Arcane Sidearm

An Arcane Sidearm was sold at the Grand Auction of 5126. When held alongside a runestaff, the player has a standard flare chance to dart forward and strike their foe. This ability costs 10 stamina and will only trigger on war spells under the conditions where a standard flare would trigger. Prior to the swing, there is a small chance that an Elemental Strike effect will occur. Two-Weapon Combat training is not required to wield this weapon. This weapon will not penalize runestaff defense. Attack is unaimed. AS uses normal formula, so you'll want weapon training, but adds 75% AS boost from spell aim ranks. Additionally, the attack is a surprise, so the target's defense will always be calculated using offensive stance. The swing will use an offensive stance, regardless of the caster's original stance, *but* there is a 25% chance that the caster will remain in a neutral stance after the attack. Swing incurs normal hard RT (reducible via 506/1035/etc). Each attack flare costs 10 stamina, but will not pop muscles on insufficient stamina. This article is a Stub.
