Tour of Eastern Harbor (log)
[Eastern Waterway]
Crowded with boats, the sunny waterway is bustling with activity as large and small vessels vie for space near the dock. Long rows of white buoys protect the wood from anyone that might come in too fast, while a railing on the opposite side prevents pedestrians from falling into the water.

Ilsola recites:
- "Welcome and greetings.
- If you haven't heard by now, I am Lady Ilsola, the Chairman to this festival and the representative of the Mist Harbor Merchant Council."
- "Welcome and greetings.
Ilsola says, "I'm very happy to be able to provide you with this tour of the Eastern Waterway."
Ilsola says, "And to share a bit of the history of the Harbor with you."
Ilsola asks, "'Someone on a previous tour asked me, Can you fish in the Eastern Waterway? The answer is, no...."
Ilsola says, "During the Monsoons of last year, the fishing for this area was destroyed by the influx of fresh water."
Ilsola says, "You can still hunt in the Western Waterways, but over here it simply isn't possible."
Ilsola says, "However, if you've seen the young fellow on the beach, then you know that some of the exotic, smaller fish survived and upon occassion you can see his father and brothers here hunting for those varieties."
Ilsola says, "We are going to tour many of the islands, but not all of them. Grand total, the Eastern Waterways have fourteen islands. Ilsola says, "I am going to make my way to the northeast and follow the line of the swimming area, which is an easy handmark in the waterways."hree belong to Bliss Island Rentals, Five belong to various merchants, five are for recreation, and the last is Coral Island."
Ilsola says, "I will explain more about Coral Island later on."
Ilsola says, "We will disembark on six of the fourteen islands."
Ilsola says, "Bliss Island Rentals...."
Ilsola says, "These islands are identical in every way but color."
Ilsola says, "They are located in the northeastern section of the Harbor."
Ilsola says, "Once the final repairs are completed on these islands, Visitors, such as yourselves, will be able to rent them for a week at a time."
Ilsola says, "I believe there is a garden, too."
Ilsola says, "I believe each island is stocked with a full compliment of food and drinks."
Ilsola says, "The area to the northwest of here is surrounded by a wall that keeps the waters from flooding Cormorant Lane."
Ilsola says, "Directly south of here the waterway follows the pier and to the Second Dock, which is free transportation services for our Citizens. Beyond that are the Bliss Island Rental Docks."
Ilsola says, "I am going to make my way to the northeast and follow the line of the swimming area, which is an easy handmark in the waterways."
Ilsola pedals her boat in a northeasterly direction with her group aboard.
Ilsola pedals her boat in a southeasterly direction with her group aboard.
Ilsola says, "As you can see, the boating area is seperated from the swimming area by glass globes. These globes are crafted by one of our local merchants. She's currently on vacation, but will return shortly."
Zerkas gazes with interest at a series of blown glass globes.
sJ>look at globes
Bobbing up and down on the surface of the ocean, several blown glass orbs have been strung together to create a barrier for the swimming area. Further passage beyond them is blocked not only by their presence, but by a faintly magical nimbus that surges to life at every attempt to bypass them.
Ilsola says, "We had a wizard cast that magic nimbus on there to prevent turtles and larger sea animals from getting into the waterway. Just as the nimbus keeps larger animals out of the swimming area, so does it keep swimmers out of here."
Ilsola says, "For those of you that haven't tried yet, when you are on the distant beach, you can SWIM into the SURF to get into the waterway, though I do caution that you need to have at least a bit of an ability in the area of swimming."
Ilsola pedals her boat in a southeasterly direction with her group aboard.
Ilsola says, "To the west of us is the first of the Merchant Islands. Furryfoot Woad is owened by the Furryfoot family."
Ilsola says, "I know that they've opened their home to the public, so come back and explore."
Ilsola says, "At this point, I'll be traveling to the southwest so that we can reach our first stop. Black Sands Isle."
[Black Sands Isle, Dock]
Rocky and uneven, the ground of the small island is covered with black sand and very little vegetation. Rising and falling with the tide, the waters of the ocean crash against the rocky shore and splash up on the dock that is surrounded by several whitewashed pedal boats.

