM made. There are a decent chunk of "jackpot" items though. And yes, their are segments.
You will find tons of moonshards for bloodscrip. They carry their own value.

Depending on the success of the event, more items will need to get added to the unique. We do over 100 at EG. So, feel free to suggest. We'll probably sway away from massive mechanical stuff though.

I added some alteration fodder to our souvenir feeder. Also, made a slight mistake. The pendants will be in the unique (T5) feeder. If in T4, we could be looking at over 5,000 being created should you guys go nuts. But there are a number of them in the feeder!

While I realize everyone wants to win something, and they want to win something big, that is not the focus of this event. It's priced cheap and it's priced around what you find in the lowest feeder. You always get some value returned that translates to what it would cost in the SC. If you don't like those items or feel this event isn't pushing out enough items all the time, you can stop at any time.
The unique feeder (i.e. T5) is mostly regular GM creations you might find in a box. There are big jackpot finds though, but it's not a 1:1 ratio by any means. A lot of awesome items have gone out. I was going to post a better highlight list last night, but I need to add more things, so I'd like to wait until I get through that.

Souvenirs pull from their own feeder. It has no bearing on any "tier" prize. You always get a tier prize plus the possibility of coins, note, gems, hidden treasure, and souvenir.
As for the wrotwood chests and the Duskruin/EG thing, we thought it would be enjoyed. We learned quickly that having an impact on building something to interact with and watch it walk around with a slight mechanical edge at the EG hunting grounds or Necropolis isn't something desired. This was an idea pushed onto us from management that is no longer with us. We won't be revisiting it. The totems will be more in line with the collectible system.

So we have some new additions at the Duskruin grounds. The wagons will be the same, as always. The shops are intact from last run, so if you want to buy something, you can. The dig area is a new area branching off from the temple inside the arena area. You head DOWN and the rooms there are where the action will take place. There is now a bank in the arena, upstairs in the observation stands above the entrance to the arena (NORTH GO STEPS SOUTH). The archaeologist NPC has a few new answers/questions. Pickaxes should be available soon the store. We added some bigger bundles in case you like the event and want big use pickaxes. Event will open around 9 bearing no weirdness.

Subject: Buggy Pendants and Duplicating Moons
Seems I have to post about a POLICY 7 issue that has come up.
It seems a few of the pendants that went out may have caused a bug that would leave the moon you tried to place inside it still in your hand. If this happened to you, please place an ASSIST and let us know, as well as turn over any moons that didn't physically go into the pendant. As of right now, we know there is one pendant that could still be completed. It's unclear as of right now if anyone used a buggy Makiri moon to complete a pendant. If you did, please tell us.
This also means people should be very leery of purchasing a Makiri moon from another player, should you be wishing to complete that final pendant that is out there. If you have the final Makiri moon and would like to confirm with me how legitimate it is, please email me (using the link to the left). If the golvern segment hasn't been combined, that would also be helpful to let me know.

Sorry this has taken forever. I'm sure some of you can understand I was a little more distracted than usual with the recent announcement.
Okay, some highlights!
First, I added some hand buzzers to the T3 feeder, some prayer rugs and mediation mats to the T4 feeder. Nothing nuts, just something extra. Thank GM Haliste.
The T5 feeder has...
Many locker expansions. At least a couple large ones and plenty of small ones.
Cultural resets and society resets.
Fixstat and Fixskill potions.
Big containers (180lbs).
Prismatic ether.
Fireworks press.
Forging slabs.
Crystal orbs to see another room.
Butterfly pouch.
Coin pouches that hold silvers weightlessly.
Several X/day items.
Some interesting fluff.
There over 100 items still to be found.

~A voucher for a custom swear
~A voucher for a custom verb
~A voucher for a custom log phrase
As stated on the vouchers, PLEASE email me at my gs4-liia@play.net if you find one of these vouchers, no later than the end of this month. If you want to sell or give it away, the person who redeems it has to do so by that date, as well. These are delayed services, so they'll have to go through QC, and we want to get them set up for the winner ASAP.

Subject: Quality vs. Quantity
Just like last time, the majority of items that can be found are the equivalent of what you'd find in the normal feeders of GM-created items in the game (box founds). The jackpot tier allows us to further refine the items into a specific tier now, so something like the 6x armor you described would be in our jackpot tier this time around.
The Dig's main appeal is a different way to earn pieces to the moonshard pendant, with an all new legendary bloodrune available for this run alone. Everything else is what we consider incidental treasure. The unique and jackpot tiers have some very decent stuff though.

There is a snowdrift at the Icy Cliff, and players can grab a single-use pickaxe from here. One per character, limited availability (about 24 hours)!

