A deciduous tree, the fireleaf earns its name from the appearance of its leaves in autumn: orange and red leaves appear much like fire from a distance. In warmer seasons, however, the fireleaf bears dark green elliptical leaves with a reddish hue on their undersides. It is believed that the more vivid the red on the undersides of the leaves, the more potent the magic is within the tree.
