Hoarbeam is a type of fir tree with silver-grey wood that grows in arctic regions. It has an irregular grain, is resilient, but elastic enough to craft a bow from it. It is said that the further north that a hoarbeam tree grows, the stronger its inherent magical properties will be.
The hoarbeam is an evergreen with needle-like leaves. It is also a pine tree; the pines have a dark purple hue, which grow upright on the top-most branches.
