Jasper is an opaque form of quartz which comes in several colors.

a cone of ember jasper
| Description: Tumbled smooth and wreathed in luminous red, the ember jasper is conical in shape and resembles a flicking flame sheathed in amber. Dazzling oranges are woven through with slender shards of yellow at the piece's heart, while the exterior transitions through the red shades to a pale, translucent cinnamon hue.

| Description: The cabochon jasper is predominantly a hearty, verdant green, but strident oranges and sparking golds form whorls that complicate the darker color. Along one side, an especially large whorl resembles a large, unblinking eye.

| Description: Tumbled smooth and wreathed in luminous indigo, the peacock jasper houses a web of delicate ebon hues that blend with mottled purples and blues. Tiny fissures, worn down by age, display the lustrous heart of the nodule to be a dazzling shade of lustrous green.
