The Mad Manners Manuel

You analyze the leather grimoire and sense that the creator has provided the following information:
The Mad Manners Manual (also known as Miss Manners' Mad Manual)
A crescent-tooled midnight leather grimoire clasped in tarnished silver is a book of etiquette with three books bound into one spine. It is currently showing Zelia's Guidebook to the Celestial Table.

You may OPEN, CLOSE, READ, TURN, FLIP, LOOK at, and SHOW the grimoire to others. Zelia's pages will not stay in order; each READ recites one of her rules at random.

PINCH the spine while holding it to cycle to the next book: Zelia's Guidebook to the Celestial Table, A Treatise on the Proper Governance of the Table, or Rai'kan: A Guide to the Erithi Tea Ceremony. The page resets to the beginning whenever the book changes.

ADD a registered tableware item TO the open pages while holding both, and its design becomes an illustration in the book. The item is consumed, so you will be asked to ADD again to confirm. A new illustration of the same kind replaces the old one. Each noun is illustrated as one kind of tableware:
    Fork: fork
    Spoon: spoon
    Knife: knife
    Chopsticks: chopsticks, chopstick
    Teaspoon: teaspoon
    Plate: plate
    Saucer: saucer
    Napkin: napkin
    Teapot: teapot, kettle
    Teacup: teacup, tea-bowl, teabowl
    Pitcher: pitcher, jug, ewer
Glass: beaker, chalice, cup, flute, glass, goblet, tumbler, wine-bowl
    Carafe: carafe, decanter
    Mug: mug, tankard, stein
    Serving Bowl: crock, tureen, urn
    Bowl: bowl
    Platter: platter, salver, tray, trencher

POINT the grimoire AT a Tier 5 Basketifier, and each illustration replaces the basket's design of the same kind, one for one. Only tableware the basket already holds (unlocked with its voucher) can be replaced; the rest stay in the book. You will be shown what will transfer and asked to POINT again to confirm. Illustrations that transfer leave the book. The manual can transfer illustrations once per day, resetting at midnight.

There are no tableware illustrations within the grimoire yet.

The title and the three books within cannot be altered, though a merchant may change the grimoire's description by giving each title a unique LOOK and LONG. Please keep the noun synonymous with grimoire.

Private Property 1 - The Widow's Lantern Inn

Nestled between the mist-choked forests of Wraithenmist and the dark waters of the Lake of Shadowed Sorrows, the Widow's Lantern Inn is an ancient lakeside establishment with an active fishing pier, comfortable accommodations, and carefully tended grounds. Though its living proprietors have long since departed, the property remains remarkably well maintained by the spectral staff and guests who continue their daily routines, seemingly undisturbed by the passage of centuries.

Private Property 2 - Ianthine Rose

Situated above a tea shop in Ta'Nalfein, the Ianthine Rose is an elegant private suite once renowned for its former owner's lavish dinner parties and refined hospitality. Richly appointed chambers offer comfortable accommodations, while exclusive rooftop access leads to a secluded sky garden and pool. Immaculately maintained and filled with intriguing details, the residence retains a few carefully concealed secrets for the observant visitor to discover.

Bungalow Properties

In Solhaven, the bungalow property is a 4-room townhouse that opens onto a communal garden.

In Sylvaerrend, the bungalow property is a 3-room cottage that has a private garden (counting as the 4th room).

These bungalows do not have neighborhoods or any of the neighborhood-like settings of the Kraken's Fall Bungalows, which is why they get the 4th room.

The Solhaven Bungalow Property is a townhouse model. The door is going to be hidden in the room description. I’ve actually had it hidden for over a year now.
The entry is the Parlor, the next room is a fully functional kitchen. Upstairs is a bedroom with a privacy screen separating the bathing chamber. Through the kitchen is the entry to the communal garden.
Every item in the town has a LOOK to it. There will be no alteration slips.

A bit of info on the garden...

It is a 4-season garden. All the foraged item props and the room description update with the season.

Wyrom's Offerings

Wyrom Wonders - With Thandiwe's permission, here are some small teasers of things I donated.

  • Temporal Weapon (One Hundred Seconds)
  • Monster Flesh
  • Hidden Bracer (Will come with an update for all bracers to make them more appealing)
  • Resistances

Some Teasers

Introducing the Man-on-Fire Doublet and the Icy Waistcoat.

And...

You analyze the jacquard doublet and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

~*~ Wisp Waistcoat

This jacquard doublet can be lit with a wisp lantern from Naidem, even a skeletal one from outside Naidem, or with a Naidem coneflower! While wearing the doublet and holding a wisp lantern or coneflower, TWIST the doublet to tuck the lantern in. The lantern is consumed and the garment glows for four hours, with ambient messaging while it is worn.
When the light gutters out, the spent lantern remains inside. PLUCK the doublet to remove it (PLUCK also puts the light out early), then TWIST in a fresh lantern to light it again.