Ilsola says, "Here we are at Black Sands Island."
Ilsola says, "Black Sands Island used to export many of its fine black sands, but during the monsoon we were unable to continue with that."
Ilsola says, "As a result, the Merchant Council has decided to keep the sands here."
Ilsola says, "And no longer export, but instead offer the wonderful services of a Glassblower and Artisan."
You ask, "More glass from the same artisan as the swimming area?"
Ilsola says, "Precisely. Once she returns from her vacation, the Artisan Lorwindinell will be living here on the Island. She is an excellent artist and has some unique skills. Some of the things that she's able to do are turn shells into lockets, make Trinkets out of shells, local gems, flowers, and some of the sand here."
You ask, "Like is available in the jungle?"
Ilsola says, "If you mean the Lagoon Aritsans, than, no. Not like them at all."
Khystra asks, "Local gems?"
Ilsola says, "Recent exploration by the Gameswarden and his men have discovered a variety of gems unique to Mist Harbor."
Ilsola says, "Some of the varieties that have been found so far include...."
Ilsola says, "Fossilized sponge, a new variety of obsidian, pumice, feldspar, several varieties of sea glass, hematite and nephrite, gypsum, marcasite, a variety of blue quartz, garnet, and several of sapphire, roestones, mekret, several varities of jasper, blue and green amber, wrathalines, the Alhan'aht rivertear... some opal, pearl, ruby, and diamond varities, the waterweb, the smoldereye, the auboraline, and of course the saewehna."
Vender says, "I haven't seen any critters to kill in hopes they have them on'em."
Speaking to Vender, Ilsola says, "There are creatures out in the Shimmering Mists, Monsoon Jungles, Southern Wilds, Foothills, Cor'rah Forest, and other locations."
Ilsola says, "I've been given permission to share a saewehna with you all.... the types are dragonfly, hummingbird, two varieties each of moth, butterfly, and firefly."
Ilsola scatters a handful of gems upon the beach.
Ilsola says, "Each of you is free to take one."
You pick up a vibrant hummingbird saewehna.
J>look my sae
Streaked with brilliant tones of ruby and fuchsia, the cabochon of hummingbird saewehna is predominantly iridescent green in hue. The ever-changing kaleidoscopic surface of the jewel throbs and swirls like a slowly rotating tempest, and veins of silver and gold highlight the intensity of each individual color.
Ilsola says, "Now..... to further explain about Lorwindinell."
Ilsola says, "She works in gold, silver, copper, bronze, and steel. Her means of working other metals here is limited. If you bring a gem to her, she can either inlay it or set it whole into rings. She can make rings, bracelets, anklets, armcuffs, baubles, and runestones...."
Ilsola says, "Each will be able to hold a bit of magic in them. But you will have to get the magic into it.
Ilsola says, "This beach is her home, so she'll be around all the time."
Ilsola says, "If you bring a flower and some of the sands on this island to Lorwindinell then she can transform the sands into drinking vessels such as goblets, wineglasses, plates, and teabowls...."
Ilsola says, "And she'll etch that image onto her items."
Ilsola says, "She can also make orbs that will be made of glass and encircle the flower. I think the orbs are intended to be waved around."
Ilsola says, "I do know she can make buttons of black glass that have images on them, and I think those buttons can be used in cobbling."
Ilsola asks, "Runestones, too, did I mention that?"
Ilsola says, "We expect her back within the month."
The world grows blurry and indistinct. After a moment everything becomes clear again. Looking about, you see...
[Eastern Waterway]
Rocks rising on either side of the landmass form an impenetrable barrier that makes landfall on its dark, black sands impossible without the assistance of the dock that stretches out into the cresting waves. Though no vegetation rises from the strange isle, a smear of purple on one of its hills appears to offer a bit of shade from the sun's insistent attention.

Obvious paths: northeast, east, southwest, northwest
Ilsola says, "Well be heading to the south."
