a series of open-walled merchant stalls, [Map Room B], Lich# 28042, go merchant stalls

The Knight Way, Lance Stall

[The Knight Way, Lance Stall - 28043]
Cloth banners cut into uneven panels line the sides and front of the stall, their alternating green, red, gold, and platinum color schemes creating a montage of rich color. Merchants pace in front of and around the stall, a constant stream of yelling about the fine quality of their wares spouting from their lips. Well-made, traditionally styled accoutrements of a knight adorn a mannequin in the center of the stall, with spare accessories and surcoats spread across a display.

Welcome to The Knight Way! Get your Knight Wear here so that you can be a knight the right way! *Helms on the mannequins are crafted as vaalorn greathelms. *Vaalorn armor on the mannequins carry vaalorn's natural enchant, while leather armor is enchanted four times. *Gauntlets on the mannequins are made for unarmed combat and are enchanted four times; gauntlets NOT on the mannequins are made for aesthetics rather than combat. The seamstress in the back stall can stitch a selection of different designs on the surcoats. She also has some certificates on a table for unlocking additional actions for Knight Wear items. If you want your own personal, plain spurs, helms, armor, or unarmed combat "gauntlets" to function like the Knight Wear sold here, or if you're interested in further ornamenting the spurs found here, visit the blacksmiths and craftsmen who work around the forge to see what they're offering. Thanks for visiting The Knight Way! Remember to: fight for glory, but always with honor!

On the display you see: a pair of deep red pewter spurs, a platinum-buckled belt, a pair of coarse lion skin gauntlets, a platinum-hued silk satin surcoat and a deep red burel surcoat.

The Knight Way, Back Stall

[The Knight Way, Back Stall - 28046]
Housed a bit further back from the main market thoroughfare, the stall is open-air, with only a small, thin strip of canvas overhead to protect the interior from the elements. One side sports a long red banner with a platinum lion, the other a green banner with a golden stag, with the back opening out into the woods. The space is otherwise bare, save for a writing desk topped with swathes of cloth and embroidery supplies and a silver-edged table. You also see a tall beak-nosed seamstress.
Obvious exits: south
>look at tall beak-nosed seamstress
Long brown hair cascades down the seamstress's back in a mass of gentle waves, taking the edge off of the otherwise hard appearance of the elf; her face is all sharp angles, her limbs and neck wiry muscle. She wears a set of padded leather armor set with metal scales patterned in a dazzling display of aesthetic artistry but also with careful attention given to providing excellent protective support, and her pale green eyes flit to and fro as if she is constantly taking in everything that goes on around her.

>ask seamstress about design
A tall beak-nosed seamstress responds, "All I do here is designs for Knight Wear surcoat embroidery. The current list of designs is here on this sheet of papyrus." She shows you a thick strip of papyrus:

     ~~Knight Wear Surcoat Design Options~~

 #1 platinum-maned roaring lion
 #2 regal golden stag design
 #3 green-backed charging stag
 #4 red-accented majestic lion design
#5 quintet of silver-stitched howling wolves
 #6 dagger-pierced bleeding heart design
 #7 white-chested deep blue swallow
#8 pattern of vine-wrapped roses and carnations
 #9 sanguine-speckled prancing steed
#10 jet black rat atop crossed swords design
 #11 platinum-on-red snarling lion*
 #12 greenish gold antlered stag*
#13 gem-inset crown and swan design*
#14 hollow-eyed skull and serpent design*
 #15 diving bronze-on-black hawk
#16 intricate hunter green knot design
 #17 iridescent rearing unicorn
#18 tiger and crescent moon design*
#19 grey-backed carmine sea serpent design*
#20 splayed and helmed raven design*

She comments, "Some designs have a * -- this means they have more detail for SHOWing. You can see that detail if you ASK me ABOUT DESIGN DETAIL." She pulls the papyrus back and adds, "When you know which design you want, just ASK me ABOUT ORDER {DESIGN #}. Make sure you're holding your Knight Wear surcoat in one hand and 100 raikhen in the other hand."

