Town Guruship
A Town Guru is responsible for the following areas:

  • Closing Bug Reports for their Town
  • Running a minimum of 1 citizenship merchant a month
  • Major Cities must run a minimum of 2 roleplaying moments a month
  • Minor towns must run a minimum of 1 roleplaying moment a month
  • Updating or adding new content* to their Town
  • Answering player questions/concerns regarding town information
  • Hosting an annual OOC Town Meeting
  • Updating the wiki on town changes (both staff and player)

Race Guruship
A Race Guru is responsible for the following areas:

  • Maintaining, updating, and cohesively organizing all racial documents on both the staff and player wikis
  • Create New Racial Documents (1 per year)
  • Organize Racial shops for various festivals
  • Assist in creating racial storylines or involvement
  • Organizing racial responses, as necessary, in response to global actions in Elanthia

All Guru Responsibilities

  • All Guru responsibilities are in addition to current GM responsibilities.
  • All Guru event requirements are in addition to current GM event requirements.
  • All Gurus are considered experts in their area, but they are advisory roles that do not prevent or block the forward progress of Elanthia as a whole.


Terms Defined

City (macro): a large metropolis within the game that has several smaller communities calling to it
Town (micro): a small city with a more spread-out population
Community: an area or zone near an established city or town that falls under the town or city’s guardianship
New Content is defined by either a town upgrade, new shop in town, new NPC in town, or added player/roleplaying content


All Gurus fall under the Events APM