Ilsola says, "To the southwest of here is the merchant island owned by Grishom."
Ilsola says, "He has opened much of the island for tourists, so you should feel free to visit him."
Ilsola pedals her boat in a southerly direction with her group aboard toward a nearby dock and takes a few moments to secure it with rope.
[Isle of Shells, Dock]
Coarsely textured to provide a sure footing, the whitewashed dock stretches outward from the verdant greenery of the island into the slightly choppy surf. Pedal boats bob up and down at the edge of the structure in tandem to the delicate roll of the tide, their moorings clanking quietly from where they are anchored in place. Covered in crushed, white shells, a small pathway winds its lazy way up a hill and deeper into the island.

Obvious paths: none
Ilsola says, "Welcome to Isle of Shells."
Ilsola says, "When we first found this item were were amazed by the furtile land."
You see some berry-laden bushes. Looking at the bushes, you see a verdant string bean bush, a tangled green pepper bush and a tangled red pepper bush.
You see some cultivated vines. Looking at the vines, you see a thickly coiled grape vine and a thin peapod vine.
Ilsola says, "As a result, we tried to grow things and they did amazingly well."
Ilsola says, "With the exception of raddishes, all of the raw foods here can be cooked by Giltie the resident cook. She'll even press the grapes into juice for you.Her services are free. She'll even make you a salad if you bring her lettuce."
Ilsola says, "If you give her some clams, courtnecks, or the other smaller clams, she'll make them into a scampi and put them over noodles."
Ghrayce points at a plump half-elven cook.
J>look at Giltie
Robust of body, the half-elven woman has meaty arms and an amble bosom. Vivid blue and red floral patterns decorate the colorful dress that she wears, while bright white sandals adorn her feet. Thick, sausage-like fingers constantly play with the wisps of blonde hair that stray from the coiled braid that is perched upon her head. Sunny in disposition, the half-elven woman has brilliant blue eyes and a youthful carriage.
J>give pepper to cook
"Wonderful!" Giltie exclaims. She accepts your red pepper with enthusiasm and begins to prepare it for you. After several moments, she turns back to you and hands you a rice-stuffed roasted pepper.
Ilsola says, "She is only good with the food here, though. And knows the difference."
Ilsola says, "Giltie makes an excellent apple pie or peach cobbler too. Which can be taken from the trees here."
Ilsola says, "The fire both here and on the beach will allow you to cook any fish that you've brought with you for the western harbor."
Ilsola says, "The stones here are excellent for reclining on."
Ilsola walks over to the stone and settles down.
Ilsola says, "And makes this a very good place to rest while eating."
Ilsola stands up.
Lady Ilsola's group just went west.
[Isle of Shells, Muddy Bay]
Slopping gently downward, a small pathway connects the garden above to the secluded beach. Large and small rocks pockmark the shore, the sharp edges of the shoals making it impossible to swim in the water. Moist sand stretches to the east and west, causing the ground to feel spongy and soft. You also see a palm-roofed bamboo shack and a tanned elven fisherman.
Also here: Great Lady Rendena, Attalia, Khystra, Kasia, Riend, Lord Strydyr, Rlen, Desire, Jodia, Jennora, Lady Kyaloria, Ghrayce, Zerkas, Sir Aydan, Katness, Great Lady Anjel, Xixtrataa, Vender, Lady Ilsola
Obvious paths: east
Ilsola says, "Here we have Flynne."
Ilsola says, "Flynne will provide you with a rake that allows you to go clamming for yourself."
The elven fisherman grins at Ilsola and says, "The beaches around here are the best for digging up clams, that's for sure. But the rakes only work with the soft sands, so you should look for that."
Xixtrataa huskily says, "What do ya do with em now."
Ilsola says, "Well, you can CUT CLAM WITH your KNIFE or DAGGER, to eat on the half shell or you can bring them to Giltie."
Ilsola says, "The planters here have more vegetables."
Ilsola says, "To the west is another area with corn and potatoes."