Verbs: BOW, PULL, PUSH, RUB, SALUTE, SHAKE, STRIDE, TICKLE, TURN, and WAVE.

It is fully alterable, but the fabric form must remain actual fabric. The lit form is also alterable, and the lit description (long and show) can make reference to the garment being lit.

The noun may be changed to any of the following: coatee, coat, doublet, greatcoat, houppelande, jacket, longcoat, overcoat, topcoat, vest, or waistcoat. The messaging references a collar, a placket, buttons, seams, an inner pocket, and a lower hem, so the garment should keep those.

The wisp hue (the color named in the messaging) comes from the lantern or coneflower tucked in, so it may only be changed with a different one.

CURRENT SETTINGS:
Normal garment: a dove grey jacquard doublet detailed in tone-on-tone stitching
Show of normal garment: Fashioned from embossed dove grey jacquard, the structured doublet features a high, stiff collar and a fitted, waist-length cut. The chest and shoulders are detailed with intricate tone-on-tone stitching, and is fastened down the center with a row of dark metal buttons. Layered over the shoulders are short, structured wings that give way to fitted long sleeves, while the lower hem splits into a brief, overlapping peplum. A subtle, natural sheen plays across the fabric's raised, ornate patterns.

Lit garment: a luminous dove grey jacquard doublet displaying pale-patterned stitching
Show of lit garment: Tailored in embossed dove grey jacquard, the structured doublet is patterned with bioluminescent will-o-wisps in deep pale hues. It features a high, stiff collar and a fitted, waist-length cut, fastened down the center with dark metal buttons. The brief, overlapping peplum at the hem, shoulder wings, and sleeves are subtly outlined with matching pale wisp lights, echoing a gentle, otherworldly glow that catches the ornate patterns on the fabric.

Wisp hue: pale
No wisp lantern is tucked inside.

You analyze the black velvet gown and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

~*~ Shadow Gown

This black velvet gown will react to shadow and darkness spells being cast at it and transform into a shadow-wreathed gown!
While in this state it has ambient messaging. PROD or EXTINGUISH it to let the shadows withdraw early.

Verbs: CURTSY, PONDER, PULL, PUSH, RUB, SASHAY, SHAKE, TICKLE, TURN, and WAVE.

It is fully alterable, but the fabric form must remain actual fabric. The shadowed form is also alterable, and the shadowed description (long and show) can make reference to the gown being EMPOWERED.

When altering gowns, please keep in mind that the messaging references full skirts and a fitted bodice. Accordingly, these pieces should NOT be altered to have short/tight/fitted skirts. Also, anything that resembles a sheath dress is not appropriate for this gown.

The shadow tint (the word used for the darkness in the messaging) may also be customized. There's more room than the traditional 15, so descriptions needn't be one word only, but let's keep it reasonable. "Ink-dark" = Okay. "Violet-edged" = Okay.
Faintly luminescent absinthe green-tinged aquamarine and cerulean = Too much.

CURRENT SETTINGS:
Normal gown: a midnight black velvet gown with a sweeping skirt
Show of normal gown:

EMPOWERED gown: a shadow-wreathed black velvet gown lost beneath a clinging miasma
Show of EMPOWERED gown:

Shadow tint: violet-plumed ebon

  • a set of shadowdeath vambraces that can transform into brigandine armor.
  • There will be an auction quality, 6x, levielthar, Greater ShadowDeath, Gladius
  • SK 218 - Lumnis Order Knight
You analyze the ivory brooch and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

Released at Rings of Lumnis in 5122, the brooch must be worn to activate (using rub) its special Servant of Lumnis Spirit Servant: an alabaster Sylvankind knight

If you know spell 218, then you may CAST at the brooch to gain the special Servant of Lumnis Spirit Servant.
A scrimshawed shield brooch fashioned of polished ivory has a maximum of 2 uses before it goes into a cooldown cycle, leaving you 2 uses for today.
You may alter the brooch freely, though nothing about the Servant of Lumnis may be changed.
It must remain a pin-worn item and should have an elemental theme.
  • SK 920 - Custom Bandicoot
How about a custom familiar that is an SK of 920? a gold-sparked ghost white wispstone suspended from a six-in-one chain ```
This is a Wizard Familiar Talisman, used to summon a specific familiar.
Verbs: CAST, TOUCH, WAVE

This ghost white wispstone is tier 4, a special and rare talisman with a familiar that may have unique ambient messaging. It has unlimited charges. It will summon "a gold-sparked ghostly white bandicoot" with male gender. The familiar also has a custom look description.