>ask seamstress about design detail
A tall beak-nosed seamstress responds, "All I do here is designs for Knight Wear surcoat embroidery. The current list of designs is here on this sheet of papyrus." She shows you a thick strip of papyrus:

~~Knight Wear Surcoat Design and Design Detail Options~~

 #1 platinum-maned roaring lion: --
#2 regal golden stag design: --
 #3 green-backed charging stag: --
 #4 red-accented majestic lion design: --
 #5 quintet of silver-stitched howling wolves: --
 #6 dagger-pierced bleeding heart design: --
 #7 white-chested deep blue swallow: --
#8 pattern of vine-wrapped roses and carnations: --
 #9 sanguine-speckled prancing steed: --
#10 jet black rat atop crossed swords design: --
#11 platinum-on-red snarling lion: With wickedly sharp claws outstretched and maw twisted into a ferocious snarl, the lion is depicted midway between launching itself into the air and pouncing on its unseen victim. Light and shadow seem to play across the lion's hide whenever the ambient light striking its multi-toned platinum threading shifts, contrasting sharply with the rich red background and lending an ethereal aesthetic to the otherwise formidable beast.
#12 greenish gold antlered stag: With a clear bent toward the artistic, the design is formed from a forest green background that swirls into the stark black outline of a golden stag's head. The stag is staring straight ahead, its gaze calmly fierce, its head of full-grown, gold-flecked antlers lowered just enough to serve as a warning of the mortal wounds that the stag's glorious, natural crown can inflict upon its foes.
#13 gem-inset crown and swan design: Dual swans of silken ivory threading rise up on opposite sides of a field of pale blue. Their wings, which are stitched with uncannily realistic feathering, are spread not toward each other but instead upward, as if reaching toward the multi-pronged crown that sits at the top-center of the design. Although the majority of the crown's ornamentation is simply clever embroidery, a handful of tiny, crystalline gems decorate its band.
#14 hollow-eyed skull and serpent design: With hollowed out eye sockets and a cracked jaw, a dull ivory-threaded skull is wrapped in the embrace of a golden serpent. The serpent, who has slithered his scaled body through the eye sockets and mouth, is poised to strike, its head rearing back as its beady black-jeweled eyes stare forward and its thin-tipped tongue flicking out of its gaping, fanged mouth. A small royal blue flower, its hue a bright contrast to the other colors in the embroidered design, is tucked in among the serpent's coils.
 #15 diving bronze-on-black hawk: --
#16 intricate hunter green knot design: --
 #17 iridescent rearing unicorn: --
#18 tiger and crescent moon design: Rearing up on its back legs, the tiger is shaded in vivid orange, save for its off-white underside and its numerous pitch black stripes. Adorned with curved, sharp claws, the tiger's forepaws swipe menacingly at an unseen foe, and its fanged mouth is open in a ferocious roar. Tilted at an upward-facing slant over the feline is a yellow crescent moon, its bright hue standing out starkly from the design's black backing.
#19 grey-backed carmine sea serpent design: Set on a shield-shaped field of grey, the design depicts a left-facing sea serpent above four wavy, dark blue lines representing a body of water's surface; only the sea serpent's head, a central section of its body that has curved upward in an arc, and its tail are visible, with the remainder of the great carmine-hued beast presumably submerged underwater. The creature's ears stick up and backwards like horns, and a long, snake-like tongue sticks out from its partially open mouth.
#20 splayed and helmed raven design: With scarlet-bordered black wings splayed out to either side, the raven's body is composed of a shield split down the middle, with one side depicting a silver tusked wolf on a black field, and the other a stylized silver eagle with claws outstretched on a field of scarlet. The raven's tail feathers project out below the shield, while its head is hidden beneath a scarlet helm half-jutting over the top of the shield. Two greatsword hilts jut up at opposite angles on either side of the helm.

