Filling the space from the high-raftered ceiling to the polished bird's eye maple floors, the sweet scent of sugared confections is mixed with vanilla, chocolate, and pumpkin. Warmly glowing lanterns flood the space with light, making it impossible to see the street beyond through the store's front windows. A short glass display cabinet occupies the space adjacent to a shadowy alcove, while a round table and high shelves fill the rest of the display area.

Templeton's Alcove

No less delectable and sweet-smelling than the entrance room, this small space is barely large enough to hold more than just a few customers. Nearly camoflauged by a shadow-filled corner, a witch leans against the wall and works quietly, gazing out occasionally with her striking green eyes. Elongated tubes fill a frosting-covered bin that sits near the exit.

Shielded behind her obsidian-cut square-framed glasses, the witch's striking green eyes are embellished with thin black wisps that sweep across the lids and slant upward toward the brow's outer point.  Her softly sculpted features are framed inside taut crimson ringlets that are interspersed with pale golden highlights.  A form-fitting apron with wide pockets hangs around her neck and is weighted down from a variety of tools, both metal and wood.  Her hands are the only part of her visible form that shows any sort of depreciation from her line of work, the skin cracked and dry with red patches and an intermittent half-healed injury.  She looks strangely familiar.
