If not for her slow, lumbering movement, you might have taken her for a statue rather than a living creature. Her facial features are cruelly angular, with her eyes permanently narrowed, and a constant sneer exposes a few razor sharp stone teeth. Her skin is grey and smooth, reminiscent of stone. Her arms are tipped with long talons, and a pair of damaged spindly grey wings wings splay out behind her. Numerous cracks span the surface of her stony body, and in places there are small bits that are completely missing. The upper portion of her left wing is gone, appearing to have been cruelly snapped off, but that damage appears slightly older. Seemingly more recent damage includes the apparent erosion of the tip of one talon, and where her right eyeball should be is nothing but small bits of gravel.

Other objects of interest

Windfellow's Retreat, Oubliette

[Windfellow Retreat, Oubliette]
This space is small and cramped, with uniform walls on each side stretching up into inky blackness. The floor underneath is gritty with grey dust, with the occasional chunk of odd-shaped rock sitting haphazardly, partially embedded into the floor. You also see a misshapen monstrosity, a diminutive form and a half-formed being.
>look at monstrosity
This hulking form is roughly shaped like a gargoyle, though most of the details are far too rounded and oddly proportioned. The one piece that stands out is the upper portion of one wing, which is distinctly different from the rest in that its edges are sharp and clean, whereas the rest of the monstrosity is extremely ill-formed. Aside from the wing portion, the other notable feature is the complete lack of a mouth.

>look at form
Lying prone and still, this tiny form appears extremely delicate, pieced together from bits and scraps of different types of stone. The only intact piece that can be discerned is a small left ear, which is disproportionately large when compared to the rest of this tiny creation.

>look at being
The only solid piece of this tortured creature seems to be a single oversized stone talon. Grafted to the talon by means of what appears to be extreme heat is a misshapen limestone body, roughly the shape of a small gargoyle. Every feature of the being is oddly proportioned, skewed and asymmetrical, lending the pitiful thing an aura of somehow melted stone.

Windfellow's Retreat, Courtyard

, [Map Room #8], Lich# 28393

[Windfellow's Retreat, Courtyard - 28393]
Featuring a huge old sycamore tree, this section of the courtyard has been festooned with multiple mismatched banners. Benches have been placed under the expansive tree in what appears to be an attempt at hospitality. If one could ignore the malodourous ambiance and muddy straw-covered ground, this would be a nice place to rest. You also see a gold-accented white wagon and a reedy-looking gargoyle clutching a tablet.
Obvious exits: east, west
>look at reedy-looking gargoyle
You see a fairly typical reedy-looking gargoyle. It appears to be in good shape. It has nothing at this time.

>ask gargoyle about Dread Lord
The reedy-looking gargoyle stares at you for a long moment before replying. When it does, its tones are low. "The Dread Lord earned his name through his fearful and terrible magics. This is his lair, his home, and we are all his subjects. Anger him not if you value your life."

>ask gargoyle about gargoyles
The reedy-looking gargoyle puffs its chest up proudly, grinning at you. "Fine specimens, aren't we? The Dread Lord made us, you know. All of us, in one fantastic demonstration of power. Since that day we've worked hard to repay him, as we literally owe him our lives." After a moment, the reedy-looking gargoyle adds in a thoughtful tone, "I believe he's trying to figure out how to do it again..."

>ask gargoyle about keep
The reedy-looking gargoyle looks around, taking in the stone walls surrounding it. "We built it for him, you know. The gargoyles. The Dread Lord used to have a far less suitable structure here, and we wanted him to have an appropriate abode, so we constructed it ourselves, making it everything it should be, to suit the Dread Lord."

>ask gargoyle about festival
The reedy-looking gargoyle blinks once before responding, "Yes, yes! Welcome! We are happy to welcome you to this Festival, which will surely be the greatest in the lands. We have arranged everything for maximum effect, and hope that you enjoy yourselves, and tell others!"