She pulls the papyrus back and adds, "When you know which design you want, just ASK me ABOUT ORDER {DESIGN #}. Make sure you're holding your Knight Wear surcoat in one hand and 100 raikhen in the other hand."

>ask seamstress about order
A tall beak-nosed seamstress mutters, "You need to be holding a Knight Wear surcoat in one of your hands and 100 raikhen in your other hand if you actually want to order."

>ask seamstress about joust
A tall beak-nosed seamstress glances at you warily and mutters, "Not sure what you want to know about jousting. It ain't no secret 'round here that I can't compete anymore. Bad heart or something like that." She looks away, then returns her steady, unwavering gaze to your person. "Doesn't matter, that; someday I'll be ready to get back in there and win again."

>ask seamstress about Rumor Woods
A tall beak-nosed seamstress pauses before answering, "Well, the field that we're using wasn't here before. They cut down those trees. Never know how a wood will respond to that. Hope I'm not here to find out if the forest didn't like what we did here." She shrugs her shoulders slightly, then turns to gaze out of the back of the stall, toward the distant forest.

The Knight Way, Gaston Stall

[The Knight Way, Gaston Stall - 28044]
Adjacent a stand topped with gaudy accessories and surcoats, the accoutrements of a knight, over-aggrandized in style, are heaped upon a mannequin in the mid-forward area of the stall. Overly lavish and ostentatiously decorated banners of gold and green hues line the stall, and two merchants who look more like self-important snobs than hawkers stride back and forth, at turns completely ignoring and striking knightly poses for patrons as they shop.
Obvious exits: west

On the stand you see: a pair of verdigrised copper spurs, a gold-whorled belt of finespun sisken, a pair of fitted elkskin gauntlets, an alum and gold-threaded surcoat of vert noile and a quilted sisken surcoat.

Get your Knight Wear here so that you can be a knight the right way! *Helms on the mannequins are crafted as greathelms. *Armor on the mannequins is enchanted four times. If you want your own personal, plain helms, armor, or unarmed combat "gauntlets" to function like the Knight Wear sold here, or if you're interested in further ornamenting the spurs found here, visit the blacksmiths and craftsmen who work around the forge to see what they're offering. Thanks for visiting The Knight Way! Remember to: fight for glory, but always with honor!

On the display you see: a pair of burnished bronze spurs, a belt of close-linked square leather pieces, a pair of bronze gauntlets spiraled with white-painted whorls, a thin baize surcoat wrought in a gradiant of blue hues and a fine silk surcoat.

[The Knight Way, Monty Stall - 28045]
Though not at all shoddy in build, the accoutrements of a knight that adorn a mannequin in the center of the stall seem mismatched, as if whomever put them together had little sense of suave style. Spare accessories and surcoats dangle from a rack, appearing as if they may fall off of their perches at any time. Lending color to the stall, cerise and umber banners hang overhead, and a hawker's assistant laughs cheerfully as he bumbles and trips around the area.
Obvious exits: east

On the rack you see: a pair of buffed steel spurs, a fox fur-fringed bazan belt, a pair of segmented platinum gauntlets, a striped dark purple surcoat and a steel grey surcoat cut with an assymetrical hem.

Overly lavish and ostentatiously decorated banners of snow white and virescent hues line the stall, and two merchants who look more like self-important snobs than hawkers stride back and forth, at turns completely ignoring and striking knightly poses for patrons as they shop.
Obvious exits: west

On the stand you see: a pair of bone-inset rose gold spurs, a slender belt bedizened with rose gold, a pair of scaled black gauntlets, a blackworked surcoat of bone white linen and a heavy black velvet surcoat.

The Knight Way, Back Stall

[The Knight Way, Back Stall - 28046]
Housed a bit further back from the main market thoroughfare, the stall is open-air, with only a small, thin strip of canvas overhead to protect the interior from the elements. One side sports a long umber banner with a virescent tortoise, the other a cerise banner with a snow white coney, with the back opening out into the woods. The space is otherwise bare, save for a writing desk topped with swathes of cloth and embroidery supplies and a silver-edged table.