In the wooden planter you see a bright orange carrot, a slender and tall green asparagus, a bright red small and round radish and a head of leafy green lettuce.
Ilsola says, "And to the east is another bay to clam in."
You accept Anjel's offer and are now holding a plate of scampi-style pasta covered in a clam-riddled florentine sauce.
J>lick my pas
You lick your scampi-style pasta. Juicy, plump tomatoes, carefully stewed in oregano and garlic, accented the saltwater clams in the delicate sauce that the pasta is soaked in.
You lick your scampi-style pasta. Skeins of spinach mingle with oregano and garlic within a light sauce of saltwater and tomato, the interesting combination accenting the bold flavor of the pasta dish.
[Back in the boat...]
Ilsola says, "To the East of here is the island owned by Dawe."
Ilsola says, "She's a lovely waterfall and glass home."
Ilsola says, "If you continue northeast, you'll see the two bliss islands."
Ilsola says, "Welll be heading to Turtle Island now."
Ilsola says, "And here we are Turtle Island. It actually isn't even an island at all."
Ilsola says, "Turtle Island is a purely recreational area."
Ilsola says, "Located in the center of the Waterway, it is constantly hammered by the waves."
Ilsola says, "Large rocks, boulders if you will, encircle the area and are fun to just play on."
J>go southeast
If you tried to step to the boulder in that direction, you'd fall in the water! You had better JUMP instead.
Or, if you really want to get in the water, type JUMP WATER!
The leatherback turtle attempts to raise his large scaly head in an effort to look around.
Ilsola gently run her hand against the back of the leatherback turtle, who ignores the attention.
Ilsola tips the leatherback turtle over and he lands with a thud. Grinning, she knocks rapidly on his shell causing his leg to twitch.
Pale spots speckle the leathery ink-blue carapace of this gigantic reptile, his bulky looking armor seeming to weigh him down as he lumbers around. Long flattened flippers curve outward from the barrel-shaped body in stark contrast to the considerably smaller paddle-shaped ones at the back, both more suited for the open water than for being on land. Weary eyes gaze about from the top of a large scaly head which tapers into a formidable horny-ridged beak.
[back on the boat]
Ilsola says, "To the southwest of here is Anemone's Perch, which is owned by the lady Chisma."
Ilsola says, "I'm told she has excellent lemonade."
Strydyr adds, "And moon wine."
Katness says, "And honey cakes."
Ilsola says, "Here we are at the Isle of Species."
Ilsola says, "We've a small gift area here."
Ilsola says, "One booth holds foods to feed the animals. The other has simple gift items."
Ilsola says, "Tihs is an excellent place to sit and enjoy a snack or recline."
Ilsola says, "Here we have the thick-shelled Tortoise. He is an elder species from the Jungles I spoke about before."
Ilsola says, "Let's move to the next exhibit."
Ilsola says, "Here we have the rookery."
Ilsola says, "Right now we don't have any exotic birds, but we do hope to get more."
Ilsola says, "And our lovely Lemur. She's a bit cheeky."
Ilsola asks, "Vender, could you make a tart and put it in your cloak?"
Vender exclaims, "Yes!"
Vender traces a sign while petitioning the spirits for cognition...
There is a bright flash and a brownish cream-filled tart appears in the air, then falls into Vender's right hand.
Vender put a brownish cream-filled tart in his cloth-of-silver longcoat.
Ilsola says, "Let's go see the rabbit."
Vender lifts up the patchwork rabbit and hugs her against his chest. She twitches her nose a few times, then begins to sniff Vender's clothing. Evidently, the rabbit found something quite interesting. She buries her nose into his cloth-of-silver longcoat and begins to nibble on something! A moment later, the rabbit leaps out of Vender's hands, holding a brownish cream-filled tart in her mouth as she quickly hops off.
Ilsola says, "Here we have the small cafe."
Ilsola says, "It has a very limited variety of foods for while you are here visiting."
Ilsola says, "If you are all ready, we'll head to the last island on the tour....."
[Back to the boat]
Ilsola says, "To the north is another merchant Island. Its called Island Refuge. I'm not sure who lives there, though."