The wispstone has not been used yet.

The wispstone itself can be altered with a long or a show description, but it must remain wood.```

Basktifier Snips

There will be another set of Basktifier Snips.

As you gaze over a pair of celestial-etched platinum snips, you are able to see the blanket designs that you have available. They are:

Blanket Base Design 1: a vine-bordered ebon velvet blanket
Blanket Show Design 1: Midnight black velvet spreads across the blanket in a luxurious expanse, its surface embroidered with curling vines of copper and burnt orange silk. Tiny silver spiders nestle among the leaves, while delicate webs stretch between embroidered branches and miniature crescent moons. Along the outer edges, a border of deep purple satin bears a repeating pattern of grinning jack-o'-lanterns, each illuminated by threads of shimmering gold.

Blanket Base Design 2: a silver-fringe dark blue wool blanket
Blanket Show Design 2: Midnight blue wool forms a thick, generously proportioned blanket, its surface scattered with embroidered stars in silver and pearl white thread. Across the center, a crescent moon rises above a forest of snow-laden evergreens, their branches picked out in delicate shades of frost blue and silver. Narrow bands of intricate knotwork border the edges, while soft silver fringe finishes each corner.

Blanket Base Design 3: a sun-patterned ivory brocade blanket
Blanket Show Design 3: Ivory brocade provides a luminous foundation for an elaborate golden sunburst embroidered at the blanket's center, its rays extending outward through delicate patterns of snowflakes and evergreen boughs. Pale blue silk threads trace the winter foliage, while tiny amber beads accent the sun's radiating points. Along the perimeter, a wide border of deep blue velvet is embellished with alternating golden stars and silver crescent moons.

You currently have selected design 2. If you would like to change this design, then whisper the BLANKET number to the snips.

As you gaze over a pair of celestial-etched platinum snips, you are able to see the table designs that you have available. They are:

Table Base Design 1: a raven-carved walnut trestle table
Table Show Design 1: Dark walnut planks form the broad surface of the trestle table, their edges carved with twisting thorned vines and clusters of autumn leaves. Four sturdy legs terminate in taloned feet, each supporting a carved raven with wings folded tightly against its body. Along the table's perimeter, tiny inlaid brass stars alternate with grinning gourds and crescent moons, while the wood's polished surface reflects a subtle reddish sheen.

Table Base Design 2: a frost-carved white birch table
Table Long Design 2: Pale birch planks form the broad tabletop, their natural grain accented by delicate carvings of snowflakes, holly leaves, and evergreen boughs. At the center, a golden maple inlay creates an elaborate sunburst, its radiating points encircled by tiny silver stars. Four sturdy legs are carved to resemble bundled winter branches, their surfaces washed in a translucent white finish that settles into the recesses like freshly fallen snow.

You currently have selected design 2. If you would like to change this design, then whisper the TABLE number to the snips.

Sash, Katana, and Wakizashi Set

You remove a multi-folded sunset naiquard sash from in a 2026 EG Second Auction bin.

l sash
A multi-folded sunset naiquard sash made of fine silk and decorated with masterful skill winds securely around two scabbards. The sash is set so that both will rest off the left hip. The first, a silver-capped carved ivory scabbard, is set slightly forward and lower than the second, a silver-inlaid rowan scabbard. Both are angled for a quick draw in combat. With deliberate poise, you draw the black ora katana from your scabbard, bringing it up, gripped in one hand, into a ready position. l katana
Forged from unyielding black ora, the single-edged blade consumes all ambient light. Etched down the flat is a descending alignment of fractured stars and collapsing constellations spiraling toward the guard in a map of celestial decay. Charcoal silk braided with dark plum and violet ribbons binds the grip, securing two bruised iolite star ornaments, while an abalone-inlaid guard depicts an eclipsed sun. Terminating in a soot-dark plum jade pommel, the hilt is engraved with a diving falcon.
There appears to be something written on it. read katana
*~oOo~* Nadir ~oOo~* With a nearly imperceptible movement, you neatly draw your white ora wakizashi from the scabbard and bring it to a ready position. l wakizashi
Forged from purified white ora, the slender single-edged blade is polished to a pristine, mirror-like sheen. Etched down the flat is an ascending alignment of delicate astrolabe arcs and sharp eight-pointed dawn stars. Braided white silk and vivid orange linen wrap the slender grip, securing two bright carnelian star ornaments, while a mother-of-pearl guard depicts an armillary sphere. The hilt terminates in a sunset-hued carnelian pommel engraved with an ascending crane. There appears to be something written on it. read wakizashi ~o@o~ Zenith ~o@o~ Both are 6x an purified