 #1 cerise-eyed leaping coney
 #2 umber-swirled grinning virescent tortoise
 #3 cerise-outlined coney silhouette
#4 pattern of three overlapping tortoises
#5 quintet of silver-stitched howling wolves
 #6 dagger-pierced bleeding heart design
 #7 white-chested deep blue swallow
#8 pattern of vine-wrapped roses and carnations
#9 black crow on a field of green design
#10 bright yellow and black wasp design
#11 scythe and angry tortoise design*
 #12 double-headed snow white coney*
 #13 blood red-backed roaring lion*
 #14 sword-wielding skeleton design*
#15 trio of soaring red-beaked vultures
#16 intricate hunter green knot design
 #17 iridescent rearing unicorn
#18 tiger and crescent moon design*
#19 grey-backed carmine sea serpent design*
#20 splayed and helmed raven design*

She comments, "Some designs have a * -- this means they have more detail for SHOWing. You can see that detail if you ASK me ABOUT DESIGN DETAIL." She pulls the papyrus back and adds, "When you know which design you want, just ASK me ABOUT ORDER {DESIGN #}. Make sure you're holding your Knight Wear surcoat in one hand and 175 raikhen in the other hand."
>ask seamstress about design detail
A tall beak-nosed seamstress responds, "All I do here is designs for Knight Wear surcoat embroidery. The current list of designs is here on this sheet of papyrus." She shows you a thick strip of papyrus:

~~Knight Wear Surcoat Design and Design Detail Options~~

 #1 cerise-eyed leaping coney: --
 #2 umber-swirled grinning virescent tortoise: --
 #3 cerise-outlined coney silhouette: --
#4 pattern of three overlapping tortoises: --
 #5 quintet of silver-stitched howling wolves: --

 #7 white-chested deep blue swallow: --
#8 pattern of vine-wrapped roses and carnations: --
#9 black crow on a field of green design: --
#10 bright yellow and black wasp design: --
#11 scythe and angry tortoise design: Set against a background of graduated umber tones, a virescent tortoise is depicted in boldly outlined strokes below a series of crossed scythes. The tortoise's entire body is facing to the left, its claw-toed legs and head fully extended out, and its beady eyes and the flat line of its mouth are drawn in what amounts to an enraged, ready-to-attack set of lines.
#12 double-headed snow white coney: Couched in the midst of a field of cerise with nebulous edges, a snow white, double-headed coney crouches, ready to spring forward. The coney's heads are positioned so that both sprout from its neck, one next to the other, with the left-most one facing in that same direction, its expression, for as much of one as a coney can have, undeniably intently fierce. The other head faces right and has a more reserved, commanding set to it.
#13 blood red-backed roaring lion: With a mane of gold-flecked yellow thread that glimmers in any ambient light, the lion is otherwise only portrayed as a yellow-filled, black-outlined creature. Set against an oval background of blood red, the lion's posture is tilted partially upright so that he stands on his hind legs, his forelegs scratching at the air with sharp, extended claws and his maw stretched open in a roar.
#14 sword-wielding skeleton design: Embroidery of variegated shades of brown and green makes up the vague impression of a forest in the background of the design. The forefront contrasts sharply with its solid black stitching, presenting the form of a skeleton raising a wickely curved sword in menacing fashion, with a closely clustered set of dark crimson garnet beads staining the blade with a sheen of blood.
 #15 trio of soaring red-beaked vultures: --
#16 intricate hunter green knot design: --
 #17 iridescent rearing unicorn: --
#18 tiger and crescent moon design: Rearing up on its back legs, the tiger is shaded in vivid orange, save for its off-white underside and its numerous pitch black stripes.

Make sure you're holding your Knight Wear surcoat in one hand and 175 raikhen in the other hand."
>ask seamstress about order
A tall beak-nosed seamstress mutters, "You need to be holding a Knight Wear surcoat in one of your hands and 175 raikhen in your other hand if you actually want to order."
>ask seamstress about joust