Ilsola says, "Go the northeast of here is one of the Bliss Island properties."
Ilsola pedals her boat in a northerly direction with her group aboard toward a nearby dock and takes a few moments to secure it with rope.
[Coral Island, Dock]
Hugging the edge of a tiny cove, the dock follows the narrow jetty that protects the inlet's waters from maritime traffic and the native aquatic life. Several whitewashed pedal boats bob up and down with the rhythmic pulsing of the tide from where they are anchored to pillions along the edge of the wooden protrusion. Meandering through the sun-dappled verdant foliage along the northern edge, a slender shell-lined walkway provides access to the distant villa.
Also here: Lord Strydyr who is sitting, Jodia who is sitting, Xixtrataa who is sitting, Zerkas who is sitting, Lady Ilsola who is sitting
Obvious paths: none
Ilsola says, "And here we are Coral Island."
Ilsola recites:
- "I'm going to be sharing alot of information while here, so if you could stay with the group and give me some time, i'd appreciate it"
Ilsola says, "Coral Island is the southeastern most point in the Eastern Waterway."
Ilsola says, "If you look at the cove..."
Ilsola points at a small rock-ringed cove.
J>look at cove
High rocky protrusions filter the water of the harbor as it strives for the distant white sands of the cove's beach. Forming a rough circle, the tiny swimming area appears to be the result of a great force of nature, such as a meteor striking the harbor and causing a bowl to be formed. Water gently flows into the bowl, but aquatic life and debris are unable to flow past the protective ring.
Ilsola says, "You can see that this area was once struck by a meteor."
Ilsola says, "This worked out well for the small island as it created a nice bowl to have a private swimming area. Once the water rushed in, that is."
Aydan asks, "How long ago did that happen?"
Ilsola says, "In a past Age or two. That is the best our historians can figure."
Ilsola says, "We think it is the driving force that built the Teeth of Charl. But we can't be sure. Myth changes things, as I'm sure you know."
J>look at dock
Thick planks of whitewashed oak stretch outward from the edge of the grass-covered island into the lapping waves of the harbor. Tall pillions support the structure and provide anchors for the boats that rest at port.
Ilsola says, "From here you can see the villa."
J>look at villa
Supported by a foundation of smooth round stones, the villa has a terra cotta roof that contrasts nicely with the white stucco of its walls. Surrounded on either side by glass windows, the villa's door is the same cobalt blue hue as the shutters that frame them.
Ilsola says, "As you can see, the Island is clearly verdant."
Ilsola says, "No where else on the island can you find these fruits."
Lady Ilsola's group just wandered up a slender shell-lined walkway.
[Coral Island, Yard]
Warm sunlight trickles through the verdant foliage that surrounds the large manicured lawn, which in turn sprawls before a stone and white stucco villa. Crushed shells, their mother-of-pearl bellies reflecting in the golden light, decorate the slender walkway that travels between the villa's entry and the distant dock. Large planters, crafted of dark green bamboo, are set beneath the building's windows, each supporting a wide variety of tropical flowers.

Obvious paths: none
Ilsola says, "Here ends the public section of the Island."
Ilsola says, "Flowers line the walkway leading from the docks to the Villa."
In the dark bamboo planters you see an orange and red crane flower, a plum-throated niveous crane flower, a fuzzy pale pink fairy blossom and a waxy verdant green anthurium.
Ilsola says, "And there are more fruits here as well."
You see some verdant foliage. Ranging in height, the foliage that spreads across the island is verdant and filled with all manner of fruits, berries, and flowers. While some of the ground-hugging plants are tied back by thin strips of hemp, the larger plants have been allowed to grow free without any restrictions. Looking at the foliage, you see a woody twining kiwi vine, a spined dragon fruit vine and a wide-leafed passion flower vine.
Ilsola says, "As some of you know, this Island is going to be auctioned...."
Ilsola says, "The rental box will be placed here..."
Ilsola says, "And the rent will be 75,000 silvers."