Subject: The Duskruin Dig - Feeder Talk
I know there is some controversy surrounding the feeders. Anytime there is a random element to prizes, we get similar feedback, and every year that passes the expectations are harder to manage. I do want to explain the feeders a bit more to everyone, so you can make a better decision on whether you want to participate in events with these elements currently and going forward.
With digging, we have (now) 7 feeders:
Souvenir
Gem
Common (T2)
Uncommon (T3)
Rare (T4)
Unique (T5)
Jackpot (T6)
There are some issues with the player naming scheme that has been transposed to digging. For one, T5 and T6 aren't linear feeders. T1 doesn't quite exist as a feeder, but you could name the hidden treasure item as this, since I believe T1 comes from the naming of "nothing found" from games. You always get "something" in digging. Each box can have silvers/note, gem, souvenir, and a prize. At the very least, every box has a prize. Prizes in the common feeder currently have a value of ~10 SC each. This means that every box found carries around the value of the pickaxe use. The bigger the SimuCoin package purchased, the obvious more value retained.
The Duskruin Dig is completely balanced around the "incidental" treasure, as we'll call it. That's the common through rare feeders. The dig is also focused on the MoonShards still. This is everything you earn on the majority of your digs. If these aren't very interesting to you, or you find no value, the dig really won't be a big draw. At this point, I'd highly recommend not participating because you will be left feeling disconnected from the event.
Moving to the Unique and Jackpot feeders, where most the controversy lies. The unique feeder is equivalent to our normal game feeders in value and properties. The term "boxfound" was once a universal term that everyone grasped. I'm not sure if that's the case these days. The typical feeder limitations are 5x, but other properties will weigh down the enchant of a weapon. For example, heavy crit weighting will cause a weapon to have the enchant dropped when we place it into a feeder. There are exceptions to this rule, but I'm offering the gist of it.
Prior to the Jackpot tier, everything was all tossed into the Unique tier, and it made up around 5% of the loot there. This is the stuff that is worth the most, but the RNG doesn't favor this loot. This is sort of a given, but it's obviously the one thing that people want to win. But because there was such an imbalance between "boxfound" loot and "jackpot" loot, we needed to make that separation to paint a clearer picture of what to expect. This is true for the entire digging mechanics now, hence why the Duskruin Dig was updated to use the new tier.
Managing expectations is one of the hardest tasks of being a GM. When the Dig shifted to the new tiers, we wanted to make sure the Unique tier had a lot to gain still, when comparing to EG's feeders. Things like the golvern segment, large locker expansions, fixstat potions, and some of the bigger items like the scroll portfolio all should go into the Jackpot feeder, but we didn't want to shift these things into too rare of a find. Those type of items were at the root of the Dig.
With this all said, I want to offer you all a comparison in items from last (June) Dig. I'm not going to show you every item that's in the dig currently, but I'm going to show you the items that were in the Unique feeder last time. I didn't include quantity here, as many items were in multiples. These are the items that were found. Sorry that the formatting isn't all the same on the list in advance.

Our current pile of items are a lot better than last run, but at some point, there must have been more hype on the dig than we anticipated. Because we're seeing a lot of "is this really a T5 item?" And you can compare your questionable find with last run and see it falls into a similar category. So where did we go wrong? Frequency and people only sharing the good leads to these false expectations.
But given the above list, you can make an educated assumption that the Digs are comparable, and with that knowledge, you can decide if this is something for you. Obviously, people are going to value different items. Each find gives you a value of roughly what you put in at the bare minimum. If you're into the thrill of finding things, take a look at the list. Yes, there are better items this time around, but it's still very similar. And if you're not interested in the whole MoonShard components, remember, you can sell them for bloodscrip. The shops are all open, so you can use it while the dig is open and not have to hoard a thing.
I hope this allows people a better understanding on this event and other events of this nature. By all means, we're not twisting any arms to go to these things. We send out a few marketing emails with marketing language, we post on the forums, we hit up social media, and we announce it on the website. But you can skip it all. The best way you can determine the type of events you want to see is by participating. We always appreciate the feedback, whether positive or negative.

Subject: Duskruin Update: An Adventurer Buys Incidental Treasure
A new NPC is wandering around inside Duskruin Arena, a young elven adventurer. She will buy most the SimuCoin items from the Dig. The only item from the Dig she won't buy right now is the gold ring. I don't have any plans on adding that either. This also doesn't include the bigger finds from the unique and jackpot feeders.
Now that she is out, I will look to add some of the Delirium Manor items too, but I'm not sure if I'll get that done before it's too late. I just wanted to make sure this was out before we closed.
The bloodscrip that she offers is comparable to the moonshards pricing. The bloodscrip value will scale if you've been bundling or pouring to combine items.
With this change, she will ALSO buy items you buy from the SimuCoin store. It's obviously not cost effective to do that, but it means you could accidentally sell similar items if you're not paying attention. So try to make sure you know what you're selling before spamming the commands over and over. The mechanics are similar to the archaeologist and rat catcher.
If you have any issues, post them here. Enjoy!

