Wow, where to begin. Heh! Well, initially, this started off as a random invasion that I wanted to give more of a 'reason' to than the usual 'Oh look! Creatures have invaded for no reason at all! Now they're gone!' so I decided to create a villian. Based on player responses, I went with her main attack creatures being spiders, and away it went! I can't begin to explain how much player reaction, hypothesis and rumor played into everything - but suffice it to say that you guys pretty much created it all on your own. I took bits and pieces of everyone's thoughts and tossed them together, coming up with a woman summoner and her precious spiders who were using diversions to achieve what she really wanted behind your backs. From there, I decided I might want to actually run a storyline, got my approvals, and started plotting, building and playing. At first, I was a bit leery of using Lethra because I too enjoy her immenseley and I deliberately built her into the community. But the more I considered it, the better it sounded in terms of seeing player reactions to one of 'their own' becoming a true villian (even if she is deluded and mad). The Caden part of things just made it all plausible for me and allowed me to once again, turn her into a part of the 'community' because it allowed her to A) seem real and B) most everyone knew of her affection for the elderly delf (tee-hee). I was both saddened and happy at the way things ended, but to be honest, it was all left in your hands as players. Had the diary been able to be produced to the watchman, he would have taken her in, and a trial would ensue. Had the players determined how to get her into the Keep's cell, she'd have gone and stayed here until judgement was decided upon. Had Kashir or Kinslaiyer taken her away from it all, she'd have gone that route as well. Heck, it was even an option to just forgive her, or kill her on the spot. I honestly wanted it to go however you, the players, let it go. You didn't let me down! Anyhow, this has become longer than I expected, but I'll wrap it up by saying thank you. You all are awesome and I love being a part of the Platinum team. Thanks for making this memorable, once again, and for being such wonderful participants in every facet. I'll miss Lethra too!