Ilsola removes a coral-inlaid sterling silver skeleton key dangling from braided ribbons from her braided silver hip-belt.
You hear a click as Ilsola unlocks a wide cobalt blue entry.
Ilsola just opened a wide cobalt blue entry.
Lady Ilsola's group just went through a wide cobalt blue entry.
[Coral Island, Living Room]
Polished white birch floors support the tongue-in-groove wainscoting that rises to mid wall before giving way to pristine white stucco. Gauze-framed windows occupy the space to either side of a wide cobalt blue entry, while the northern wall is decorated with a plethora of paintings that surround a golden linden door. The eastern wall houses a flagstone fireplace topped with a smooth maple mantle. Arranged in social circles at the heart of the room, a pair of white wicker chairs faces a two-cushioned loveseat over the broad expanse of a low glass-topped table. You also see a dusty river reed basket filled with sticks.

Katness asks, "Is there storage in here?"
Ilsola says, "Yes..."
Ilsola says, "The Villa's Living room is spacious....."
Ilsola says, "The table provides some refreshments and can hold nicknacks, but the mantle can as well."
Ilsola says, "It has room for four on the loveseat and two chairs..."
Ilsola takes a seat on the white wicker chair. [changes the room Also Here: to Lady Ilsola who is sitting on a white wicker chair]
Ilsola stands up off of the chair.
Ilsola says, "The fireplace is functional and definitely good for cooler nights."
J>look at fireplace
You see a neatly laid out pile of wood and tinder waiting only the application of flame to come to life. Nearby is a small basket with sticks of wood, ready to be used to light the fire or to keep it burning.
Lady Ilsola's group just went west.
[Coral Island, Kitchen]
Red stucco meets white wainscoting to create a warm and bright kitchen that is illuminated by the golden sunlight that spills through the glassless windows. Standing on opposite sides of the room, an open knotty oak door leads to a small garden, while an open whitewashed door provides access to the villa's guestroom. Positioned beneath an enormous lantern, a large round maple table topped with bowls and platters is surrounded by long wooden benches and round maple chairs.
Also here: Lord Strydyr, Jodia, Xixtrataa, Zerkas, Vender, Great Lady Rendena, Rlen, Riend, Jennora, Lady Kyaloria, Desire, Sir Aydan, Katness, Great Lady Anjel, Attalia, Ghrayce, Khystra, Lady Ilsola

Ilsola says, "Here we have the kitchen."
Ilsola says, "The bench will hold four and there are four more chairs, which allows eight to eat comfortably."
Ilsola says, "It is well stocked, but negotiations can be made for other varities."
On the round maple table you see a bird's-eye maple bowl, a polished bamboo tray and a long sterling silver tray.
In the maple bowl you see a slice of toasted brown bread, a plump poppy and lemon muffin, a handful of sugary almond brittle and a half and half chocolate cookie.
On the bamboo tray you see a glass of rich nut and berry liqueur, a glass of fruity rum punch, some Vornavian orange juice and a glass of spring water.
On the sterling silver tray you see a crispy round clam cake, a crabmeat and cheese stuffed mushroom-cap, a tossed cashew chicken salad, a buttered and crosshatched potato, a pepper and mushroom kabob, an egg and spinach pasta frittata, some lemon and garlic sauteed shrimp, a tossed cashew chicken salad and an olive and cucumber sandwich.
Under the round maple table you see a painted white porcelain saucer.
In the white porcelain saucer you see a puddle of milk.
Ilsola says, "The window provides a view of the garden."
Ilsola says, "From here we can see the guest bedroom."
Lady Ilsola's group just went through a narrow whitewashed door.
[Coral Island, Guest Bedroom]
Large glassless windows surrounded by gauzy drapes decorate three of the rooms for green stucco walls, while the fourth houses an open whitewashed door that leads into the kitchen. Two mosquito nets occupy the northeastern and northwestern corners of the room and are each suspended over a narrow knotty oak bed and a narrow whitewashed bed. Sharing a space between the two beds, a long golden linden table is draped with a fine white linen cloth and houses candleholders and vases on its smooth surface.