The adventurer buys birthday/age potions/certificates and Chromomage Spheres. This will conclude what she buys for now. Death salve is possible to add, but I feel the market for that with the bundle mechanics is all we need there.

I knew I forgot something. Locker manifest contracts are now added. Lumnis schedules are worth a bit more and were a rarer T4 find, so I'd rather not add them.

Subject: February Run: Tentative Dates
Duskruin Dig will be returning to Bloodriven Village beginning February 16th at 9:00 PM. The Sewers beneath the village will also be open for adventurers to explore, and the Village Shops will be open for business so that you can see the exciting wares offered by the many shop owners.
Two new legendary bloodrunes will be added to the mix -- I won't spoil anything now, but I'll tell you that these will go all Steve Miller on you.
New gem descriptions (as well as the previous run's gems) will be available in the Dig feeders.
Some shops will see updates, and the High End Script Shop (HESS) will also be open. Details on the contents of HESS will be forthcoming. In addition, some shops may not be open for this run of Duskruin Dig, but more information will be given as we get closer to the event.
The unique and jackpot feeders are chocked full of new items for you to discover (no teasers at this time). Items found in the feeders cannot be exchanged for other items.

Subject: Who's ready for the Dig?
Duskruin Dig, with Sewers and Bloodriven Village, is just around the corner! Duskruin Arena, the combat portion of Bloodriven, will not be available with this run of the Dig but will be open during a later run in 2018. Here's some information to help you enjoy this event.
- To enter the sewers, you will need a "rat" token or a "rat token jar". These are available in a gold token (single use), bronze (10-use), silver (25-use), and gold (50-use) jars. These are available in the SimuCoin store.
[Note: Arena slips will also work here if you have some from previous runs, or if you purchase the wrong item.]
- To dig in the Dig area, you will need a "pickaxe". The following are available in the SimuCoin store.
- rusted iron: single use
- pitted iron: 10-use
- rusted steel: 25-use
- pitted steel: 50-use
- invar: 100-use
- mithril: 250-use
- The Old Farmhouse, home to the NerveStave, will be closing after the February Duskruin Dig. It may reopen at a later date, but it's time to shut these doors.
- The archaeologist has received a very large request for Moonshard Pendants and hopes to dry up that resource after February. Bloodrunes will still be plentiful, and plans to further research their many uses will continue.
- A Moment In Time (easels) will not be open for February, but it will re-open during the full run of Duskruin Arena later in the year.
- High End Scrip Shop - information is forthcoming on this. Stay tuned!
- Spellbound has been expanded to make room for incoming inventory. While the shop is largely the same for this February, additions will make their way through its door later this year. For February, more spell preps have been added, and the exciting Shimmer Trinket -- along with an unlock certificate to add more uses -- has been placed on the wooden shelf. Enjoy!
- Khloake and Dagger's inventory will be retired after the February event.
- Bolt From The Blue: This shop has seen a bit of construction and is slightly larger. Items within containers have been rearranged to place like-bolts together and help with ease of browsing and selection.
- Numerous shops have had inventory updates including (but not limited to) Cacographic Critters (with some new stuff for you to enjoy), Bloodriven Bowery, Gamac's Goods, Crosswinds and Crosshairs, Autumnal Den, and more.
- Both the unique and jackpot feeders (available in the Dig side of the event) have been "locked and loaded" and are ready for you to find all the goodies! Want some things from the jackpot feeder to whet your whistle? How about...
> Shocklance
> Permablessed UAC
> Adamantine armor accessories
> Weight reducing container
> Elemental Circlet
> Legendary Bloodrune Cloak (brand new item)
> Watering Can (from the 2016 Auction items)
> Weighted Katana with Plasma Flares
> +5 Defender Runestaff
> Tier 2 Parasite Weapon
> And much more!
- Two new legendary bloodrunes have been sighted -- a storm griffin and a war griffin. If you've ever wanted a bit of avian flair, these bloodrunes are for you. And, if you're lucky, you might find the new legendary bloodrune cloak which will help you settle more comfortably into your new "skin". These cloaks, which also work with previous legendary bloodrunes in a unique and wonderful way, can be found if you dare to dig amongst the rubble of the Underground Temple.
Duskruin Dig will run from Friday, February 16 at 9:00 PM through February 25 at 11:59 PM. See you there!

There are no pendants at the dig or in the sewers. Those are an arena drop. Last year, over 100 pendents were found with only ~20% used, so there are a lot out there. They can be sold for a lot of bloodscrip though, but I didn't see many being sold.
The dig is the only thing that has a feeder, so that's where GM-created drops are. Moonshards, pendants, and bloodrunes are hard coded into the other systems, but we put moonshards into the feeders. We also only put the legendary bloodrune in the dig. Random treasure drops are in the sewers. The dig does not have that either.
Both pieces of the event cater to different players. Bloodscrip is the main appeal in the sewers. Digging will have GM created items. There is no combat this run.

Subject: Common, Uncommon, and Rare Feeders
