Channeling is an alternate method of casting various prepped spells, generally attack spells. Once the spell has been prepared, using the verb CHANNEL instead of the verb cast, the caster can receive extra benefit (usually in terms of extra damage dealt to the target).
- Channeling requires at least one hand open, but extra benefit is garnered by having both open.
- Channeling garners additional benefit when used from an agressive stance. The more aggressive the stance, the bigger the benefit.
- Channeling incurs a 3 second hard rt which runs concurrent with the 3 second cast rt.
- Channeling can now be used in conjuction with the INCANT verb, provided the necessary settings are changed. You can see many different settings using the SET command. Using SET CHANNELINCANT ON will let you channel every time you incant, on spells that allow it. SET CHANNELINCANT OFF will turn this feature off. INCANTing will work normally on other spells.
