The Gilded Gladiator, Status

[The Gilded Gladiator, Status -]
The interior of this cabin is exceptional in its tidiness and organization, with naught a speck of dirt or dust anywhere to be seen. Shelves arranged just so boast displays of fine goldsmithing along the walls, and decorative cut-glass jars of jewels sit amongst them. On a centrally located marble-topped counter island is an oblong cobalt-patterned white pottery bowl, a knotwork-etched gold salver, and a lattice-carved beech tray. A gold-framed vellum sign rises on a tall stand behind the island.

In the oblong cobalt-patterned white pottery bowl you see: a square emerald-set bronze ring, an intricate lapis-inlaid gold band with an intaglioed design and a laurel-etched silver ring with emerald accents.

Several half-bust displays stand tall on the counters flanking the walkway deeper into the shop, their shorn necks adorned with a variety of metals and gems of remarkably quality. Over one counter is a row of yew pegs and a line of filigreed hooks over the other, while a silver-framed round mesh display sits on a pedestal atop the second marble top. A gold-framed vellum sign stands stoically at the end of one counter.

A trio of feminine mannequins stretches the length of one wall, while a trio of masculine mannequins occupies the other, the figures posed as if in casual respite. At the rear of the cabin is an ivory linen partition, and situated in front of it is a small table topped with a round gold-stroked ivory pottery bowl and a gold-framed vellum sign.

A fibula is a brooch used to fasten garments and is composed of three parts: body, pin, and clasp. A somasida is a body chain worn on the front of the body in an X pattern, with chains rising to drape over the shoulders and falling to wrap the torso beneath the arms. They are typically adorned with a coin, medallion, or gem at the center of the chest. A pectoral is a wide metal collar frequently worn by both males and females, and it covers the upper chest region.

On the trio of feminine mannequins you see: a delicate rose gold somasida set with a blush pearl rosette, a spiral-linked silver somasida set with blue-green fire opals and a double-linked ruby and bronze somasida.
