The COUNT verb has multiple uses. It can be used for roleplay, to allow a character to count on their fingers, or display numbers to another character. It can be used to count characters in a string, which may be useful to players at merchants to keep their alteration ideas in line with the ALTER verb, particularly for the 15/15/15 rule.

Usage:
    COUNT {# 1-99} {target} - Hold up a number of fingers.
    COUNT LOSE              - Lose count.
    COUNT {phrase}          - Give number of words and characters.
    COUNT GROUP {loud}      - Count number of characters in your group.
    COUNT ROOM {loud}       - Count visible characters in your room.

Verb Info

People targets:
  1-10       - You hold up (1-10) fingers to (target).
  11-99      - You hold up (1-9) fingers to (target), followed by
               (1-9) fingers, indicating (11-99) total.
No target:
  1-10       - You hold up (1-10) fingers.
  11-99      - You hold up (1-9) fingers, followed by (0-9) fingers, indicating (11-99) total.
  LOSE       - Vanah counts on her fingers and frowns.
  ROOM LOUD  - Vanah points from person to person, counting to herself.
  GROUP LOUD - Vanah counts the people near herself.
  (Ungrouped)- Vanah looks around sadly.

Usage

One	First	Third
One	You hold up one finger.	Vanah holds up one finger.
2-10	You hold up five fingers.	Vanah holds up five fingers.
11-99	You hold up five fingers, followed by five fingers, indicating 55 total.	Vanah holds up five fingers, followed by five fingers, indicating 55 total.
Invalid	You stare at your hands, unsure how to use them to count to -55.	Vanah stares at her hands.
No hands	You hold up your bloodied stumps and remember that you don't have any fingers to count!	Vanah stares at the bloodied stumps where her hands used to be.
LOSE	You try to count on your fingers but lose count. Ugh, numbers.	Vanah counts on her fingers and frowns.
ROOM	There are 2 people here, including yourself.	None
ROOM LOUD	You point from person to person, counting to yourself. There are 2 people here, including yourself.	Vanah points from person to person, counting to herself.
GROUP	There are 2 people in your group, including yourself.	None
GROUP LOUD	There are 2 people in your group, including yourself.	Vanah counts the people near herself.
GROUP LOUD, alone	You are not currently in a group.	Vanah looks around sadly.