Ilsola says, "Tidy beds, each can fit one."
Ilsola pulls the comforters tightly across the bed, smoothing out any wrinkles.
Ilsola says, "They have coverings for those cold nights."
On the knotty oak bed you see a pile of white and blue comforters.
Anjel grasps the comforters tightly, pulling them up to her neck.
Ilsola says, "There should be a steady supply."
Ghrayce reaches out and touches something in a small felt-lined box.
On the golden linden table you see a small felt-lined box and a smooth round maple candleholder.
In the felt-lined box you see a thin white candle.
Ilsola says, "The table will also hold other small items."
Ilsola carefully places her white candle on a smooth round maple candleholder.
Ilsola lights the white candle, which flickers and begins to burn.
Ilsola says, "If you will follow me into the garden..."
Lady Ilsola's group just went through a whitewashed knotty oak door.
[Coral Island, Garden]
Surrounded by a white picket fence, the garden has a spacious, manicured lawn. Cultivated flowers climb trellises along the edge of the villa and frame a whitewashed knotty oak door. Teak benches are recessed amid bushes near a white picket gate that leads to the beach. Scattered throughout the garden are blown glass humming bird feeders and quiescent witch-balls that shimmer in the sunlight.

Ilsola says, "Here we have the small garden."
Sunlight kisses the verdant green leaves of the bush, which is entwined in the white picket fence. Several flowers decorate the spindled limbs, though the most noticeable are a pink-edged bright white hibiscus and a frill-hearted bright violet hibiscus.
Shadows play across the polished teak of the trellis, though half the structure is illuminated by the sunlight that slips through the foliage. Slender tendrils wrap around the various slats, each culminating in either a star-shaped niveous clematis or a star-shaped dark purple clematis.
>look at feeder
Kidney-shaped orbs of blown glass form decorative hummingbird feeders that range in hue from dark blues to vibrant reds and brilliant yellows. Tiny copper nozzles set into their ends drip amber-hued nectars onto the cultivated lawn, and have drawn the attention of tiny black ants.
Ilsola says, "At night the witch-balls are lighted to provide the garden with illumination."
>look at witch-ball
Crafted of blown glass, the piece is a smooth cerulean globe with a slender swirl at its crown that forms a solid ring. Tiny air bubbles captured within the surface and skeins of cobalt blue glass threads passing through the heart of the globe to create an intricate web make it a truly unique example of the craft. A narrow silver ribbon winds its way through the solid glass ring at the top, and attaches the piece to a rope that houses other quiescent orbs.
Ilsola says, "The bench will accomodate four."
Lady Ilsola's group just wandered out of a white picket gate.
[Coral Island, Private Beach]
Protected on three sides by high, rocky protrusions, the beach has brilliant white sands that fall away from surf that gently laps at the shore. Several white wooden beach chairs are scattered across the area and positioned to face the swimming area. A white picket fence stretches along the edges of the area creating a barrier between the garden, which can be accessed by a white picket gate, and the recreational area. A deep hole filled with pale white sand rests in the shade of the fence and has a small wooden sign half-buried next to it.

Ilsola says, "Here we have the private beach area."
Ilsola says, "There are about eight chairs ...."
Ilsola says, "And you can SWIM the SURF to the swimming area."
You notice someone swimming easily towards the shore, in a moment Anjel steps out of the surf shaking water from her frame.
J>look at area
High rocky protrusions filter the water of the harbor as it strives for the white sands of the cove's beach. Forming a rough circle, the tiny swimming area appears to be the result of a great force of nature, such as a meteor striking the harbor and causing a bowl to be formed. Water gently flows into the bowl, but aquatic life and debris is unable to flow past the protective ring.
J>read sign
In the Common language, it reads:
- ~*~ Fun with sand ~*~
- We found treasures in here, you should try to find some too!
Ilsola says, "Oh yes, and a small respository of strange items in the sand."
Ilsola says, "Just TAKE a handful of SAND until you dig through."
