Gemstone Codices are one-time-use items that overwrite a property on one of your Gemstones with a new one via the Artificer.

You must pay the 10m minimum fee to INSTILL them to overwrite another gemstone property on an existing gemstone.

Codices and codex properties instilled on a gemstone cannot be amplified by the artificer. You can only ask the artificer to WRITE you a new higher rank codex and pay again to INSTILL it over the existing gemstone property.

Costs

• Rank 1 Cost: 10 stored codex charges, 1,000,000 silver, 10 Dust.
• Rank 2 Cost: 50 stored codex charges, 5,000,000 silver, 50 Dust.
• Rank 3 Cost: 250 stored codex charges, 25,000,000 silver, 250 Dust.

Treasure Drop Messaging

Among the remains, you find a marble-lined runic codex chiseled with cerulean runes, which falls alongside your feet.

A Gemstone may be instilled with the codex's power by a sufficiently skilled artificer.  This process will erase another property on the Gemstone.

You note the telltale filaments of a greater binding shimmering around the runic codex.  You can sense that the codex is bound to you.
