7/27/2025 - Groundbreaking

Representative Nysdael welcomed Administrator Zofiya of Mist Harbor to Cysaegir for the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Four Wings Isle hall. He shared a very heartfelt speech that he practiced for weeks in front of his grandchildren who lovingly put up with his pomp in practice.

Once done, they broke into the ramshackle cabin by furtively prying open the door. Much effort and sweat was to be had, and once inside, they came across some skeletal remains and a mysterious tome. Thanks to a visiting Vanadre Chiras name Coroliss, we were able to get a song from the items to find out what happened.

• Vaelani, who is an aelotoi horticulturalist, came to investigate why the plants near the ruined cabin won't grow.
• Her plan was to take soil samples and plant scrapings and test them to see what's wrong.
• Coroliss recounted the visions he had (which are on the wiki). Broadly, it sounds like some elves came to research kiramon, then one of the researchers was taken by the kiramon and transformed, and then the researchers were all killed by kiramon.
• We discussed how much this sounds like the Hive and their tendency to make hive thralls.
• We went in the cabin and poked around. There was discussion of the strange aspect of the tree growing inside the house, which seemed to be dead, but was still growing.
• We took more samples inside the cabin.
• Vaelani explained that Representative Nysdael had reached out to Illistim for help, since the dead elf was presumably Illistimi, and that the corpse and tome had been moved to a safer location.
• Vaelani noted that the cabin had been abandoned for a long time, so the kiramon in the vision might not still be around to pose a threat.
• Rohese sensed anger from the tree, but she wasn't sure if that was something else in the cabin.
• The meeting broke up. Vaelani wants to plant crape myrtles once we figure out how to fix the blight around the cabin, and maybe make it a memorial. In terms of the investigation, we are waiting to hear from Ta'Illistim, unless Nysdael gets impatient before then.