Ilsola says, "Only about once a day." Ilsola says, "Okay, you acn only find something oncein a day."
Ilsola says, "Some items have spells in them."
Ilsola says, "Others can have spells put in them."
Ilsola whispers to the group, "There are about twenty different things."
J>look at sand
Disturbed from recent digging, the sand is pale white and scattered half in and half out of the hole. Objects, barely visible in the depths, tantalize with their promise of greatness near the bottom.
Strydyr rummages through the sand searching for buried treasure and, having found something, pulls a compressed rough sand rune free.
Khystra rummages through the sand hoping to find some buried treasure but doesn't appear to find anything.

Ilsola says, "And now for the Master bedroom."
Lady Ilsola's group just went through a golden linden door.
[Coral Island, Master Bedroom]
Cool blue stucco decorates the walls of the room above the tongue-in-groove wainscoting that is painted serene white. Twin glassless windows, framed in sheer gauze, provide an excellent view of the sunlit garden while the opposing wall supports a golden linden door. A painted silk privacy screen is arranged in one corner and offers the occupants a discrete place to disrobe or freshen up. Positioned beneath gauzy mosquito netting, a four-poster golden linden bed covered with soft white linens is flanked on the right by a tall golden linden table, while at its foot rests a decorative golden linden cassone.

Ilsola says, "Here we have the master bedroom."
Ilsola says, "The bed is fitted with a comforter and a sheet."
Khystra stares at a painted silk privacy screen.
Supported by a frame of dark green bamboo, the screen is fashioned of three panels of white watered silk. Painted images of crane flowers decorate the first and third section, while the center depicts a tropical beach beneath a moonlit sky. Behind the screen, a tall spindle-limbed table sports a small blue sea glass wash basin beside a stack of plush white hand towels, while a lidless white wicker hamper filled with an array of clothing rests nearby.
J>look behind screen
Behind the silk privacy screen you see a tall spindle-limbed table and a square white wicker hamper.
J>look on table
On the spindle-limbed table you see a plush white hand towel and a small blue sea glass wash basin.
Crafted of sea glass, the wash basin is shallow and smooth. Tiny bubbles appear within the depths of the construction that accent the aquatic hue of the piece.
Ilsola lightly taps the edge of the basin and you hear the sound of gurgling water.
You bring the soft fabric of the towel to your face and gentle scrub it across your skin in slow circles.
You vigorously scrub at your neck and behind your ears withthe soft fabric in an attempt to get clean.
J>look at net
Set upon an umbrella frame, the gauzy white netting is attached to a hook at the ceiling and cascades in gentle folds to the floor on either side of a four-poster golden linden bed. Each of the four posters draws the light material away from bed and prevents tangling should the occupants wish to sit or recline against the headboard. Arranged to provide the best protection against, without constricting the flow of air, the netting pools in puddles of fabric upon the floor and can easily be repositioned as the need arises.
J>look at bed
Flanked by carved banisters, the headboard has a fine patina upon it that enhances the natural golden grains of the linden used in its crafting. Matching it in every way, the footboard differs in size only. Thick down mattresses are covered by layers of white cotton sheets and a plump white cotton comforter, while blue silk pillows piled at the head of the bed offer additional comfort.
On the golden linden bed you see a plump white cotton comforter, a set of bright white cotton sheets and a pile of blue silk pillows.
Attalia gazes in awe at a cornflower blue silk pillow in her hand.
Attalia waves her pillow through the air.
The pillow rips apart at the seams! Feathers cover the area, slowly fluttering down onto the ground.
J>look on table
On the golden linden table you see a seashell and red sea glass candleholder and a small felt-lined box.
Ilsola says, "The cassone holds a decent amount and locks with this key."
J>look at cassone
Silver-painted gilt creates decorative filigree along the top and sides of the golden linden cassone. Two panels decorate the front and back of the piece, each housing an intricate painting of a tropical island. In one image, the island is shown at twilight, while the other depicts the island at dawn.
Ilsola says, "The window has an excellent view of the garden."
